Glad to see Toonami was still able to hold onto the sword art online Dub rights. I was concerned since the GGO spinoff series air in Hulu. Since Season 1 and 2 perimeter on Toonami that much had a contact that alot them to get season 3. But the GGO Spinoff series most not count in the deal. Even though it SAO it not the main SAO so it most not be in the contact with Toonami which is why Hulu got it over Toonami since Aniplex of America since 2017 has add all title there new dub show right to Hulu. And Season 2 of Blue Exorcist also did not return to Toonami either when Season 1 air on Toonami so that got me worried too. But glad that Toonami still has it.

It is a very good anime to watch. I hope they can also bring back Trinity blood on TV or get Afro Samurai on the Toonami block. Both shows would be good to see on Toonami. Do you think that's a great idea.

SAO Haters is gonna hate all they want but Sword Art Online is here to stay on Toonami after four years of being not on television. I agree with people that Overload the anime is a way better show than SAO with a similar world building but that don’t mean I not going to watch Sword Art Online season 3, I going to watch because of Toonami and the ways of their selection choices of animes.

Axel Winchester Dude, I never like any of the Sword Art Online anime period but that doesn’t mean it unwatchable. I watch every shows on Toonami on Cartoon Network (1997 - 2008) & Adult Swim (2012 - Present) and never I come across a show that was so god awful that it was unwatchable/most hated in my lifetime.

@@AleydisZeta Also not all of it is hate either. Some people just dont like sao like how some people dont like shounen (I still find that weird). I know I used to think it was bad, but had amazing animation (honestly the main reason people watch sao or boobies). Then I saw rwby v4-6 and it surprisingly made me think sao was fine. It's not my favorite show, but it's fine for a watch.

It's Reki Kawahara's crowning achievement. Alicization is the best SAO arc yet and the animation has done it justice. You should really give it a watch, especially if you've seen previous seasons.

It mostly not in the current deal in place with Toonami. Toonami sign on for Sword Art Online with Aniplex of America years ago was for the main series with them airing season 1 in 2013 and season 2 in 2015. So because GGO SAO Spin Off Series is not apart of the main series Toonami may have not been alot to air it. Because since 2017 Aniplex of America sign a contact with Hulu that give then 1st rights to all there new dub titles. Something tell me since the spin off series that end up airing on Hulu if you did not know yes the dub is on Hulu. Technically it counted as a "new show" and because of that Toonami could not touch it. The reason Toonami can get the dub rights for SAO Season 3 over Hulu is because that mostly sign a contact with Aniplex of America back when that air Sword Art Online 2 in 2015 that would get future right to all the new season of SAO or something to that effect basic on how good it in rating for season 1 it was a no brainer for Toonami sign that contact at the time. Which was before the 2017 Hulu Deal with Aniplex of America basically grandfather in. But since the spin off it technically not the same show since it spin off it mostly does not count apart of the deal. My claim can back up even more since Season 1 Blue Exorcist dub air on 1st on Toonami but Blue Exorcist Season 2 did not air on Toonami and air on Hulu which is another Aniplex of America. It saddly since Sword Art Online is most going to the only Aniplex of America title dub we see air 1st on Toonami anytime soon thanks to that Hulu/Aniplex of America deal. As a madder fact Sword Art Online 2 was the last Aniplex of America title to air on Toonami until next week when Sword Art Online 3 come on.

You really should actually go watch season 1 and the movie. They integrated aspects of Ordinal Scale into the Alicization anime so it's totally canon now
