They are balanced to the teeth. This means rule-sets are set in place to create fair gameplay for everyone involved. Sometimes we do this "dynamically". For example: Maybe a low ranked team would start with pistol only, then get a specter and light shield. After switching sides they maybe can full buy, etc, etc. This gives a sense of suspense to the video as the opposing team would slowly face an increasing challenge!

you should do a plats vs plats but tell one side that the opponents are radiants and the other side that the opponents are irons. and see if the mentality really affect their performance

The radiants aim and crosshair placement is so smooth and perfect, almost robotic. The immortal also has good aim but his crosshair placement is shakey compared to Sonee. Like, his crosshair will drift occasionally

food for thought: the gap between top 10 radiant and the entrance to imm3 is the same as the gap between gold to diamond. top 10 (NA) as of writing is SEN Sacy with 861 rr, and threshold for imm3 is 200 rr meaning 660 rr gap. rounding down, 600 rr is equivalent to 2 ranks away. don't forget that they achieve these gaps in purely radiant/immortal lobbies, so top 10 radiant is truly on another level.

Even if the rr difference between imm3 and radiant is the same as gold to diamond, I think the difference in skill of the imm3 and radiant is much higher than gold to diamond skill wise I would say the difference is close to gold to ascendant or even immortal because of the refined skill and the amount of time that radiants put into the game

I feel like the main reason the the skill diff from gold to diamond is because everyone in that rank is good at one thing and has major skills to improve while immo to rad has slight improvements

like dont forget that there is a difference between top 1 and top 10 radiant too solo players who aint in a esports team barely make to the Top 10/20 radiants, and like the level pros play is insane, as an example pros are on a level 10 ranks above radiant lol

@@creepynutsrl honestly i wouldn't say that the difference is a skill issue. you could probably put anyone in top 10 radiant into a pro lobby and they'll do reasonably well, but the diff between pro play and soloq is in the level of the game itself. in soloq peeps are trying to do whatever they can utility wise, in pro lobbies they have set executes and are listening to an IGL which makes a massive difference in the way the game is played. pros aren't necessarily people who'd get top 10 radiant if they completely stopped doing anything related to pro play and just grinded soloq, they're people who check all the boxes mechanically but excel in the coordinated play environment. steel and fns are good examples, overall if u put them in a lobby with 4 imm3 against a top 10 radiant with 4 imm3, my money would be on the top 10 radiant in a soloq setting.

I think it's the radiant's management of how he peeks his angles and when he does that makes the difference. Rather than mostly the aim. Both of their aims are decent respectively, I think it's mostly how they apply lateral thinking to a simple game of swings that makes the biggest difference between their gun fights.

Even Woohoojin (one of the most reputable and nicest coaches in Valorant) says anyone, no matter how bad they think they are, can get to immortal 1 with the proper training and mindset, but to hit radiant however, requires a whole other level of dedication and inherent skill that many won't be able to reach.

14:25 always need to go as 5 to break the wall to regain the map control that was lost by the wall, that wall by sage literally just shuts off any attack on B and easy rotates to A, + it stops the best way to attack B which is to have 3 go mid, 2 down vent and 1 into heaven and see what happens and where to go off that.

Yup, I was thinking the same thing. Feels like Sonee wanted to win the round while Lucifer only wanted to win against the him. Happens a lot in immo, where most players have big egos and only see that top frag spot, often losing sight of actually winning the game, which requires a lot of teamwork. You can even see Sonee hyping up their teammates, and kinda taking the role of igl in some situations BUT still letting them play their game without back sitting

@@megaespitia5130 I think it also has to do with understanding agents. I'm a high ascendant one trick. A lot of my friends in low immortal are also one tricks. Not saying we can't play fill agents, it's just we can't play 100% of our potential unless it's one or two agents. Radiants have min maxed pretty much all aspects of valorant especially radiants that are solidified. The bottom 100-200 ranks in radiant (300-500) are pretty much constantly changing. If you check the leaderboards you can see a lot of immo 3's with radiant in their triangles.

The radiant is calm, confident, focused, holds the shift button more while the crosshair placement is on point at all times, ready to shoot, doesn't rush things. Immortal has pretty good aim but his unnecessery movement, lack of focus on the target put him behind. The best comparison would be the one of a father and his child. The radiant is like a father, more collected. The child is a child, wants to play around, his focus is all over the place.

Just for reference, if you listen to any pro player (who normally sit around high radiant, or 900rr+) when they talk about getting an IMMORTAL 3 player in their lobby, its like a diamond player talking about/meme-ing about getting a bronze player in their game. Even though they're "technically" 1 rank apart, the difference is insane at the top end. This goes for most things at the competitive level. A bronze metal Olympian is often at a very tangible difference compared to a gold metal Olympian in performance and thats just 3 positions apart. A 0.01% player is 100x the magnitude higher than a 1% top player. It's just hard to conceive for the majority of players who sit between plat and ascendant.

As someone who’s peaked radiant, I was hardstuck immortal 3, the only difference between me and most of the radiants I played against was I didn’t play enough to hit radiant in Ep5. I was top-mid frag in radiant lobbies. But I wasn’t putting in enough time to actually hit top 500, when episode 6 started, I hit radiant and maintained it almost all the way through act 1, then I quit because of how draining it was. The difference I noticed was how dedicated most radiants were vs me.

Starting on defense in a 1v1 is always advantageous, defense 1v1s is way easier than attacking 1v1, you shouldve done two matches and both get to start on each side

To be fair, even tho Radiant is a single rank, the difference in RR between top 10 and top 500 ALONE is enough to make like 2-3 new ranks. Even if (mostly) every player in-between is insane good, to get to that top 10 rank you need to constantly play against those skilled players and win, which of course is going to make a HUGE difference. It would be very interesting to see the difference between a high immo3 vs a low radiant, and a top 10 radiant against a top 500 one, that way the gap wouldn't be as huge 🤔

I defo feel the difference. I was immo1 back then and I got trashed by those low elo radiant like piece of cake, but after awhile I got into radiant low elo (400-500rr) , I got trashed by the top10+ radiants. The gap is literally sooooooooooooo big. When playing with those high elo radiants, we really feel like we knew nothing and kinda shaky not gonna lie.

pay attention to the way the radiant player moves. Not his jumpy moves, but the way he peaks corners, he tends to swing wide making the opponent adjust their crosshair harder, he peaks an angle from a distance not close to the wall (make your playermodel appears late). He swings wide and doesnt panic he lets the opponent shoot first from time to time letting them miss and once he is sure i.e stops he shoots. His death mostly comes from close corners

as an immo3 300rr peak player, what i find annoying is that most players that are under immo2 think that radiants have really "flashy" movements and one tap every single time they take a fight because they're radiant, when this video in fact proved a lot because you can see the difference in movements, the radiant is calm and collected and takes action based on the info he has, doesn't go instalock jett and dashes in to one tap because he is radiant.
