How challenging is tech school for fire protection? Would you recommend waiting in DEP until my wanted job opens up or giving my recruiter a list? My top requested jobs are going to be: Fire Protection Dental Assistant Inflight refueling (aka boom operator) Aircraft Loadmaster Medical Materiel Pharmacy Tech Air Transportation Material Management

Hey man, I just swore in the Air Force. My job is fire protection! Can you tell me how tech school is ? Is it difficult? A lot of physical work?

Congrats man. Tech school is great here. The training you receive is top notch. It isn't difficult in my opinion but certain areas of this course will challenge you. Overall its not an impossible course, if your mind is focused you got it. Can get a little tiring at times as we wake up early on duty days. Ill be making more videos on Fire protection tech school

How much fat do you have on you? If you're pretty lean as long as you sweat everyday and drink gallons of water you should be good

Austin GT you should watch Randy Cantu on KZfaq. He’s also in the USAF and is a firefighter. He’s already in the career field and said they can get EMT certified if they decide to take the courses.

So here at tech school we do not get EMT certified. Upon graduation of this tech school we get certified in Firefighter 1 and 2, EMR and we also take Hazmat and AARF(airport/aircraft rescue firefighting)
