Some American TV is great... but some US shows are overplayed, overhyped and all-round annoying! For this list, WatchMojo UK counts down the most irritating TV shows from across the pond. @@baldrickthedungspreader3107 How the American "spin-off" (read: butchering) of The Inbetweeners isn't number 1 shows this list is mistaken. The Americans can definitely keep James Corden and I hope, one day, that they will also take back Piers Morgan (those should be the top 3). Going after NCIS is a bit ridiculous considering TLC exists and every single one of those shows is worse than NCIS on every metric.

@@73_de_CJHall most Americans that dislike Big Bang Theory dislike it because of its predictable pacing, the idea that just saying something in a technical way is itself amusing, and the fact that a comedy about nerdy stereotypes makes those stereotypes the joke. In other words, Big Bang Theory tends to fail with audiences with a greater emotional depth than a teaspoon.

Timmy Nguyen I liked him early on. I loved him during the Gavin and Stacey days and there are other projects of his I really like but since going state side he has turned into a bit of nob and lost a lot of that early charm. I have got high hopes for the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special and hope that can bring some of the old James Corden back

NCIS is an actual agency in the US Government, though the characters are obviously fictional. No way a Cowboy Cop like Gibbs would ever be allowed to work there. And although the show went down in quality after Ziva left, it was quite good for the first seven seasons.

I think it’s a bit of a niche show. Though I hate people who say they like it because they think they are smart to get the jokes since some of them are science, game, comic or otherwise geek culture related. Though there are some jokes that kinda mock that culture at the same time so if you have a good sense of humor or that kind of taste then you might like it. But some people have been wired to hate American comedy after that 70s show and friends. Bear in mind quite a lot of people won’t like something if they think it’s too main stream. Like when I was watching Naruto I never and still have not seen one episode of Bleach.

yeah but it went on for too long. you cant seriously say series 10, 11 and 12 are good. they completely ruin the whole series. like all American tv shows they go on for too long so the later series completely ruin the whole series. I would even go to the lengths of saying series 7, 8 and 9 were shit.

I remember when the US Inbetweeners came out and as a fan of the UK version I found it just depressing as hell to watch what they did to it. U just knew it was gonna be bad when U saw it was gonna be on MTV. I'll still never forget the cold rainy night it came on, still fills me with dread.
