Consider it a meta-example. It'd be a pity for the T-800 to miss out on a technicality. Consider how your feelings towards the T-800 would change between the end of the first film, and the end of the second, if you watched them back to back for the first time. You would cheer its destruction in the first film, but go to the complete opposite by the end of the second film in just over 2 hours.

Actually, I think the T-800s were a group mind controlled by SkyNet. If a T-800, namely, the one from T2, was able to break out of the group mind, he would be completely in control of their own actions and choices. Not exactly, the deleted scene from T2 goes over how John and Sarah had to open up his head, take out his chip, and change it's settings to where he could be independent and actually start learning things. So in sense, even base on your theory, the terminator in T2 broke free of Skynet's control, he wasn't the same terminator as the one in T1, which was crushed and destroyed.

Snape wasn't just bad... He was an evil, stalking, abusive sadist who ruined Harry's life and I will never understand why so many hype over him. He tortured his own studentds, particularly Harry, Hermione and Neville, for his own sick pleasure, making them feeling bad. NOTHING exuses that. He never loved Lily, he merely obsessed over her, like Edward over Bella. He also more or less sent Voldemort to Godric's Hollow and thereby causing the deaths of James and Lily and the murder appempt on Harry. Snape acted like a complete asshat, yes, but it was his actions in the end that makes him be on this list. He protected Harry, he sent him the sword of Gryffindor, he was spying for Dumbledore, and had to kill him because A. Dumbledore didn't want Malfoy to have blood on his hands, and B. He had to to earn Voldemort's trust. Not only that, he was attempting to protect everyone the first night Harry leaves. He was aiming at a Death Eater, but missed and hit George instead. So, to sum it up, without Snape, Harry would've been dead in his first year. If you recall Snape saved Harry his first year at Hogwarts.

He was originally a full-blown Death Eater until Voldemort threatened to kill Lily Potter, at which point he became disillusioned and became a spy for Dumbledore to try and protect her. So yes, he was originally a proper bad guy and didn't have any intention of protecting Harry at all until Lily's life was threatened.

Also Severus is my most favorite character in the series he's pure genius in dark arts and the potion, he invented some dark spells (Sectumsempra, Levicorpus, Muffliato spell which came really handy when they were hunting horcruxes) he's also the Half Blood Prince and above all he was bullied kid who was misunderstood his whole life who had undying love for Lily, who gave knowledge about the wizarding world to her and the person created by James's bullying and later who becomes good after Lily's death and sees his wrongdoings. Sorry I really love Snape, if he didn't hear that stuff Voldemort wouldn't have died for 14 years or so but on the other hand James and Lily wouldn't have died but for good or bad he saved the Wizarding World from evil Voldemort who was too blind to the power of love.

That's pretty much how I see it. It's not a bad terminator turned good. It's a bad terminator and then a different good one. Though you could still count the one from T2 as he was captured in the future (so bad terminator at the time) then reprogrammed to be good, but that happened off screen.

It wasn't the same machine. It was just the same model. If it were the same machine, then the events of T1 could never have happened. Since at some point, prior to it's destruction, in fact prior to it being sent back in the first place, it would have had to be sent to protect John Connor. If the same machine sent to kill Sarah Connor was instead sent back to protect John, then the series of events, that lead Sarah to fall in love, and sleep with Kyle Reese would never have happened, as there is now no machine programmed to do this, no reason to send Kyle back, and most importantly, no John Connor, as his birth would never have happened either.

Well, the one in Film 2 is not the one in the first film, still he is the same model and so we can see in Film 1, how the Terminator of Film 2 was, since they were at least very simmiliar. Maybe even the same. So while we do not see the "redemption" (while i would not even say that even, since he just seems to be a slave who is not allowed to kill, without really noble motives), we can see, that it happened.

Dude, he was a spy for Dumbledore. I agree, he shouldn't be on the list because he was a hero from the beginning. He was always protecting Harry and doing what was best for him. He had to kill Dumbledore in order to convince Voldemort he was loyal, and even though he was mean to Harry, he saves him a lot.

Yep Rexy and Blue (Jurrasic World) However Blue went Good Bad and then Good. Though it was probably imprinting on the raptor that made it good again. Roland Tembo was great call.
