Top 10 Battle Use Souls - Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow

This is demonstration of top 10 best souls, to use in battles. It does not include souls needed for non battle purposes, and status riser souls aside from Lubicant Soul. There is many other useful souls, such as:
Mimic - money from damage.
Tsuchinoko - disount in shop.
Chronomage - stops time (neede to get in one part of catle).
Giant Bat - allows flying.
Erinys - 20% more EXP.
Flash Golerm - use Rotten Meat\Spoiled Milk to recover HP.
Peeping Eye - shows hidden places.
Headhunter - all stats rise.
Gremlin - LCK 8.
Triton - STR 16.
And so on.

True. It hits once as it backs up to take the swing, and another time when it swings. I confirm.

If you use the Red Minotaur's soul while having your back facing the enemy, the giant axe would hit the enemy twice This would make its crazy amount of mp usage more understandable And even if you're using the Chaos Ring, you'd still want to do this

killer mantle is also good to use on red minotaurs when for farming xp

Nightmare is also really good. Creaking Skull is an underrated pick, and Ghost is a good early game option.

Devil, Curly and Manticore are interchangeable, but Manticore is the strongest of the 3 (especially since it comes from a miniboss). Mandragora's range is pretty limited and costs 110 mp relative to other more economic options like Legion, Nightmare and beam skeleton. Giant Ghost: Basically better witch but it more or less invalidates projectile enemies. Wanna turn Death into a joke? Giant Ghost. Runner Up: Ghost is not mentioned though it is a powerful early option until you can get and reliably use valkyrie.

Mamdragora has light damage, though. Some enemies are highly susceptible, like demons.

How does Soma's portrait change into red eyes?

It changes after beating Graham with 3 speciefic souls equiped, which allows to continue the game, and unlocks way to best ending. This video is from boss rush, after clearing the game. So its after that event.

How do you get infinite mana? Or is it a bug/cheat?

This is not a bug\cheat. This is effect from item called Chaos Ring. In order to get it you need to collect all souls, after that it appears in one of the rooms of Chaotic Realm.

More specifically it appears in one of the rooms that's just the void of space. Also, you gotta make sure to get the shadow knight and demon lord souls that only appear in the chaotic realm
