Invader Zim was incredible, but I can understand why it didn't do well with kids. I mean, it was terrifying at times. I'm surprised Nickelodeon even picked it up, but with the popularity of Courage the Cowardly Dog, I guess the decision makes sense.

Invader Zim should of been on Cartoon Network. It never fit in with Nickelodeon's style, and they always lied about when new episodes would be on... Cartoon Network would have supported it better.

Spectacular Spider-Man and Spider-Man the animated series are honorable mentions and took a back seat to FAMILY GUY?! The show is still going!!!!!!! Meanwhile these 2 shows were probably the best interpretations of Spider-Man both of them had memorable voice actors Christopher Daniel barnes and josh Keaton and had amazing storylines

Teen Titans should have never been cancelled. Because if it was still on the air we would have the Abomination that is Teen Titans Go. In fact Cartoon Network seems to be making a lot of mistakes as of late... Uncle Grandpa, We Bare Bears, Mighty Magi Swords, it seems like The CEO of our childhood staple is TRYING to make shows that aren't good.

My favorite cartoon, and yes it was cancelled, is Danny Phantom (Curse you, Nickelodeon!!) I just hope there will be a 4th season like Butch Hartman hinted at, so this cartoon won't be so criminally underrated anymore.

coolcats4you Yeah, the only episodes in season 3 I kind of liked are D-Stabilized and Torrent of Terror. Other than that, so much potential wasted and if it wasn't for Nickelodeon rushing the creators to end the series after 3 seasons and even pushing for a quick 3rd season, who knows how much better it could have turned out.

Bah, opinions are opinions :) everybody has them. I for one loved it and discovered that the movie wasn't supposed to be the ending, but another season or two was going to be created, but since popularity with the show took its toll, it wasn't the case. But new cartoons have been coming out, some not so good, but others enjoyable! :)

Not to mention They say not to compare it to the original because its trying to be mainly comedy and expect us to be like "ohhhh ok this shows amazing"( i can guarantee they think its the best because the call it "your new favorite show") but even then the show sucks, they put .001% of their effort into the fights and the rest into comedy that tells you the fights suck and the thing is it isn't funny at all so what does it have then? Nothing its absolutely terrible

A.X.L. Alone it returned as a movie, its on Netflix. Its called Enter the Florpus. The series itself is RUMORED to be rebooted but nothing has been confirmed, according to my girlfriend. But I do recommend the movie. Its really cute.

Definitely missing: "FREAKAZOID!" An animated looney-superhero-series from Warner that had some success back in the late 90s but was cancelled after two seasons because it didn't click with the demographic the broadcasters wanted (kids), ignoring the hordes of fans in other demographics (college students).

It doesn't hold up as much as you hope (I bought the dvd). Also, it was a huge ripoff of a comic character already in existence. So much so the original creator sued Spielberg Studios and won easily, which is probably part of the reason it didn't last.

Actually Zim was very popular. The budget was extremely high and the amount of viewers that it got were not enough to keep it going. If the show cost less to produce they easily would of kept it on. They even tried bringing to back in 2012 but the creator would not accept a smaller budget.

It's not meant to compete against it. It's simply a comedy spin off in which each episode isn't related to the previous one. I personally love Teen Titans Go! It's funny as hell

Leah Elberson teen titans go is nothing like the original teen titans. it does not have a story line, the characters are REALLY different, Aqualad never hated the Titans he was apart of them, and they did really stupid crossovers like Young Justice and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

TRON: Uprising. A prequel to Legacy it explored resistance from a program within the Grid who became a protege of Tron himself. The network pulled out all the stops to hinder people watching it, from random hiatuses to airing new episodes at odd times then using low viewing figures against the show. It’s not been formally cancelled, but there’s been no word about it since the last episode aired over five years ago and no home media release. A shame as it was an insightful look at day to day life on the Grid as seen through the eyes of program Beck. It’s got plenty of superhero tropes like work/alter ego balance and the relationship with one of the enemy, filtered through the setting of the Grid. The visuals also deserve a mention.

My favorite cartoons that was canceled were Courage the Cowardly Dog, Foster's home for imaginary friends, Captain Planet, Invader Zim, Samurai Jack, My gym partner was a monkey, and alot of others. I wish they'll have a channel like boomerang except they'll make new episodes instead of airing the old ones. I still love the channel boomerang though!

The MTV Spiderman cartoon that came out shortly after the first Tobey Maquire Spiderman movie. Voiced by Neil Patrick Harris, it ran 13 episodes and literally ended on a cliff-hanger (spoiler alert) with Peter throwing his costume (quitting) in the Hudson River after accidentally hurting his love interest who was NOT Mary Jane.

the major reason why it was cancelled because the lack of fan base though it was huge and items did sell very well the problem was the show was very expensive to air and didn't meet the requirements to run the show.

Futurama, while it WAS cancelled, was at least finished. They did end it exactly how they'd planned. Samurai Jack being cancelled was inexcusable; the show was a HIT and had great ratings on CN.

Green Lantern The Animated Series. It used the mythos from the comics in a way that didn’t overwhelm newbies yet was engaging to those familiar with it. The original aspects resonated with the fan base, such the Interceptor and characters like Razer and Aya who deserve to be introduced into the comics proper. The characters and plot lines were intelligently written, with Aya’s arc in the second half being of particular note.
