Even though she never became a mom due to a medical condition, Ellie from "UP" would've been one bad-ass adventurous loving mom. ^_^... and Carl would've been that caring, humble, sweet dad. I love how the end he became that cool grandpa for the kid. Living up to Ellies' wish for new adventures. I love that movie so much.

A mom is always someone special to their children and these Disney moms are many of the best when it comes to supportive love. The thing with Dumbo and the motherly love of his mom, their song “Baby mine” always brings me to tears

Most Disney mothers are amazing and loving minus the stepmothers or the kidnappers. I kinda wish that Ella’s mother from the 2015 Cinderella was on this list. Similarly to Bambi’s mother she isn’t in it much but she makes a big impact. She’s the reason Ella becomes who she is for the rest of the film. She’s kind, caring, gentle, nurturing and just an all around lovely person.

There is one mother you forgot to mention, Walt's own mother Flora Call Disney, who sadly wasn't able to see Walt become the major success he became. Flora passed away from a gas leak in a house that he and Roy bought for their parents, it really hit Walt for he felt responsible for her death which was why in so many movies there were children without parents or no mothers since, subconsciously, that haunted Walt.

Mrs. Potts is one of my favorite Disney mothers, also Pixar mothers should’ve had their own list, since Disney and Pixar mothers are much different. Also Sarah Hawkins is so underrated, should’ve been on the list if it wasn’t for Pixar mothers, but Helen Parr deserved it.

Okay this should be interesting. If non-Disney Moms (like other animated moms) were on this list I'd actually put Mrs. Brisby up at the top because of all the extremes to go to just to save her son's (and other kids at the end) life. 10. Um, to be fair, Duchess is a good mother, but she never really 'saved' herself or her kids at critical points. That was either O'Malley or their mouse friend (I can't spell it) and others. There was only 2 instances when Duchess helped her children out and that was she initially found her kids and when she and Thomas held onto her sons when that train went over the railroad. That's it. I do adore Duchess though, but she wasn't as sufficient as ya'll make her out to be. Great mom though yes so she does deserve to be on here. 9. Wait, that was Oprah? Dang I never knew. Well good to know she did a great job with this character. 8. Awwww I saw this one coming and gees what happens to her breaks my heart every time! 7. Yes! She's a great mom! I feel the moms who defend their kids from harm should be up higher, but at least she's on this list. Granted, I do prefer Pongo (because he reminds me of my dad lol), but I do like Perdita. 6. *Breaks out the tissues* Tear jerker here folks. 5. Yeah this one is underrated so it's nice to see a mom like this one here. 4. I never watched this movie so I can't really say much. All I'll say is that after I heard what happened to her, I felt so bad. 3. Okay Mrs. Potts is an amazing character, but I don't know if she should be higher then someone like Bambi's mom simply because as a mother, we don't see her do all that much since the central focus is on Belle and the Beast. But then again, she's maternal to Belle and the Beast, so yeah I guess that counts too. 2. OMG YES! How could I forget about this one? Now I feel bad. This movie isn't one of my favs by a long shot but I did love Kala. 1. Yeah I am not surprised since she's your typical modern mother. Heck I see my own mom in her compared to the rest lol. Well she's a combo of Helen and Perdita. Nice list overall! Now I would have added Aurora's mom to the Honorable Mentions list at least simply because she did give up her daughter for 16 years for her own protection. How many parents would be willing to do that?

I wrote this for my mom and gave it to her on her birthday last week. Never forget what your moms have done for you and what they’ll always do for you. Dear Mom, You spent almost 29 years having to deal with me. Having to deal with a kid with ADHD and Asperger’s. Having to listen to my complaints about life. Especially when it came to school and bullying. You are my hero. 2018 had to be the hardest year of your life. After my accident, you dropped everything to spend stressful days and sleepless nights at Nana’s and home making sure I was okay with little help from Dad. It was difficult for me, but I will never know how difficult it was for you and what you went through it mentally or emotionally. You were always the first one there when I would leave for surgery and was always the first one I would ask for when I came out of surgery. You always made sure I got what I needed. You said exactly what I was thinking when I couldn’t. I know I’ve been saying this a lot, but I want to thank you for being there for my milestones and never stopped believing that I had the strength to overcome whatever hurdle I came across during my recovery. And like everything else in life, you were right. I don’t know if I could handle everything with such a calm mind better than you. You’re the strongest person I’ve ever met. You’ve supported me in everything I’ve ever tried and held me up when things came crashing down. You have always been the guiding light for me, Michelle, and Dad. We can’t go through life with you. You taught me about strength. I know we fight a lot. It’s more unfair to you than me, but I always know through pain and heartache, you never stopped loving me. I want to apologize for always having you be put in the middle of the stupid arguments Dad and I always seem to have. I’m thinking about what the pastors said Easter Sunday about how God is always behind you, next to you and in front of you. You spent my whole life behind, next to, and in front of me. You never turned your back on me and have been my guardian. I am still thanking Him that He was able to give me to you. No one else could do what you do for me. Thank you for not including Lady Tremaine on this list. She was just as bad to her own daughters Anastasia and Drizella as she was to Cinderella. My best geuss is that she only wanted one of them to marry Prince Charming, so that she can over throw them and rule the kingdom. Talk about horrible parenting. Edit: Also, I prefer to call Mother Gothel just 'Gothel' because she is NOBODY'S real mother. So what's the point of saying Mother before Gothel?

Sally in Song of the South, Glynis John's who plays Mrs. Winnifred Banks in Mary Poppins, and an unvoiced Minnie Mouse playing Mrs. Emily Cratchet in Mickey's Christmas Carol which pre-dates the Russi Taylor Minnie Mouse era.

I think Mrs. Jumbo is the very first mom character. The very first Disney movie is Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs: at a young age she has no parents, 2nd film is Pinocchio, no mom but the blue fairy did bring him to life, 3rd film is Fantasia which has no story of a mom and dad by music well not until the sequel and the 4th film is Dumbo which makes Mrs. Jumbo the first Disney Mom Of All Time.

I knew Kala would take Tarzan in with a gold heartbeat from the moment she met him as a baby.

The scene where Bambi's mother gets killed by a hunter is very similar to the scene in The Land Before Time where Littlefoot's mother gets killed by a sharptooth. Even though Littlefoot's mother was killed by a sharptooth, that hasn't stopped him from being good friends with Chomper.
