Sanji's backstory with Zeff is one of the best moments in the series. I absolutely love that moment where Sanji realizes Zeff gave him all of the food and ate his own leg. It was at that moment you realized how much Sanji meant to Zeff and you get why Zeff has basically been trying to get Sanji to quit this whole time. Sanji finding the All Blue and accomplishing his dream, was worth more than having essentially his adopted son stay by his side.

Underrated moment that was honestly really well done was when Koby comes to give Luffy his first Bounty Poster. I loved that moment where Luffy tells Koby, "Be a good Marine," and Koby in turn tells Luffy, "Be a good pirate." Not only does it cement their friendship despite the differing paths their lives are going to take, but it echoes the moment when Shanks gave Luffy the Straw Hat and said, "Be good Luffy."

One of my favourite moments was in Syrup village, when Luffy asks Zoro how he managed to know where to look? And Zoro replies "I didn't. I thought the mansion was this way" I laughed so hard. The fans know its just the beginning of Zoro's getting lost adventures🤣

They killed it!! I sobbed at Nami’s “Luffy…….help me” just as much as I did in the anime. Mihawk, Captain Kuro & Buggy were some real scene stealers. I’m so glad that it was received so well. I can’t wait for the next season! ♥️♥️♥️

This is a masterclass in live action anime adaptations!!!! The tone, music, actors, the balance of goofy and serious I mean wow the hype was real and worth it!!!! You know it's legit when an iconic scene where Nami ask Luffy to help her make you feel the same way the animals did!!!! Add more seasons netflix!!!!!

My favorite had to be that sea battle between Luffy and his grandpa. From Luffy’s “NEVER!!!” To That proud Scottish laugh! Only family can be both that destructive, stubborn and full of rage…and at the same time be that proud of each other for putting up a good fight!

I think they nailed it! One Piece is a very difficult anime to adapt but they found a way to make it look good. They truly captured the soul of the anime. And the casting was perfect!

Best moment for me is at the end of EP4 when Usopp brings his flag and him and Luffy argue over whose Captain. The way the camera zooms in when Nami laughs for the first time in the LA, and Luffy and Usopps surprised face when they stop because she is laughing and then they all start to laugh together. It’s perfect.

I don't think it's been said enough how good of an actor Jacob (Usopp) is. I mean people talk about his, "Why won't anyone believe me?" Scene, it's really good. But his reaction to Zoro's defeat, I only just noticed how well acted that moment is, it breaks my heart! Usopp really cares for his new friends and Jacob and the writer's really show that.

HONORABLE MOMENTS: - The outlining of Sanji's backstory with Zeff - Sanji's introductory scene (plus the boys teasing Nami by calling her "madam") - Smoker's reveal - Mihawk bringing Luffy's bounty poster to Shanks - Arlong's speech on racism toward fishmen - Garp and Coby's board game - Garp confronting Luffy - Roger's execution - Usopp's despair when nobody believes him about Kuro - Nami and Kaya bonding

I also think Garp throwing a cannon ball was such a Garp Moment that it deserves a mention, as well as when Luffy tries to Convince Kaya to give him the Going Merry, but other than that, i quite agree with ya

When Nami tells Kaya not to blame herself, because he used her and took advantage of her, that hit HARD!! Knowing Nami's backstory and what comes later in the story, she might as well be talking to herself to justify her actions and what she had to become. Like Kaya, Nami was used and taken advantage of by Arlong. The only difference is Nami willingly let herself be used as part of the deal with Arlong to try and save her village and loved ones, while Kaya was an unwitting pawn taken advantage of for her kindness and naivete rather than her talents.

Honestly one of my favourite scenes is the last scene with the barrel where the Straw Hats are declaring their dreams as they set off, and I think this scene is BETTER in this live action than in the manga/anime for one specific reason and that is, we see the flashbacks of them as children as they are declaring their dreams: they are all finally setting off together to fulfill the dreams they've had since they were kids! Beautiful stuff.

I think my favorite moment in this series so far was when Koby was with Helmeppo at the bar of the Baratie and he straight up tells his companion who Garp was to Luffy. Helmeppo's reaction was priceless. I so badly want to see a season 2.

With the rating and viewings the show is getting on Netflix, Season 2 is guaranteed to happen. No way is Netflix going to sleep on this gold mine, i just hope they take their time and don't speed up the process in order to make money faster. As long as they realize what made this season great, all they need to do is rinse and repeat the process.

Can't believe my favourite wasn't even on the list! "I, Roronoa Zoro, vow to stand by your side, from now until the end, until we find the One Piece or die trying. So bring on the marines or pirates or sea beasts, you're my captain Luffy, and I'm your first mate." So perfect and heartfelt between these two darlings, especially after the "Nope, not a crew!" of the first episodes. But truly, the whole first season is a delight, all the mentioned top ten included.

My favourite scenes were: - Sanji’s Farewell to Zeff. That made me bubble some tears in my eyes. - Sanji finding out Zeff ate his leg and gave him the food. - Mihawk showing Shanks the bounty ad With Luffy on it. Shanks reaction and crew absolutely overjoyed. - Mihawk battling Zoro so expertly, accurately and with minimal effort. Even though he’s a villain, he has a warrior’s honour. Although he played and out skilled Zoro in such a humiliating way. He did in a way teach a valuable lesson in skill, humility & strategy. - Luffy giving Arlong repeated machine gun punches.

The One Piece adaptation was sooooooooooo good! A few more scenes that I found memorable are: - the drinking game between Zoro and Nami. - Nami sewing Luffy's strawhat. - Nami's past. - But most of all: the barrel scene where they each tell what their dream is and place their foot on it + the epic music from One Piece anime that resounds.

Not so much a moment as much as an integral element but the balance between lavish sets and hugely impressive CGI really helped me get absorbed in the saga as despite using plenty I never experienced CG fatigue and the actors were thus able to shine without being swallowed whole by the fake world around them. Kudos too to the casting choices which I have to say I was initially concerned by but proved to be a fantastic bunch who really gelled and nailed the team dynamic. GJ. There are some scenes though has questionable quality to it, it may have been rushed. I'm sure you know which one. Not sure which studio delivered that though. but 95% of it was pretty good overall though.

For the longest time I praised Takeru for playing Kenshin as if the character actually became an actual person. Now I can add the actor who played Mihawk in this adaptation to that list, it's fking perfect.

Oh my god, they nailed every iconic scene from the manga and anime. Slight variations to certain events without changing the main story to compress 30+ episodes into 8 is how you do a live-action adaptation. I cannot wait for Robin's "I want to live" scene and Chopper's decision to finally join the crew! Please get Jamie Lee Curtis to play Dr. Kureha!

I loved the last scene of the season with all characters shouting the dreams they want to fulfill. It's where I really think was the core of the show and I think that it was the perfect note to end the season with.

Zoro vs Mihawk was the first scene I ever read in One Piece. First issue of Shonen Jump I got my hands on had that chapter in it, so for me, that's going to be one of the most memorable ones.

the help me scene is something that I will never be able to forget. there are other iconic scenes but this is the only time that Luffy has passed his straw hat to anybody. it has a deeper meaning than most people think. he's saying that Nami is one of them. nami is a straw hat pirate. even if she refused to acknowledge that.

Reveal of Buggy's ability 8. Usopp's despair when no one believes him 9. Zoro & Nami drinking and bonding in Baratie 10. (tie) Zoro helping Rika 10. (tie) Nami's first meeting with Luffy 10. (tie) Sanji's introduction
