Most of the cars on this list are water proof, crashing depends on how bad, everything will break if you treat it bad enough. But most of these car we take some decent punishment 😁

Been into RC for yrs now. Took a break of about 10 yrs. damn it’s changed a lot. Nice vids dude, I mainly run an Emaxx brushless 3908 Mamba Monster. Decided a few months ago to finally get LiPo’s. Not really working out on a 10 ye old truck. And recommendations for drive shafts? Had Integy but those just finally gave out after 4 runs with the LiPo’s.

It has changed so much! I got into rc cars through racing them at my local track, I started out with an old b4 and using NiMh, I quick for a while myself and when I came back, alot had changed! As for drive shafts, I guess it depends on how much you want to spend, MiP probably has the best metal shafts but they're expensive.

If you're looking for something cheap, I'd look at buying a wltoys 124019, fast, durable, great price etc.. comes completely ready to run!

I bought the HPI E Firestorm 10ht years ago, then I upgraded it to brushless. With a Li-Po battery, it became a speed demon.

I have a hoss and with a 2 ms lipo it’s is meant to go 30+ mph but I went over 45+ mph and on 3s it went double!

Ok so it's obvious,, you need a 1/7scale Arrma Mojave V2 rtr or if $700 is super steep, get the 1/10scale Arrma Senton brushless rtr for I think $400ish. Want open wheel, we'll pick up the Arrma big rock or the solid axled 1/10scale Losi LMT

Awesome video, Great choice! I also recommend the losi tenacity db pro, it's a 1/10 scale, I have had one for a few months and its strong, fast and only 3s so batteries are cheaper :)

I've got 2 X maxx trucks but I made tower to tower braces that stops the bending of drive shaft. And don't ever think to jump it again and think that's going to straight the drive shaft. Dumb idea thinking that

I've had a UDR, I'm not sure if it was just bad luck or the truck just can't handle 6s because I got the 6s bundle and EVERY time i ran it on full 6s it shattered it's gears and even ended up braking the motor shaft. don't get me wrong I LOVE that car but with my experience it's a 4s only rig. great vid too, I liked the list ;)

This is really cool. Basically the popular bashers seem to share characteristics with 1/8th race truggy platforms (minus the alluminum pan). That style has been proven for decades nice to see how its evolved. I've been out of the scene for many years. Very informative. I have gotten to run beside the 8s kraton and the losi 5. Both are fun trucks I was suprized how durable the kraton is. I was double suprised that my old school savage xl kept up no problem. A bit faster on top end but bottom is no comparison to an electric. Even if you find a old savage it can still hang with the modern stuff lol.

Yes nothing wrong with the older rc cars! I also took a break and have now come back to the hobby. I started racing with a Team Associated B4! I loved it and still today it keep up with everything and still flys around the race track even with the modern racers :) Are you considering getting back into the hobby?

Awesome B4 sounds super fun. My kids are a bit older now and can enjoy it. I'll probably become pit dad soon. I went with an electric ecx amp Mt kit (rtr) for the oldest. It looked like a great entry hobby grade platform and he gets to build it with me. Its not as complex as nitro so not a frustration deterrent. I also was fortunate enough to participate in a 110% racing clinic with the Tessmann's. That really rekindled it for me. Looks like I might be in the market for a midern xb8 lol. My old one from 2004 kept up with the field fine but didn't have the front travel, so you gotta be spot on landings.

7:34 you forgot the Traxxas E-Revo. It's suspension is genius, I personally own one and I've driven the UDR and the E-Revo puts it to shame. The speed of the E-Revo is higher, its bumper can take an ass-whupin, it can hold two battery's (I have my ESC set to take 14.8 volts which can get the thing up to 80), it can go anywhere AND I MEAN ANYWHERE, the 2.0 has the self-flip capability (mine doesn't since its the 1.0), it has the air stabilizer (it balances the truck in the air when you jump it, and it's indestructible. I've broken mine bad 2 times in 4 years. So if you are reading this and are thinking about buying the UDR I strongly recommend the E-Revo 2.0 1/8 (around 800$ CAD) or the 1.0 1/8 (around 3-400 $ used CAD). I like the kraton 8s but everyone says get the xmaxx. I need help. I want to getvthe one that won't break cause I have the tmaxx 3.3 nitro and I have to fix it more times then I drove it cause all the parts kept breaking on me.

Hey Chris! It'll depend really on what you're planning to do with the rc car. Unless you plan on doing heaps of upgrades, I recommend the Xmaxx, paired with the rpm rear hub carrier upgrade.

HELP, my dads birthday is next month :) I want to get him a good remote controlled car, preferably water proof and easily can go through rough terrains. As much as he hides it ik he gets excited once he sees a remote control car cause he never go to play with cars as a kid. My mom doesn’t think spending lots of money on toy cars are worth it, so my dad doesn’t get them. My budget would be around 150, any suggestions?? I'm shocked that you did not mention Arrma Infraction v2. Out of the box with the speed pinion you can hit 95mph on 6s batteries.

Arrma Mojave 6S V2 is freaking unbelievable! and before that I bought a Losi Baja Rey king shocks is a truly awesome scale looking solid rear axle, I've bashed that thing so hard.. -shock ends are weak and front outer drive cups on 3S will give up sooner than later. That Baja Rey is so great I'm buying a second and throwing on $1,000+ of carbon/aluminum parts at it to create the ultimate 1/10 show trophy truck😍

The SBR is probably the best scale truck but it's hundreds more than my Mojave and it just seems so big😱 -maybe when I get a garage😁 I'm actually pretty committed to the new Losi LMT 1/10 monster truck, what do you think of it?

I bought the UDR, but the body is so so weak. I am suprised that you never mentioned it, but the body is not meant for bashing. The screw holes are very weak and the body needs to be reinforced out of the box. Other than that, nothing has broken Great video! Thanx!

I was not aware of the body being so weak, I think traxxas went with realism over durability, I still think they quiet string but If you wanted something more extreme then maybe a kraton would be better for the job, personally I love the realism it has. Have you thought about posting some videos of it?

As far as I'm aware, yes, it's true, im not too sure if its just the nut itself or the hub, maybe google to see if its an easy fix, have you considered the maxx or even the Kraton 4s? I think they'll be better options 😀

Team magic is proportionately wider in length. Does it matter? Is it better for the car to be more perpendicular than square?

It really shouldn't matter, maybe if you were racing, but being a basher I don't think there will be a huge difference. I think go with the one you like the most. Personally I like the krston but if you plan to go hard, the chassis will bend but I still love it haha

I have a Arrma Granite blx 3s the v2 and it’s a speed demon on 3s all stock. I upgraded the pinion and WOW!!!!! This was my first RC now I have a Arrma Talion 6s and Kraton 6s and a Traxxas slash lcg vxl and I have the monster kit for it also 😂 I’m thinking about getting the new Arrma Notorious or Outcast 6s or Traxxas Maxx I’m not sure yet.

@@MatthewSimm do you think that the Erevo 2.0 is worth the almost 700$? I have been thinking about getting one for a long time. But I can only get 1 tho. I don’t have enough funds to just do whatever I want. But I really can’t see spending even the 600 for the notorious. And especially not 1000$ for a Xmaxx. I might end up waiting for a few months and buy 2 used ones for half price. Idk.

Its funny you mention the rear bearings and hubs breaking.... haven't broken a stock hub yet. But I blew out the front bearings, broke the suspension arms and destroyed my beautiful new RED MAXX body, and shredded the stock pinion and spur gears. All that has been upgraded since but traxxas has some serious work to do on the XMAXX.

since that video, i have destroyed pinion and spur gear (They need to use harder steel) i have also broken a suspension arm but thats due to me putting in into a tree haha!

@@MatthewSimm try a GDS Spur gear, Robinson Racing pinion, and RPM Suspension arms and get the CEN Pins. That's if you haven't done it already

Just make 3mm holes on your tires. I vented my tires and 2 years dirt, snow, water no broblem.

I love them both! Great at bashing, I think if you can only get one get the xmaxx but if you can get more then one, get a smaller rc car too because the xmaxx can get heavy haha
