Spirit Island is one of those games that always pops to mind when people ask me what my favorite board game is. Everything about the game just feels beautifully and meticulously crafted and thought through. Love it! Great video, great suggestions, and you guys are adorable. Keep it up. 😊

I appreciate the videos! My wife and I are always struggling deciding what to do together especially when most of our board games are best suited for 3-4+ players. She loves the Egyptian theme, so I'm definitely getting her Ihmotep: the Duel for Christmas. Yes, make a part 3!

Awesome content! Kosmos truly has some underrated games. Targi is another solid 2 player game by Kosmos that I recommend.

Great choices on both lists! My wife and I enjoy a lot of the games you mentioned in parts 1 and 2. We also like Azul, Smallworld, and Kingdom Builder at 2 players, and for a couple of quick games, Fox in the Forest, Santorini, Kingdomino and Love Letter. I also just ordered Fog of Love which looks promising.

Good job! There are a lot of great games on both of the couples videos! Hanamikoji is my favorite 2 player game, and it’s about to be reissued. You should try to get a copy.

Viticulture is me and my wife's favorite boardgame! Just wanted to add the the Tuscany expansion is an absolute must for it. It takes the game from very good to an all time great. Make sure to add that when you get the base game!

Second the notion for Targi! The King is Dead, Overboss, Lost Ruins of Arnak, West Kingdom Tomesaga Trilogy, Fort, Camel Up, Parks, Sushi Roll, Stardew Valley, Calico are all fantastic games that I love at 2!

My husband keeps telling me that I'd really love Viticulture. Some day! We've played a lot of Res Arcana and Above and Below and a ton of Wingspan too. I could Wingspan every day. Combining all the cards and figuring out how to get to the goals and get everything you need is always a fun thing to think through. I'm with you on Patchwork's original art: the game is so good and puzzly, why are the colors so muddy? This version is definitely nicer!

@@TerreDiceGames We really like Above and Below. It's definitely a good intro into Ryan Laukat's world, and it makes you want to explore more. Money is really tight and you do end up with not enough time to do what you want, but it's good to see how far you can get in that time too. We like the choose your own adventure aspect of the stories, though it's a little more connected in Near and Far. I know some people knock that about Above & Below, but I think it's a case where the designer was trying stuff out and made it better in later games. I keep coming back for the art. There is a definite Ryan Laukat color palette that is my jam!

We also recommend Tiny Epic Dinosaurs: amzn.to/3xizpmG and Mr. Jack Pocket: amzn.to/3dSo853 - great tiny games! Jaipur and Imhotep the duel are also very small boxes but need a table, and great for travel.

I own and love most of the games on this list. For the Hogwarts Battle fans, try the Toy Story reskin called Obstacles and Adventures. I started my collection (175+ and growing) with deckbuilding so Star Realms/Hero Realms is easy, compact and perfect for 2.

The original version has a double sided time board with a spiraling look on the other side, it has the same number of spaces so it’s just for ascetics. The Christmas Edition comes with a COOKIE CUTTER! And the Halloween Edition rebalanced 14 of the tiles which I heard is supposed to make the game slightly less luck based. I don’t have any Patchwork games by the way.

Could you make like TWO more videos like this? One for newbie players and one for advanced players? My new GF is very new at boardgaming. And I need some games that won'T scare her off.

Yes! We both have quite a lot of acting experience! Mackenzie is a musical theatre performer. Glad the video was helpful!

My Girlfriend loves HP!! I convinced her to get the Hogwarts Battle game and she absolutely loves it! Her best friend and I got her both expansions for her birthday. We have tried only the monsters expansion so far. It is tough! Especially if we get some of the harder villains in our villain deck. We both wish that the starting playing cards for the expansions were different, considering it's meant to be played after beating all 7 years. I think we've beaten the first year once in the expansion. I've heard the potions expansion is a little easier, but we haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet!

That's awesome! Jonathan actually got me Hogwarts Battle for my birthday as well! We haven't had a chance to try the expansions yet but it is definitely on my list! So glad you guys were able to find a game you both enjoy!

@@frioevie ohhh what a nice range! We love the tiny epic games, Jonathan's favorite is Tiny Dinosaurs and mine is Tiny Pirates, so fun!

@@TerreDiceGames I also have tiny epic pirates as well! It was a bit more complex for our tired brains. Note to self, don't try new games out at 1:00 am! Hoping to eventually get that one to the table!

Really good games (we own most of them) - I even think that the Harry Potter game looks interesting but JK Rowling will never ever see a single cent from me again.
