I think the game ‘Daybreak’ is an excellent example of how a publisher can be sustainable while keeping quality. I also hope to see less shrink wrap and more wooden dice as opposed to plastic dice in the future.

Thanks for the review! Just wanted to point out at 3:39 you mentioned being able to see how the board was set up when drafting for mechs/characters. But the draft should happen before the board setup so players should not be able to see the board until after they're done selecting.

For some reason, although I did not feel much of player interactions, which I really need in order to like a game, I really enjoyed playing the base game. Now that I know what is improved using this expansion, there seems to be no reason not to get it + dual layer boards?! Your video is so concise and on point! Thank you :D

What a lovely video! 💕 I know it’s Pixar, but have you ever played Toy Story: Obstacles and Adventures? It’s one of my favorites! It’s a co-op deckbuilding game, and there are boxes to open after each adventure. Adding new cards and new game mechanics.

If the player pawn is green I take it because it's my favorite color. However, if it's a green that I find ugly (typically green tending to yellow), I take any other shade with a preference for black and dark purple. Regarding my playstyle, I think the best way to describe me is that I'm deceitful/cunning: I complain when my plan fails but I make sure I have several other options which allows me to make crazy comebacks in the final rush. Also, as a chaotic player, when I find that it is impossible for me to win (whether due to an error of judgment or the luck of the dice/cards), my objective becomes to prevent the one the furthest ahead of finishing first or putting obstacles in the way of the player who derailed my plans (if there is one). Bonus: during cooperative games with impostors, I like to increase the tension by making people think I'm the bad guy even when I'm playing an innocent. In short, I'm a lovely tall gremlin.

Great video! The advice for getting familiar with Adobe products is good both as a tool and for compatibility with publishers and printers. However, people might also want to look into Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Publisher. They are direct and highly capable competitors to the 3 Adobe's products that you mentioned. I have used Adobe products as both a graphic designer and web designer with the U.S. Navy for years and have enjoyed them. Even so, a couple of years after Adobe went to their subscription pricing I switched to Affinity's applications at work (even though my organization would pay for the Adobe subscription) and at home. I didn't lose anything in the transition - in some areas Adobe was better, and in some areas Affinity was better - I certainly came to prefer the Affinity environment. The few Adobe things I missed (such as Illustrator's appearance panel) I could readily work around. I was also able to use Adobe file formats in Affinity products although at times some clean-up work needed to be done, especially with older Illustrator files using a gradient mesh. One of the biggest advantage is that for the price, Affinity applications are a steal compared to an Adobe subscription for the 3 applications. (If one has a use for all or most of Adobe's applications, then Adobe is most probably the way to go.) When Serif released their 2.0 Affinity versions (2022), I was able to upgrade my perpetual licenses for all 3 applications for Mac, Windows, and iPad for $99 USD total -- a fraction of a 1 year Adobe subscription. THE ONLY CAVEAT to my recommendation is to be sure to know what might need to be done to prepare files when working with Adobe-centric shops and publishers.

This game is great! Definitely open and play it. I had all three expansions in the base game box. Donated it to a local library last year because I had a hard time tabling it and it is a game that deserves to be loved and shared! 😊. (Also, a great Sy Fi channel 4 season series! #Bear McCreary! #Watchtower!). 😊

I bought this for my niece for her 2nd birthday. My girls are too old for it but we've loved Haba games when they were younger.

That is a major reason why solo boardgaming is awesome. It is all about making connections with those around the table. I find it real easy to get anything to the table solo. 🥷 Actually, on a more serious note, I found one actual needs connections to get games to the table. Boardgames amplify connections. Boardgames do nothing to find connections. I am purging a bunch of games without solo modes due to this reality.

I'm sad this game's future expansions are now on pause. So it looks like the 5th and 6th will never come. I was hoping for Jack Sparrow, Woody, Minnie will never come 😢

I recently got into the hobby. collecting lists, watching hours of content, falling down the rabbit hole trying to get a first game for my wife and I. Dog park was on the top of my list and I just learned that you two created the game through this video! I will be buying the game and hopefully it will be a great couples game when we get free time.
