Great list Eloy, Dru is actually one of the most unique looking vamps as she is very snake like in "Game face". All of the Masters proginy retained qualities of who they were as their line was different from most other vampires. I just just love how in depth the characterization of the vampires on the series were.

My dad used to love these types of TV series. Beastmaster, Hercules, Xena, Charmed, and also Buffy. I remember liking Xena, Charmed and Buffy a lot myself, but I don't remember much of the series at all. I'm considering revisiting the Buffy series over the holiday season. I do remember when Angel was all the rage, especially when he was popular enough to get his own series.

I really like the inclusion of Kakistos here. He is one of the oldest and maybe the most visually unique vampire in the show. I want to know how he got inhuman limbs, are they a greater physical manifestation of his demon? Were there more overtly mostrous subspecies of vampires in ancient times? I agree with you that most things Kakistos did in the show, the Master had just done better previously, so his spot on the list is justified, but I was very happy to see him at all, given how little screetime and impact he has.

My list (top 1) 1. Buffy asked how hard the vamp was gonna hit when he was blowing in the wind, and just as she staked him he jumped up and hit her with his legs as he turned to dust - it's that vampire

When I was younger I worked retail; which means Xmas music. Once it started I always got Angelus in my head going "be of good cheer. It's Christmas'

Wow! I’m so honored by you even being here. But seriously, the number 1 spot is so deserved. You portrayed Drusilla with such a dark beauty that it would have been tragic to not give you the gold. Much love.

Perfect top choice. Drusilla was possibly the most layered character on the whole show, yet was hardly really explored. Landau's performance was superb at somehow bridging the immense contradictions in that character.

@@TheTurnout You'll be pleased to know I came across this, due to Juliet's posting it on social media. :) Yes, there was some great mature stuff on that show. Just a shame they effectively doubled up on how Angelus supposedly met her, for no apparent reason! Landau was confused about this, too, when I asked her about it. I reconcile it by assuming he heard Dru in the 'Becoming' flashback, but didn't see her, to assume that was truly the first time, then maybe realised it was the same girl after the stalking had commenced. He looked genuinely too surprised in the confessional for that moment to have been intentional. What's really strange is that she underwent, literally, the worst of any of his victims, yet, on the very show which is meant to revolve around his redemption arc, he never seemed to even think or speak about her.

I would put Harmony higher than Angel lol, the only really good thing about Angel is that he is funny (mostly because of his brooding)

@@TheTurnout I give you total props, going into the list I didnt expect Dru to be at the top, but you sold me. I'm on board. The Spike v Angel argument is always fun and I get the other side of the argument. But can't get over the lack of love for Darla and Harmony.

Thank you for that! It’s tough making a fair list, but my opinion is only my own and I respect the input from others. Darla could have gotten more love, but I also feel her impact was lessened to the overall universe due to her being offer so quickly. Harmony... well, she’s just not cool. 😂 (which was one of the factors I stayed I was using)

Darla and vamp Willow would be a lot higher on my list, but I definitely agree on Dru being number 1. Also:shame on you for putting Kakistos on the list instead of Harmony!🤨

@@TheTurnout What I like about Harmony's story is that she reinforces the idea that vampires retain a part of their human personality. Even as a vampire, Harmony is still (as Cordy put it in Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered) a sheep. It makes total sense that Spike would want to date her, she's super easy to manipulate and control. Kakistos worked well enough as a storytelling tool, but he wasn't too interesting as a character imo.

True, he didn’t build on individual vampire lore but on the lore as a whole. Harmony showed that vampires retain their humanity, but Spike already does that in a big way.

@@TheTurnout I also enjoyed how annoying she was. Mercedes McNab is brilliant at playing characters that get under people's skin, she's like a female Will Ferrell.
