The year 2023 had a lot of fun, cool, and interesting things happen while out on the rails. This video features my top ten catches of 2023, and some bonus runners up!! There's a little bit of everything on this list; steam, old, new, rain, snow, sun, and lots more! All in all, this last year was a memorable, fun, and exciting time to be trackside!
There are plenty of things to see, and lots of action. I hope you enjoy the video, and that 2024 is even better!!

I’m an old guy I like steam , that consolidation storming across that bridge was pretty cool. But they were all magnificent shots.

Duluthian here, loving to see all the videos! DM&IR fan here aswell. My Dad & I filmed the 332, and I was on the return trip home. (Volunteer for LSRM btw.)

Can’t believe the C6Ms are taking so long to arrive on the Missabe! So far only a few have appeared.

I am pretty sure Rock Island Rail got three of the CN six axles that were retired prior like CN 2127 which is painted in the Rock’s Red and Yellow. The other two will be painted in “Reborn Blue” like the GP38-2s, the GP15-1, and the NW2 that they have. The same will go for the BNSF units but not the high hood GP10 which will be painted in the “Route of the Rockets” red, white, and black scheme.
