Exactly... Like those cheap but clean 5 series from the late 2000's that were built with transmissions made from glass and critical components that have since dry rotted to hell. There's so many of them and they actually look great, but holy crap are they basket cases... Young buyers see and want them but they will be the worst decision a young adult can make...

They're actually pretty reliable cars if you get the manual N54. It's the expansion tank, water pump, gaskets, and rubber hoses that fail. Parts are extremely cheap for them, although most ppl upgrade those fail parts with metal parts. You can get a 325i manual for $2000, replace the expansion tank, water pump, and tstat, and the coolant hoses, and that car will be a blast. E46's get a bad rap because people who buy them don't work on their cars and get screwed taking it to a shop which is why it's not recommended getting one if you don't know how to work on your own cars. If you are, tho, it's VERY easy to work on and very cheap to get parts for. Once all the common wear parts are taken care of, the E46 is a sublime car that really isn't matched by anything else on the road for the price. That buttery smooth in-line six offers a sublime driving experience.

Probably the best 3k car you could buy would be a turbo Volvo. Many models available throughout the years and they are already faster than most cars on this list. Nothing is more fun than gapping tuner cars in Volvos

back on the earlier 2000s the TL was one of my dream cars, i couldnt afford it, so i got an accord v6. although i regret not to wait a bit to get a used TL, the accord v6 is a great car

Since you added BMW to the list then you could have included Mercedes. You can find several CLK 430 coupes in fair to decent shape for under 3 or reaching honorable mentions between 3k to 4k. Also SLK230 and SLK320's.

The E46 is a great choice. They are relatively fast, great fun to drive because of the well balanced chassi and still practical they also have good aftermarket support. For 3k I got a 330i manual!

Mine has 180k miles, but I only paide 2.9k for it. Good car, but sadly in Switzerland it's allmost imposible to modifie a car, without paying a fortune to get it legaly aproved. And the overpriced tuningshops only make products for the new cars. Tuning in switzerland is such a scam!

@v.s.727 Mine I got with 182k kilometers... idk what that is in miles. I haven't modified anything yet, but I definitely won't be following government regulations when I do lmao. They must punish that much more in Switzerland. In Canada, they just give out fines.

@@StealthyStrides Thought about this to. But in switzerland we have very strict vehiclecontrols every 2 years, and iv a have an aacident with a not road legal car, theinsurance won't pay, so I will not take thus risk. I'll obviously do some small mods, like the butterfly mod for the exhaust and maybe some camberplates and strutbraces. Btw mine has 290k km but still runs great.

It can be $3000, Really Clean, and Not need any major work. Pick any 2 options. Honorable mentions: Nissan Maxima and Altima V6 with manual, 200sx and Sentra SeR, Audi A4/Golf/Jetta with a manual, any manual accord with an F22 or K series. I bought a Veloster for 3100 with 140k miles.

The only car worth getting in this price range is the Lexus LS Just look around and see how many eclipse or focus you see. The BMW E46 is ok if you can work on them yourself. The G is ok but I never see them in that price range in decent condition anymore.

USA: Any somewhat cool car under 3K is ether, not working, engine is gone, water flooded or salvaged! I recommend ideal that you recommend cars that are actually cheap and examples are widely available to find for under that price range! (Ideal you currently only talk about cars that are cheap for reasons and not widely available to find under that price line!)

I had a 2011 328i n I couldn’t get that POS to stop leaking oil on the exhaust causing smoke even with new gaskets. 134,000 miles n it was a waste of 5 grand

I don't think a 3000$ 3 series especially 330i is reliable, I mean it probably had at least 3 owners, but a 330i that costs around 6000-8000$ is a deal, it probably doesn't have any flaws, maybe even new brake rotors, filters etc.

The Celica is a PRETTY bad pick, engine is unreliable, tends to beak it's oil pump (2zz) when you money shift it, and let me tell you, that gearbox just wants you to money shift it from the 5th to the 4th gear. Early 1zz automatic models have a terrible ECU that pretty much bricks the engine if it has gone 150K miles And it's not just slow... It's SLOW as fuck. Beat it in a flipping Starlet EP82... With 75 horsepower.

Hello i am living in türkiye. Turkish car market is incredibly expensive. I bought 2 cars in the last month. 07" saab 9-3 1.9 tid $20,000. My second car is 06" bmw e90 320d $30,000. In my beautiful country, the minimum wage is now 434$

Can yall please choose some different cars? I’m a subscriber and all of the list videos have pretty much the same cars… even the damn dialogue is pretty much the same….. “So let’s say a Civic isn’t practical enough for you, what you need is a Mazda Speed 3, or an old turbo Volvo, can’t forget the WRX, or the German 2J…. There’s literally more cars than that just in the U.S. alone.
