When I was a kid I got a talking Elmo doll....after 3 years it started having slurred speech and sounded borderline demonic when it talked. I intentionally threw it in my parents bonfire one night during a family gathering because I was too scared of it and didn't want it anymore... It gave off a really loud demonic laugh before it short circuited and finally burned away. To this day my family is still creeped out about it's final laugh.

I think Erwin the Little Patient looks like a unique, useful toy for kids. It's creepy because it teaches kids about what's inside their own body? and then you guys call it "gruesome"? seriously?

I remember when the Furbies came out I was in the military, and I had to make daily sweeps of sensitive areas of the base to ensure nobody had brought one into them. That sadly isn't the oddest thing I had to do either.

They always will. I found it odd that some toys these days were fecal matter based though I'm seeing a few advertised as party tricks and the like which I'll throw my support at since it's a step in the right direction

My Pal was a robot that creep me out when I was little. If a slight noise is made in the dead of night, it would light up and yell "HALT, Not so fast! What's the Password?!" There was also a Talking Tommy from the Rugrats that would automatically start up sometimes, mostly during storms. You forgot to mention that Baby Laugh-A-Lot is even worse when the battery started running low.

I love Furbies, and honestly want a lot of the toys on the list. At one point as a kid I had a Barbie playset with a little carousel for the Kelly dolls. It was old, so the voices were really distorted when it'd sing.

I’ve seen some other pretty creepy dolls in my day. My sister had some kind of get better doll that if you squeezed her hand, she’d say, “Don’t feel good” and start coughing and sneezing, and her cheeks would glow red. After a few seconds, the cheeks would stop glowing and she’d say, “All better.” That thing was a nightmare when the batteries ran down.

Putting a furby in there? My niece had them and they were adorable. She had the first version, and they were absolutely wonderful ,I don't know how It made the list. I am not young and I really like them, I wish she still had one instead of selling all of them. She had a lot of unopened furby so they were sold.

I still have Woody.EXE and I absolutely adore him but one night he just swings out his knife so fast and wow I got slightly scared when Woody.EXE almost used the knife on my 2009 Woody, then I begged Woody.EXE not to hurt him or me. Then Woody.EXE just randomly gives the knife to me and left it on the side of my bed so if he needs to use it again I’ll give it to him

Furbies aren't scary to me, but cute and interesting! They were pretty ahead of their time when they came out i think! And as said, their designs were still oddly cute to me! Although, I can still see why people would be scared of them! I mean, there isn't an indie horror game with toys inspired by them for nothing, y'know?

My friend had a Furby, but he got sick of it. We pulled off his skin and stabbed him with a screwdriver until he started yelling things in some incomprehensible freaky language, so we put him on a stump and waited for him to move. Once he did we blasted his ass with a 12 gauge. Best use of a Furby ever.

I was one of the "lucky" kids who had a Teddy Ruxpin. The mouth would move randomly and it would make sounds in the middle of the night. Other creepy offenders included Speak and Spell, a rollerskating doll that would randomly lurch, and a Raggedy Ann doll my grandmother made. Ann is short for Annabelle, of course. Thing gave me nightmares. I hate dolls to this day.

Aww. I had an Amazing Amanda when I was younger. My parents got it for me to prepare me for when my younger brother was born. There was a few times at night that it woke up and said it "needed to go potty, mommy". The 1st time it happened, my mom simply told me I "forgot to tell her to go to sleep" and helped me with it. It happened almost every night for a week from 10 pm to 3 am. So we ended up having to flip its on/off switch between play times 😬 I still have it somewhere lol. Its creepy now because I ripped off one of its eyelashes and ripped out some of its hair💀💀💀

I had a furby and took it on vacation with us one year. After a restless night in the hotel, I guess I had left the thing in the car and when we all got in, IT WOKE UP. It just randomly opened its eyes and went AHHHH!!! and we all flipped out.
