I still can't believe that no one brings up in the first episode of rebooted, when the overlord turned cyrus borg into a cyborg while we hear him screaming in pain

Mr. E’s Death 2. “How does it feel for you to lose everything?” (Episode 84, Bounty Destruction aftermath) 3. “They were never my parents!” (Episode 81, Lloyd vs. Harumi) 4. “I have no son.” (Episode 83) 5. The Overlord possesses Garmadon. The trend is that past S8, things got a lot darker.

Personally I think the darkest moment is when Lloyd meets Pythor and asks what happened to the other anacondrai and he responds with saying that they must have starved until they were just bones and then you realize that he ate all of them.

Season 8 Garmadon: I have no son Season 9 Garmadon: Find my son. Garmadon can’t make up his mind. It was also really dark when Lloyd lost the picture at the end of the episode.

It makes me pretty happy i kids show like ninjago is serious and dark enough to get a top 10 list of dark moments

Yeah, the death of the Ultra Dragon May have been confirmed by a member of the Ninjago team, but there is also a small piece of dialogue from Kai in the scene of the Iron Baron’s throne which hinted and confirmed that it was indeed the remains of their beloved original dragons. The quote goes “His throne... I already hate him.” - Kai

Remember when Kai realized Skyler was the spy and he got her on her back and wound his hand way back? He looked like he was about to knock her lights out.

Not a dark moment but a sad one: In Season 9 when Harumi is about to die and get flashbacks from her parents death when ahe saves that family from the building collapse

Don't forget a honorable mention Pythor: the anacondrai devourer. (The lloyd's scene when looks a snake skeletons).

The fight between Lloyd and Garmadon in episode 83 was TERRIFYING.

I also find it dark when in season 5 episode 1 morro possesed lloyd because you don't see it happening but you hear his screams.

I think the "This is what it fells like to lose everything you love " scene is number 1

I remember watching The Overlord steal Lloyd's powers, but I was too frustrated and distracted by the bad love triangle between Cole, Nya and Jay😂 to notice just how dark it was, he basically crippled Lloyd

If I had to rank the top 10 Darkest Ninjago Moments myself, I would put the fight between Lloyd and Garmadon in episode 83 at the number one spot.

ninjago is actually pretty dark for a kids show tbh and i love these kind of videos tanner lately you’ve been doing so many speculations and stuff i wouldn’t think of you to make this

Alot of these scenes is why I love Ninjago, it has its light moments but when the writers wants scenes to be dark, they go all out.

I think that another dark moment would be the one where Ronin hacks into Zane and slowly shuts off his functions until Zane was completely shut down 😐😱😵

Compared to the other seasons, I feel that Season 8 has the most darkest moments.

What about Garmadon's revival ceremony? It's definetly the darkest moment in ninjago yet

maan ive thought about that cole's reflection scene so many times, but hearing someone else confirm my fears just makes me want to cry :'c

I think the top 3 darkest moments are: 1 - the fight between Lloyd and Lord Garmadon in season 8 2 - Harumi making Lloyd watch the bounty get destroyed 3 - Mr E’s death, and Garmadon threatening Harumi

I am surprised that he didn’t mention when we saw Morro’s dead skeleton. That took me off guard. I was like “oh, we’re going there?”

My number one would be Mr. E’s death.

So Harumi idolized Garmadon because he destroyed the Great Devourer, how can she work with Pythor when he relased the Great Devourer?

Another overlooked idea is the whole thing with Nadhakhan kidnapping Nya and forcing her to marry him... obviously it's a kids' show so they're not going to include anything too disturbing but when you really think about it it's kind of messed up.

For Cole's reflection - It was explained in the beginning of season 6 that he didn't see anything in his reflection because he later discovered the ability to disappear at will since he's a ghost .

3:54 Jay was supposed to have an eye patch, but since he literally wished Skybound out of existence, they don't mean anything anymore anyways

In s9 e2 kai says:"by the look of his throne i already hate him" so they knew it was the ultra dragon

And by the way another darkest moment is that the Ninja are trapped in the Ancient Pyramid. I cannot watch to see Ninja died by lava. I saw the episode “Ninja vs. Lava” and I am going to run away for sure if I see Ninja dies.

The darkest and saddest moment in Ninjago is when Nadakhan banished Clancee (Aka me) and the other pirates.

Seriously, I'm pretty sure Harumi knows she can't ressurect her parents and she knows that garmadon killed the great devourer but if she actually HATED lloyd the whole time, she probably should have been seen as a villain at the start of the season (season 8)

Some other dark moments that came to mind are that time with Garmadon in season 8 or 9 “I have no son”, another being Jays realization of him being adopted, the time Cole was being forgotten in Day of The Departed, and probably lots more.

Idk why but Nadakhan legit scares me like when I’m watching some scenes from season 6 with him in it I would literally start freaking out and I don’t know why because all the other villains don’t scare me

One of the darkest scenes is in Episode 97, where Cole falls off the Bounty

The Cole death reflection ironically became canon in a meta kind of way. RIP Kirby Morrow Oddly Morrow associated to death throughout Ninjago when you think about it.

The entire cursed relam is basically ningago's hell

The entirety of Skybound is SUPER dark. Jay was basically being beaten over and over again until he couldn't stand. And all to get him to be in so much pain that he wishes for death. That's really freakin dark! Also, the scene where the gang finds the dead body of Morro caught me off guard. 😅

Why is this show for little kids? Can’t it be for teens? Also shouldn’t Lloyd’s possession be pretty dark. I mean in my perspective he was being tortured, also he might have had emotional and mental breakdowns at the time.

The episodes of Jay being prisioner of Nadakhan are very dark, maybe not as explicit as season 8 moments but Nadakhan was very angry with Jay, and also his desire to marry Nya was very creepy, I love Nadakhan as a villian but he has a lot of angry issues.

On number 8 I would consider that one episode where Nadakhan basically tortures Jay into wishing it all away... if it wasn’t a kids show it probably would have been worse which is SCARY to think 🤔💭about

I think the darkest moment was when Nya was thinking bout cheating on Jay with Cole

I didn't want to ever say this but Lloyd sort of indirectly killed Harumis' parents, since he sort of let out the serpentine who let out the great devourer who caused the building that Harumi lived in to collapse

Considering harumi’s origin, I think it could’ve been interesting to see her interact with pythor in some way. Pythor basically killed her parents, and he has a deeply rooted hatred for garmadon and his entire family. I don’t think they’d be too fond of each other

Ok one thing I’m really confused about is that Harumi is the same age as Lloyd because we can see her as a child in the time of the great devourer but Lloyd got a lot older from the potion and harumi was no where near the potion so how is she the same age as Lloyd

Actually kai didn't as was shown in season 2 he was happy for Lloyd and as you said he was corrupted, not himself, and from what I have seen he isn't that dark himself.

I find it impressive that they managed to get Harumi's origin across seriously considering the show still wasn't allowed to use the word die most of the time.

Unpopular opinion: I actually like the fact that Ninjago has dark moments, because they just prove that Ninjago isn't just a "dumb kids' show". Many people don't like the fact that Ninjago is now darker, but I think it makes Ninjago a much better show that everyone should watch (except little kids).

Tbh newer ninjago is a really mature show like it comes close in my opinion to tvd supernatural teen wolf the originals the only diffrence is that it has lego characters but aside from that its really dark

Since the throne was made up of the Ultra dragon it makes me wonder. If Cole had been captured with others, would he had recognized them? Since he love Rocky so much it make sense he would be the one to figure out who the bones belong to.

You forgot Harumi vs Lloyd

I find Harumi's origin sad. How her parents died in season 2. But for me, the ages don't make sense. Say if she was the same age as Lloyd at the time (because they were both kids) Lloyd was aged up to that age, but Harumi was not. Say if she and Lloyd were both 7, then Lloyd is aged up that doesn't change his normal age. Then if he was aged up to 15 physically when Harumi was still 7, then Lloyd would still be 8 years older physically than Harumi, but they appear to be the same age in season 8. I've tried to explain this as best I can, but you might not understand because it is not worded the best.

The thing about the cole’s reflecti n is explained: cole later in the season said that actually its reflection was him getting the ability to become invisible, which he later manifested!

Ninjago is perfect for anime, it would be awesome to see the fight'ss in high quality like Demon slayer. It would bang really hard
