Cutie Kitty Paws it’s probably because most Canadians take their impressions of the us from right across the border. Which would be the part of the us that tends to lean strongly to unsweetened tea.

The drinking age in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec is 18. Tim Horton's is unfortunately no longer strictly Canadian as there are locations around the USA, particularly the north-east, and one in Dubai :s Health care is free beyond getting hit by a bus. One can go to their doctor whenever they want, for whatever they want. Walk in clinics too. If you noticed, the queen is only on ONE of our bills. Various prime minister's of importance in Canadian history are printed on our bills as well, all of whom are men as well like American currency. The $50 bill does smell like maple syrup (just smelt one). Next time, get a Canadian to confirm your info before making a video. We pride ourselves in our differences from our American meighboUrs. Other great differences were not mentioned here.

What most people don't realize is that it varies between states, even the stores where you buy it. My father couldn't purchase an AK47 in California where we live, so he purchased one from a store in Arizona. While he wasn't an Arizona resident, he did have a conceal-carry license from the military and law enforcement, so they let him purchase it. I don't know much about Arizona law to say whether or not that's completely legal, but I can say we are California residents with an illegal assault rifle that was legally purchased. But that's like that with any business, where some are more lenient about rules and laws than others.

No matter how strict or loose the gun laws are if they end up in the wrong hands someone will get hurt, but in the right hands they can save a life. To me someone having a gun is no worse than someone having a knife. If they are willing to hurt you they will find a way.

You have to pass a background check in America too and all states have the guns registered in that particular state and most will have them federally registered. The majority of gun crimes are committed with illegally purchased firearms. Very few people will use a gun registered in their own name to commit a crime as it can be traced back to them.

The reason why less people are killed by guns in Canada is because they have 10x less people. Also, strict laws just prevent normal responsible people from having guns, it doesn't prevent criminals. This is because of something called the black market, if a criminal wants a gun they'll just buy one without caring about the consequences.

In the USA even the cases in which an employer offers employee healthcare, it is still paid for by the employee. In most cases, they get a discount for their employees with pre-tax payments but the employer doesn't actually pay for it. There are some employers who do, but mostly it's paid from your paycheck. Yet, most USA citizen don't read their paystubs or contracts and assume otherwise.

You got several facts wrong. Many Americans still have to work on Black Friday. Harriet Tubman will be on the new $20 bill. How many black women are on Canadian or British currency? Whether Walmart sells alcohol depends on local law. For example, Walmart only recently started selling wine in Tennessee, and the hours are restricted. No hard liquor. Also, did you call the sections of Canada "states"? I thought they were provinces and territories. Seriously, I did a search on Canadian currency. A lot of white men and Queen Elizabeth. Why judge the United States????? When it comes to so-called diversity, we are far ahead of both Canada and the UK.

Yo, sweet tea is a staple of the American south. Yet if you go all the way south to Miami, it turns back into unsweetened iced tea. If you ever get the opportunity to try sweet tea while you're visiting the south, you definitely should. Try different places sweet tea's, because it changes from fast food chains to restaurants to gas stations everywhere down here.

kumikorkki I was talking not about the differences between the countries, but what is put forth (gun control and healthcare) are not exactly so wonderful in Canada. Its debatable and she sounds extremely biased (and yes, I do have friends who live in Canada and I lived there in the 70s).

rizon72 Well, she presented facts about both countries. Were some of those facts not true? Yes, she is a bit biased but lets not confuse facts with her personal opinions.

Ice tea is sweet in the south, and unsweetened in the north us. You can request and get either at most restaurants though good luck getting unsweetened in Canada. Liquor laws vary widely from state to states and getting your late night booze can be extremely challenging if you’re on a road trip. One state all night liquor drive through, next state only available at bars in the largest size, next state only through state run stores that close at 5... No one gets two days off for thanksgiving. Just the one day.

true, but what she said was the name difference. our lemon iced tea is called that, theirs is just called iced tea. just like the difference between southern sweet tea and "sweet tea" in the northern states. (I'm from the north, but lived in the south for a while, and yes I'm American

Go to McDonald's and drink their "sweet" tea, then drink Arizona southern sweet tea. There is a huge difference in the sweetness of the two.

Mad Witch Obviously! It's McDonalds. If you're using McDonalds as a comparison to another artificially sweetened tea, you're doing things wrong. I wasn't talking about that gross ass sweet tea anyways, I was talking about home brewed sweet tea.

Sorry, but if you order iced tea in America, you're going to get SWEET tea, unless you specifically order it unsweetened.
