I like to think that Beelzemon gaining those wings in Blast Mode not only symbolizes his redemption, but also him starting to regain some aspects of himself from when he was a holy digimon. It's a very nice way of looking at it.

@@SolarBlyze It is stated that all of the Seven Great Demon Lords used to be Holy Digimon. While it's not stated in the anime, other Media has made it quite clear. Plus you could always check their Wikimon page.

@@SolarBlyze I think it's mentioned as part of Baalmons lore that it was formerly a holy Digimon? Kinda referencing that Baal, before being depicted as a false god and thus more so demonic in the bible, was basically the chief god of his own religion.

@@SolarBlyze The general lore says many angelic Digimon followed Lucemon in his rebellion against heaven, plus the angelic black wings suggest a fallen angel. To my knowledge there isn't any explicit mention of Beelze as a former angel, but it makes sense to think so, as other Demon Lord Digimon are stated to have been angels originally, such as Demon, Lilithmon, Deathmon, Bagramon and Murmukusmon. There's also lesser demonic beings like Devimon who also are fallen angels.

The thing about Lucemon is his three main forms are supposed to be an evil counterpart to the Legendary Warriors kids. His standard form is a boy just like the others, a seemingly ordinary Child level. The Fall down Mode is his answer to their Human Spirit forms. Satan Mode is his answer to their Beast forms. I just think it's neat they put some thought into his forms.

another cool thing about gallantmon and grani is that acording to the book of revelations the second horseman of the apocalipsis (war) is depicted as riding a red horse, with megidramon getting its name from the city of megido where the final battle of the apocalipsis is said to take place really ties the whole theme of both evolutions together as both the dragon of the end times and the holly angel knight that is bound to destroy it

One thing I always liked about alterous mode, not only was it a halfway point between ultimate and mega, but the fact metalgreymon gained a gun/cannon hinted at his alternate evolution of blitzgreymon. It's also the same for weregarurumon's sagittarius mode, because not only did it hint at metalgarurumon's cyborg evolution, but weregarurumon uses it as a blade weapon in it's debut episode. Hinting at his alternate evolution cressgarurumon. I think it's such a neat touch.

When I hear people talk about Digimon Mode Changes, Beelzemon is at the forefront. To me, NO OTHER Mode Changes will ever top his. My first exposure to him WASN’T watching Tamers though. It was Digimon Rumble Arena. He was my favorite Digimon to play as, and his pre-evolution Impmon was fun to play as too. Tamers just made me like him more.

It's hard to top those late episode mode changes, especially the ones from tamers. They do a really good job of making them feel like a culmination of the journey that came before that they really leave a lasting impression.

Galantmon crimson mode has always been my favorite mode change. Definitely just with the story of how guillmon first made freinds with grony as the ark to wait for takato to both of them riding him as there knights royal steed and eventually becoming one just was such a great way to wrap everything together

In this list, Beelzemon, Apollomon, and Belphemon are ones of my faves. Beelzemon is just so so cool, he's popular too. Belphemon Sleep Mode is cute. And I am glad you included Apollomon! Honestly he's underrated! I wish he's in many Digimon games. Sayo and her Dianamon got some love. Why not Apollomon? Unfair. I wish he was in Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory. (Though I was glad they added Neptunemon, another fave of mine)

Imperialdramon Paladin Mode's sword kind of fascinates me, because its the opposite of Omnimon's. Where Omnimon's says ALL DELETE on it, and Zwart version's says TERMINATION, and Omnimon X-Antibody's signature skill is named the same as the sword writing, and is in-fact basically meant to be an instant-delete move.. ImperialdramonPM's Omni Sword has INITIALIZE on it, and does what it says on the tin. It initializes, or resets and clears all configuration data. Which kind of puts it in perspective in its debut why Armageddemon just split back into its component Kuramon. But then you have to wonder.. What does that mean for any other digimon, if taken at face-value of intent? Would it reset them to Rookie, or further even? I suppose it depends on what level a given digimon starts as, as there are some cases where one gets born at a higher level than Baby/Fresh. Takato's Guilmon, for example. Though by that logic, would Omni Sword revert a human in the Digital World to a newborn? or..further back? Some questions probably shouldn't be answered..

I knew you were gonna throw that particular mode at number one because I still remember the moment when Impmon reunited with his tamers, I still remember when he got his wings and his giant gun and I still remember when he tried to save Jerry and cried out that hes trying to save her all of that really does scream digimon. Like it resonated with me in such a huge level despite the fact that he was initially an annoying brat but then it all goes full circle and he becum's a good strong digimon partner. But yeah all of the other ones you picked are all really fantastic choices though I am a huge sucker for shrine maidens and Fox girls lol. There's just something about that combination that just works way too g****** well but awesome job Karn!

I wish there are more Digimon like Gammamon, where they can change forms depending on the situation. Like a power-type, speed-type, or magic/technic-type mode for Digimon to switch into. That would be awesome. Also, day ??? Waiting for Top 10 Digive REDUX or at least a general Digivice discussion video.

No, Karn, I think in this specific case, it IS an objective fact that Beelzemon Blast Mode is the best mode change. Everything from the concept of a demon seeking redemption being given literal angel wings out of love and sheer determination to atone for his sins, the way his toy gun becomes a HUGE blaster, hell, the way we SEE every change happening, the eye change, sprouting said wings, the badass music...but specially, the way the digivolution music starts and we see Impmon charging into battle and suddenly his foot becomes Beelzemon's boot...ufff, 100/10 moment, that's a core memory getting made. The moment he used the Fist of the Beast King was also a MASTERPIECE.

Lucemon having Falldown Mode feels great to me, honestly. It doesn't feel like a mode change for the rookie, but for an ultimate that we never got, like one day we'll get a fully grown Lucemon line that never strayed from the light and becomes a truly holy being that rivals Shadowlord mode. Until then we've basically got Metalgreymon's Alterius mode before getting Metalgreymon.

Here's a fun little digimon tamers fact for you. In the run away locomon movie is the only time guilmon uses his rock breaker attack. Also the only time gallantmon crimson mode gets named.

I think Apollomon whispered will likely be an ultra like omni if we are looking at it as similar to crimson mode. As Crimson mode is considered at the ultra level.

I feel that love for a dark alt, I've been on a virus loving, dark counterpart train sense Digimon World 2, as rough as that game is. I got a lot of Digimon I like, but it's due to that love that tips a line of Tsukaimon > Devidramon > Mephistomon > Belphemon. Virus and dark type digimon can be hero's too! Myostimon just being like, a good patron of Virus types in World 1 was also just, a fun twist.

I've mentioned this in a few of the comments for prior videos, and it seems appropriate, with some Tamers Digimon being on the list. Still, I have suggested the idea of having alternate/backup Devas with possibly their own custom art, discussed and shown. The Zodiac wheel for the Chinese Zodiac isn't locked in everywhere, unlike what seems to be the case with the Greek Zodiac. There are actually animals that take the place of certain creatures on the Zodiac in different Asiatic nations, and sometimes even stories about the Zodiac. For example, the Tiger of the Chinese Zodiac is often replaced with a Lion in some of the stories, and maybe even in some parts of Asia as a whole, and we even heard in the English dub of Tamers they use the term Lion when referring to the Devas and the Chinese Zodiac a few times; Vietnam replaces the Rabbit with the Cat, but I've seen some accounts saying the Cat replaces the Rat in the Zodiac, either way, there really is a Year of the Cat, and this sort of vindicates the struggles of the Cat in the tales of the Chinese Zodiac, to me, anyway. And those are just a couple of examples; I think Karn might actually have some fun looking up the Alternates of the animals in the Chinese Zodiac and coming up with how to turn them into Devas, and maybe even have some fun coming up with stories for each of these Alternate Devas as well.

Speaking about Digimon Mode Changes, i'm sure the most popular one is Beelzemon Blast Mode from Tamers, how it connect with his redemption arc, not just a simple mode change. And an idea for your next video, maybe you can make a video about new Digimon group based on 12 Constellation or 4 Chinese Perils like the Pokemon one. We have a lot of Digimon, but it's kinda weird they don't have a group based from 12 Constellation

Priest Mode is also a Mode change that is more done so for MagnaAngemon to assume the logistics and leadership side of the Angel Digimon taking more of an Administrator task role wich is less suited for combat.

My theory on lucemon is that because he is the sin of pride, he is so immensely prideful that all levels of his are named lucemon, while x antibody might be what his non fall down mode might look like with make less gold

Lucimon fall down mode I can come up with something for it to explain it's level up. Why don't we consider a mode slider? It does change its mode but at the same time allows it to bypass it's restrictions and put it to the next level. Digimon mode slider evolution would be a pretty powerful thing.

My main objection to your classification of apollomon whispered is that dukemon absorbs grani's data to become more powerful, whereas whispered inserted itself into apollomon just to control him and it doesn't seem to be any more powerful

Headcanon: Lucemon FM being officially a mode change, to me signifies that Lucemon has a natural line that is good. Lucemon FM is a mode change from Lucemon, because his dark side is stronger than his good side which is why FM is described as an ultimate, and also why his appearance is half good and half evil. Satan Mode however, I think is his full evil potential. The characters didn't have a name for his other evolutions because he never technically digivolved into his good evos, so to those around him, they are all still Lucemon. My theory anyway!

Speaking of V-Tamer Digimon, Even though its not, Dominimon feels like it should be a mode change for Seraphimon. Almost like a more close combat battle mode for it. I just love Magna Angemon Priest Mode and Dominimon and want to see so much more out of them. Or Even Alternate Megas for the rest of Adventure that are in the same vein of Dominimon. Depowered or almost Slide Evolutions of their main megas.

I honestly think Lucemon Chaos Mode is a better name than Falldown Mode, since it utilizes both light and dark powers.

We need to see something like tamers where they become one mix ( ex. takato and guilmon = gallantmon) but what if once they become that mix they mix with another tamer (ex. gallantmon + Sakuyamon). Anyways just an idea
