Because WatchMojo knows that more people watching KZfaq videos will remember Triton (though he's really not a villain at all) on the list will get more clicks than Tinkerbell - who most KZfaq dwellers either saw on a VHS/DVD in their youth, or associate with the direct to video market spinoffs because they're even younger than that.

I wouldn't really consider Aladdin a villain. Stealing and lying are wrong on so many levels. But Aladdin was a street rat. (Homeless) he had to do what he had to do to survive. And lying to get a princess heart is a no-no. But it was with good intentions. He was in love. He even showed compassion for those poor kids who were looking for food by sharing his bread. Because he gets it. It sucks being homeless and hungry. He went about things the wrong way as a rags to riches kid. But at least he learned his lesson.

Neh-Bih Sangbong not only that but he has a very powerful magical entity in his corner! Folks who win the lottery tend to lose that money very quickly because they don't know what to do with this sudden change of budget. This is similar to that. Aladdin is a street rat, someone who could never get anything he wanted, but bam! suddenly he could have almost anything in the entire world! That power could go to anyone's head. He just proves that he has character in the end, by finally freeing Genie and realising for the first time in his life that he can rise above his social class. That Jasmine loves him for who he is.

There was never an explanation why he could not get any type of job. But the video said that wasn’t the issue but the lying, he didn’t need to lie to Jasmine, expecially when Genie has made him a prince already. It’s not good guy behavior to trick someone into a relationship with you.

I used to use lighters and magnifying glasses to mutilate and morph together those little green army men. I had a huge undead army and then I battled them. Some kids are more creative than others, and don’t want to play with toys “as is” or “as intended”. A lot of people think it’s just wanton destructiveness, or signs of a bad child. That’s BS though. It’s a spark to be nurtured.

@@rawrbeez6625 To an extent, that's true. But in Sid's case... I'm pretty sure that's just him acting out his fantasies on things that... well, normally... can't fight back. Didn't he feed some of his toys to his dog at one point or am I misremembering?
@PIB2000
@PIB2000 4 жыл бұрын
Sure, he wasn't aware that the toys were alive, but that doesn't excuse the fact that he was a major bully. Besides that, Woody scared him to stop him from mutilating more toys. What's even scarier about Sid is that even if he was not aware, his games of pretend and how he would pretend the toys were his patients were pretty horrifying. Having a troubled upbringing does NOT mean they were secretly a good person. And if a certain theory is to be believed, things didn't really turn out so bad for him as he seems to be happy with his job as a garbageman. $16.55 an hour isn't too shabby.

@Cyrese Parrish, Ariel isn't the villain either. She just wanted to explore and learn about the world. She didn't believe in judging people for their race or what they are. Triton had a bias towards humans. When you look at it from today's perspective, you could replace "humans" with "lgbt" or race/skin color and people could see from Ariel's point of view. It doesn't mean Triton is a villain but it doesn't mean his actions are very moral or good. A parent can still love their child but their behavior could still be abusive and unfair.

You can kinda see why Triton's pissed at Ariel. 1.) His wife, Athena, died so he bans music because Athena loved music, but Ariel kept breaking her dad's own law and convinces her sisters to also. 2.) After letting music back into the kingdom, Triton decides to let his seven daughters have concerts every now and then, but Ariel just doesn't care about that anymore and adds human objects to her her secret collection. And 3.) She's in love with a human(even though it's more like she got a crush on him since they didn't talk to each other yet) and risks never seeing her family again to be with the prince(who once again she never talked to and he never talked to her).

I really think Potato Head was the villain in the first Toy Story. Every facet of his teasing Woody upon Buzz’s arrival implied he wanted Woody out of the picture. He not only makes fun of Woody for everything he doesn’t have compared to Buzz, but he also suggested the attic following Bo Peep’s comforting advice (all of which added fuel to the fire). Then when Woody accidentally set off the chain reaction that knocked Buzz out the window, Potato Head rallies everyone to take Woody out, even though Buzz fell into the bushes which couldn’t kill him; Andy picks up Woody, and Potato Head threatens him should he come back. It was one thing for him to be angry at Woody, but if he cared about Andy he wouldn’t let that situation persist.

What about Buck Cluck from Chicken Little? He's practically a foil to his son: large, fat and a popular kid at school the former and small, skinny and a laughingstock the latter, but at present time both are very lonely and pretty passive (even if Chicken Little at least tries to resolve the problem, thanks to his friends' help, while the father simply stands there, waiting for the problem to disappear by itself). At the beginning of the movie, he's the one who makes notice an acorn might have fallen on his son's head, putting everyone against him and he's never seen comforting his child, standing up for him, listening to him or supporting him. Even worse, he's embarrassed by his kid's mere existence, he gives him horrible advices, he causes him even more trouble (when he lets Chicken at the bus stop, instead of driving him directly at school, he causes him to miss the bus, get to the lesson late and lose his pants along the way). Their conflict is also the main theme of the movie, so...

He overcomes his unaddressed trauma and learns 1. to let Kiara live her own life, 2. not to judge a book by its cover. He's overprotective due to his own childhood trauma (as we see in the nightmare) but when Kovu and the other outlanders join him, he sees that he's misjudged them! The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie. That said, you notice things about it as an adult that you don't see as a child. While Triton may have had good intentions regarding Ariel's safety, well-being, and overall happiness, his refusal to be open-minded and consider other points of view nearly cost him a relationship with his daughter and his kingdom. In true teenage fashion, following the confrontation with her father, Ariel chooses to make a decision while still emotional (never a good idea), fails to consider the consequences of that decision, and ultimately puts herself and everyone around her in danger by trusting someone she shouldn't have. In the end, though, they are able to reconcile their differences and each is able to get what they want. =)

Yeah. Woody being like that was the point, the same way it was the point that the other toys were perfectly happy to let him be that way until they decided they'd rather be a lynch mob. It was actually necessary for Woody to be that way as he and Buzz were foils, with Buzz being too deluded/naive. A 'flawed protagonist' (Aladdin, Woody) is not the same as being a villain and it actually makes them more real. Everyone knows someone kind of like Aladdin or Woody, which is why they're relatable and we're happy to watch them change and grow (with both becoming less insecure and more accepting of themselves/others).

I was thinking this! Almost every entry on this list is someone misguided and/or flawed, and a major part of the plot is that they learn a lesson! Woody learns that he doesn't have to be the only favourite to be loved and learns to share space, Aladdin learns that he doesn't need to lie about who he is, Triton (and Simba if we're counting the honourable mentions as part of the list) learns that overprotective parenting won't help his daughter in life and will only push her away... I could go on. The only characters on this list I agree with being classed as villains are the elephants (but weren't they meant to be the villains in the film? Is it supposed to be a newsflash that bullying is bad?), the enchantress (for not only cursing an 11-year-old just for being "rude", and come on, stranger danger, he was 11, but also cursing the servants who did absolutely nothing wrong), Zeus if we're counting the honourable mentions (if you don't know why then look at some real mythology about him. The film is so inaccurate, Hades was NEVER evil!!) and the Nicelanders (for the same reason as the elephants, but I don't think they were as bad as the elephants since they learned to accept Ralph in the end). And Kuzco, to a certain extent (although I don't think he's an outright villain, he's probably Disney's most morally grey protagonist), but like many on this list, the point is that he learns a lesson and isn't like that at the end.

Dumbo never had just one villain. The other elephants are secondary villains to the primary human villains of the circus. I wouldn't call Fix-It Felix Jr a villain. He isn't cruel or malicious and isn't involved in crimes. His issue is that he's ignorant of Ralph's situation. I think part of that is due to the Nicelanders keeping the two of them separated. And you may be thinking, "They could meet up whenever, the Nicelanders can't stop them". Except they've spent the last thirty years telling Felix that Ralph is a bad guy and dangerous and that he should be avoided. In the first few years, their programming may have still been their main personality, so Ralph may have seemed like a jerk who just broke everything without care, which would justify that Nicelanders warnings. Felix, as seen at the start of the movie, will readily approach Ralph while the Nicelanders immediately get away from him. Felix is really only guilty of not trying harder to get to know Ralph sooner, but I don't blame him so much for it because it's hard to get away from a mindset you've been surrounded by for thirty years. The Nicelanders are definitely villains, though.

He gave his bread to the starving kids, and saved Jasmine from getting her hand cut off BEFORE HE KNEW SHE WAS THE PRINCESS. Yes, he lied. But he did it because he was in love with Jasmine and was afraid she’ll reject him because of his social status, which were polar opposites. The law clearly stated that Jasmine must marry a prince, so he saw that as his only hope

What is your definition of “villain”? Are heroes not allowed to have flaws and make bad decisions? Plus, in most of these entries, the actions and traits you called “villainous” are there to set up the lessons the characters are supposed to learn! Without them, you wouldn’t even have a story! Are people now unwilling to sit through a story where the hero has to become a better person? Do we expect heroes to be perfect from the beginning and not need to change? That kind of thinking will be the death of fiction.

Personally, I feel like the Nicelanders deserve the spot on their own; Felix should've been excluded. Sure, he might've been generally ignorant of Ralph's plight, but he wasn't the one actively antagonizing him. From the game's very intro, the Nicelanders gave Ralph the shaft: they forcibly evicted him from his own land to build their apartment building, shoving him into the dump. Just because he reacts to their violence with his own excessive force, they throw him off their building into the mud as a second sentencing. Felix, on the other hand, did nothing to directly antagonize Ralph: the handyman only did his job and cleaned up the construction disaster-in-progress.

Oh yeah, blame Elsa's parents for hiding her power but conveniently forget what the initial reaction the whole country gave when they found out. They called her a witch and feared her. The whole point of Peter Pan is that he's a child who never grows up, he's not an adult in a child's body. You're asking him to be responsible and mature, which is something you don't expect a child to do. What Merida did was done out of naivety and ignorance, not because she maliciously intended it to be that way. It was wrong and dumb but was it so bad that it makes her a villain? Same shit with Alladin, he lied and cheated his way to Jasmine's heart but how do you even compare him to Jafar's malicious level of manipulation and killing off people without even a glimpse of remorse? This list is ridiculous. All these people have flaws, that's entirely different from them being evil and "villainous" Except for the fairy. She's a bitch. Not a villain, but a bitch. She's probably a distant cousin of Maleficent.

Sure, she didn't screeched at her in rage, but she did lecture her and forbade her going anywhere near the sea which resulted in Melody finding out the truth herself and getting her in danger. I think if Ariel after finding out that Melody was going into the sea she would decide that is finally time to know the truth and just sat her down and explained to her why she can't go to the sea, then none of that would happen.
