I agree with this 100% Cinderella shouldn't have been on not even Little Mermaid! Princess and the Frog I say had the better connection and had me to re-watch some of the older Disney Princesses that took the time to get to know each other approach. Beauty and The Beast, Tangled, Princess and the Frog, Lion King, and others that dealt with actually knowing the person deserve the top 10.

i feel like no one respects the fact that Cinderella was the beginning of ALL Disney romances. i do agree that she wasn't really a couple with the prince, and getting married at first sight is stupid, but it's a fairy tale, and most, if not all, Disney romances bend reality a little bit.

It goes by so fast that most people don't catch it, but I don't think Pocahontas suddenly speaks English. They are listening to each other "with their hearts" and we just don't see how they are actually communicating, but it is represented that they are speaking the same language.

Ok this is only my opinion, but I personally think there isn't much said or shown about their love story because (for one, they didn't want the movie to drag on forever) it's so personal and romantic that it wouldn't have done their love story any more justice than the creators could give it. I know this is only my opinion, but that's how I personally have always viewed that movie.

They are such an underrated Disney couple. They are my 2nd favorite Disney couple (after Ariel & Eric).

Honestly I would’ve put them instead of Cinderella. While I find Aurora beyond boring, at least Philip (despite he doesn’t know ANYTHING about her) was determined to choose who he got to marry instead of obeying his father’s orders of a political marriage to a princess he doesn’t even know. Plus the dude was already pumped to fight Malificent when she mocked him, knowing full well how dangerous she was.

@@arielanderic I’d say probably 8 or so for me. They’re my favorite of the classics but sadly Aurora hardly appears in half the movie. I get she’s sleeping for like a third, but for me her personality literally starts and ends with wanting to find true love. Maybe if we got more of her processing her aunties lying to her all her life and seen a more genuine connection with Philip they’d be higher. I will give credit Philip was willing to give up his crown and possibly ties to his dad for a peasant, plus he had to fight a freaking dragon alone.

I have said it before and I will say it till the day I die PHILLIP IS AN AMAZING PRINCE! I doubt most guys would fight a dragon, break through a wall of thorns, fight tons of evil little minions, fight against and fight against evil magic for girls they’ve known for multiple years. Phillip doesn’t even know that Aurora is his betrothed he just knows it’s some random girl he met THE DAY BEFORE! He did all that for a woman he hardly knew!

The captor's attitude doesn't change (unless combined wit Lima Syndrome), it's just the victim's perception. In Beauty and the Beast, Belle is clearly not going to accept the Beast's bullshit. She doesn't want to get out of her room to have dinner with him, she runs away, she confronts him about his temper. The Beast actually changes, and Belle falls in love after he's become agreeable, polite, considerate and more importantly has set her free. Belle never says that she understands where the Beast was coming from, she says that he changed, and thus never justifies his former actions.

In the DVD commentary to the movie, the creators mention that they neglected to give him a name. However, in a licensed CD-Rom trivia game that came out years after the movie, he's referred to as Adam. So yeah, it's official!!! The Beast does in fact have a human name. But you know?! It's gonna be a real trip once the live-action movie re-imaging of Beauty and the Beast comes out, that's when they're gonna give the Beast's character another human name for the movie. Remember Cinderella (2015) when they give the prince a new name for the movie, "Prince Kit"?! Yeah!!! Disney is really gonna piss off the fans even more by giving their no-name princes actual names in the movie remakes. XD

I wouldn’t exactly call Tarzan and Jane realistic, considering he actually almost left his family to experience civilized society in England. Not to mention there is no way Tarzan was able to speak that well in just a few days (yes it was only say a week or two, Jane literally says to Clayton “The ship will be back in a few days”) but they’re still such a cute couple considering Tarzan is so sweet and gentle with Jane, just like John Smith when he was trying to coax Pocahontas into trusting him. Also your comment for Hercules and Meg, Poca and John were the first to save each other, literally willing to die together. Not hate on Herc and Meg, but Meg seduced him at first, basically using him to become free from Hades.

Despite they technically only spent 2 days together, I’m willing to forgive that because they don’t get married at the end of the movie, but they actually have a very healthy yet realistic and mature relationship in the series as sometimes they disagree but work through their rough patches, not to mention how much Flynn trusts her to handle herself when he can’t fight alongside her. But I also really love in the beginning they actually didn’t like each other, she was simply using him as security while he had absolutely no intention to actually take her to the floating lanterns and kept trying to use her sunshine and rainbows and slightly naive persona to his advantage to trick her into giving his satchel back. Not to mention I really love how when he feels he can open up about being Eugene Fitzherbert, he learns to empathize and connect with Rapunzel’s loneliness, but there is always hope things will get better.

But yeah how the hell did Cinderella and Charming make 3?! He literally relied on a shoe, can’t even remember what she looked like or even asked her name when he approached her at the ball. And he had the nerve to dump his problem on the Grand Duke to find her instead of going out himself! I don’t go for Cinderella saying “I was a dishwasher when I met the prince, but he loves me for me!” Honey, it was his daddy’s idea so you could become a baby machine to produce grandchildren for your hotheaded and quick tempered father-in-law. Not to mention when her stepmother announced the girl who fit the slipper would be the prince’s bride, why the hell did she start singing and dancing in FRONT of her stepmother?! Girl, are you that stupid that you might’ve well said ‘He wants to marry me!’” 🙄

It focused more on just the three good faries being the main heroines, King Stefan and King Hubert and Maleficent than it did on our main couple. Simply because well Aurora and Philip and kind of bland and they didn't even know all that much about each other because they just met at a forest and that's it.

Xaviergray87 I think the problem with Snow White, Cinderella, & Sleeping Beauty is that the side characters ended up being more interesting than the main characters. It wasn't until The Little Mermaid until the prince & princess were interesting. Also, in the actual Sleeping Beauty fairytale Aurora doesn't do much. It's hard to make Aurora the main character because her purpose in the story is to sleep.

She saved your life and stopped a war and NOW you’re doubting her?! That’s something Rolfe would say. Doesn’t help we get no scenes where Rolfe is shown to be falling for her.
