That’s right, we’re counting down our top 10 disturbing Disney movie deaths that left us with chills. While Disney is renowned for its enchanting tales, they also have a knack for delivering heart-wrenching moments that have scarred us for life.

Mufasa's death was what really made me cry, next to Bambi's mother's death

Huh. If I was to pick the most disturbing (Animated) Disney death, I would pick Horned King's death. The Black Cauldron isn't that well known but Horned King's death is absolutely the most disturbing.

I will add to that is the death of Anna and Elsa's parents on how they saw the water memory of their parents before they drowned in Frozen 2

Agreed! That moment in Frozen during "Do you want to build a snowman" makes me cry every time, even if I'm just listening to the song! Thanks for commenting!

I wasn’t traumatized by any of these deaths. I do feel sad about the deaths of Mufasa and Bambi’s mother. Also the death of Kerchak in Tarzan

Same and it is heartbreaking when you love a loved one. Bambi had to grow up without his beloved mother, same with Tod and Littlefoot from Land before time

When I was a kid I didn’t feel anything when Bambi’s mom or Mufasa died. …I feel so weird when people talk about how upsetting it was for them. The Fox and the Hound was the first movie that made me sad though, watching the old lady have to let Todd go.

Ah yes! The Fox and The Hound pulls hard on the heartstrings! Thank you for your comment! Don't feel weird about not having the same experience other people have had watching certain movies though. Your different experience makes you uniquely you. I used to judge myself so harshly for not having the same experience as others. Now I lean into what makes me different

Yeah me too. The deaths still get to me even now as an adult. And Tweed having to let Todd go was the hardest thing she had to do. She didn’t want to put herself in danger keeping him around. It’s as sad as having to let your pets go.

None of these deaths made me cry...and I was even young when I first watched them all, I don't know why but I don't cry when deaths happen..maybe because I never fully experienced a bad one. The only time I have was when my rabbit died.

You mispronounced Shan Yu's first name. Because of the a sound, I think it has a lower a or a "uh" sound. (Have you seen the cartoon movie?)

Thank you for the comment! Apologies for the oversight. It's actually an "ah" sound but our VO artist has an accent :) We will make sure to pay more attention to that in future videos. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention!

@@epictentopia By the way, I have seen "The Lion King" when I was 5 and the death made me cry a a little the time Simba cried. (I didn't cry when watching 'Bambi', when his father said to him that his mother won't be with him anymore.)
