Pelican, Isis, Russian Circle are closer to post-metal than post-rock. Quite epic too though!

Russian circles is the business but where is "If these trees could talk" that's by the far the best inst band I've heard. And for some space rock I call it check out this band called Exxassens you won't regret it :D

upsidedown, baroness, and who? never heard of any of these others. Not my cup of tea. not sure i would call any of these "riffs". more just background noise the guitar should stand out and punch you in the balls.
