Fenugreek, not fendy greek! Fenugreek is a spice, also good for diabetes.

Tea tree oil should also be in this list. Very anti - fungal/antiseptic. Great for cuts and infections. :)

Great list! I think everyone has a different top 10 for sure. You left out pretty much all of my favorite ones out. My favorites are: tea tree, peppermint, frankincense, myrrh, rose, and black seed oil which is not an essential oil but it’s the best

I’ve spilled a hot tea on my knee and put a jojoba oil on it straight away. From bright pink my knee within few minutes became my normal colour again, the pain disappeared. I’ll try your advice as well.

I can't use essential oils as they give me migraines that last for several days. I recently found that essential oils contain natural chemicals that are endocrine disrupters. I have been oestrogen dominant since puberty, was given a total hysterectomy for ovarian cysts and endometriosis and was put on oestrogen-only HRT. I am now using bio-identical progesterone and eliminating xenoestrogens as much as possible.

Hi Shelley I use frankincense oil it's great for women that have hormone issues I mix it with a carrier oil and use it on my arms legs neck very beneficial especially if you're going through menopause just thought I would let you know!!!😉😁🌷

My favorites would be peppermint, lemon, and lemongrass. I want to try lavender sometime. I was wondering if it's safe to diffuse these around cats?

Depends on how sensitive your cats are. I had to stop diffusing citrus and lavender oils as it caused one of my cats respiratory issues.

Fenugreek for men...I think she would like the properties... Lavender =>topic for skin particularly burnt, lemon=> cleansing/detox pepermint=> digestive issues turmeric=> anti inflammatory, anti oxydant holy basil=> adaptative, reduce stress, lowers cortisol levels, Ginger=> anti inflammatory as well, flu symptoms, cinnamon=> sugar metabolism, interesting for weight loss and insuline restistance...And she's right it's difficult to memorize them if you listen once! He said charts are accessibles if we google essentials oils!

Ah yes Clary sage/fenugreek are for hormones balance I guess sexual because sage is for women for instance reduce menstrual pains I don't know about PMS but I think so you have to check...Then for men fenugreek to balance hormones may be reduce oestrogen it's my guess we have to look closer for the exacts effects. I don't remenber Frankincense is what for...They talk a lot about them in different videos...We should writte sticky notes while watching videos if we want to use essentials oils without consulting a praticionner I guess...

I use lavender as a deodorant actually 😂 works pretty good actually but yeah I didnt know it was gentle on burns. I was using cayenne pepper and neosporin. This was a helpful video in giving me clues on fighting bacteria. I hope to compliment your research and discover how these oils effect bacteria more.

I remember the 80s when I was young and the clubs. That Patchouli was a scent I’d smell from more than a few people. I never learned wth the scent was until about 2000. A friend bought it and was wearing it and I ask him and he said it’s Patchouli. It always smelled like refined pot to me. Anyone understand this scent? I want to buy it.

Got to make sure the brand you're using is food grade and make sure they are safe, must use in moderation as with anything but they are the best addition to my daily routine.

Hi there dr Axe.. Whenever I contact someone who sells ¨organic, natural and pure¨ essential oreagno, rosemary and cinnamon oils, they say they don´t suggest to use it orally... I wouldn't say they're safer than conventional medicine. I use teas and oils along side conventional medicine. :)

No mention of oregano or tea tree. Also, I'm looking for a fact check, does coconut oil kill the main culprit bacteria in cavities? I heard this in a well prepared and informative video that turned out to be an infomercial but he never claimed that his blend was the only one that could kill cavities he just left out a few things that make his blend a one stop shop. So I'm just trying to figure out if coconut and coconut oil only kills this bacteria and ill update this in a moment when i get the name of the bacteria

I assume it was diluted. The heat can be held in when covered with oil. I do cold water first till it cools. Sorry you had a bad experience like that.

I use eucalypsus as it thins mucous in the lungs when I breathe it in, helping to cough it away. I have asthma and it is good at reducing the number of asthma attacks. Good if I have a cold. These oils should be diluted before put onto skin, and burns need cooled before using any oil as oil traps in the heat.

Hi Martha, I used to put a couple of drops on a piece of cotton fabric - or whatever you have and let them breathe gently into the fumes. Try not to get the oil on the skin. I bought a blank inhaler from ebay, it has a cotton wick inside a plastic tube with a cover but that can be too powerful for a young child to manage. The piece of cotton is ideal, or a non fluffy duster, preferably not tissues as they give off a lot of dust into the lungs.

Where do you get these oils? Some are not worth buying because they aren’t natural. Cinnamon oil helps with weight loss. Instead of digesting it can you put it in your belly button & get the same results ?

it's incredible when you have a sore throat or feeling sickness coming, just make sure you have enough carrier oil like extra virgin olive oil. I see a lot of people who will try to drink it with water which it won't mix and just burn. Its easiest to just get diluted with EVO and put under your tongue to absorb for about 10 mins if possible then it won't burn once it's absorbed and if it does you probably didn't need it.
