Let's admit. Princess Diana is the real star of this season

Emma Corrin was absolutely incredible as Princess Diana. Definitely my fav season !

Fact: The Crown got the "right" girl to play Diana. That's for sure.

While the Crown got minor things wrong, they got MAJOR events right. Charles and Camila did have an adulterous affair, which destroyed Diana. Period.

No matter how wrong they got it...I’m sure it’s worst in reality.

The scene in which Charles makes fun of Diana's Phantom of the Opera performance, when he's talking to Anne, literally broke my heart! How could he be so mean and heartless! He never deserved her. The marriage shouldn't have happened.

I watched the documentary “Diana: In Her Own Words” after season 4 and I will say that I believe Netflix was extremely kind to Charles and the Royal Fam. They were so very cruel to Diana.

The problem with The Crown people seem to think it's a documentary, which it most certainly is not.

they should’ve included the scene that propelled diana’s eating disorder when charles basically called her fat “getting a bit chubby there are we” is what he said ALSO the scene where diana literally throws herself down the stairs pregnant with william. those two things were paramount to her depression

I was so close to crying, after I watched the scene where Diana hugged the boy in the hospital. She was such a wonderful woman.

Princess Margaret could have married Peter Townsend if she wished, but because of the Royal Marriages Act, she would have to give up her royal title. She could not deal with not being royal. Still, it was her decision and not the Queen's. However, where Diana is concerned, the royal family does bear some responsibility.

I got through this season in one day, and I have NO regrets! Emma Corrin and Gillian Anderson were fantastic additions as Diana and Thatcher. Poor Diana, you have to really pity her, especially considering how young she really was, and how ill prepared she was to be Charles' wife. 💔😭

It was ashame how Charles was so jealous of her and how he never gave her a chance.Meaning he should have broken it off with Camila and dedicated all his efforts on his marriage giving it a chance...It was disappointing the queen new of Charles cheating and allowed it. They put her through soo much..A sad lost...Changed my view of the royal family.

Not gonna lie, in the scene when Diana and Charles got engaged, the actress who played Diana looked like a psychopath with so much head turning while the real Diana looked like an innocent woman in her engagement.

Could to you imagine being a teenager and this being your first real relationship? Some people go “ well she had affairs too” but like, this only happened after he had her pop out an heir and a spare, and told her to keep face. Let’s be clear, if this 30 something year old man would have stood up to his mother, the whole family would be better for it. Not to put down all of the good Diana did for the world and her sons.( I’m happy she had William and Harry and raised them to be kind and caring individuals) I mean look at William and Harry, they married people they loved even though we all know the queen does not approve herself. I’m 99% sure the only reason Kate and William were allowed to marry was because of the backlash him not marrying for love would cause. Plus, Megan and Harry noped the fuck out. I respect that more then anything else.

Fact is that if Charles would have been less stupid he could have had a nice life with Diana and Camila for a while. He just needed to be gentle to Diana since she was perfectly doing her duty as an Princess. It sickens me that she's dead and that he got what he always wanted.

They make it fictional and realistic at the same time to not trigger Prince Charles

I just think the royal family was so stupid about Diana and the role she had in the world. She was a great asset to their team to conquer and protect themselves and their country against a lot of attacks we see today.. One word and loads of peoples would follow her ideas, but jelousy, egos, pride, fear and resentment pushed her away! I saw her wedding cerimony on the tv, of course, from that time we were all interested in her, even then we could see she was different and the royal family was blind as to how important she could become to the UK!

Actually research teams on the show confirm that some kind of performance at West End Phantom did happen. It is known that she did go to the theater and she did record *something* though the video has never surfaced and all those present have never spoke of it. But something was recorded for private use. She could have sang the song. She could have danced on the set. She could have performed a scene. It's unknown but she did do something. So the show speculates she sang the song. Really only Charles and whomever was present know what happened.

(Completely unacccepting the fact that this was based on reality and everything will go down to ruins as the series progressed!) Anyways, I adore Diana even more after this season❤️

I started watching it; all of the actors and the people who work behind the scenes did an amazing job on the show.

I was shocked to learn of the "premature deaths" of those 2 royal sisters. I never knew about that piece of English royal history. In the U.S. there was a period of time when lobotomies were used to "calm" those who were considered mentally ill. The late U.S. president John F. Kennedy had a sister who, unknown to the mother, was ordered by the father to be lobotomized. Sometimes history can read like horror story.

All four seasons are amazing. And if you're only watching for Diana and Charles, you're depriving yourself of amazing television.

On my second run through of all three seasons so I would be completely back into the flow. In episode three of season 4, I couldn't help but cringe at the name of the restaurant that Camilla requested Diana to meet her at... The Menage a Trois.... Classic...

The actor playing Charles in season 4 did a marvelous job. It is a shame that they can't simply age him to continue the role. But Dominic West will make it easier to dislike Charles.
