I think I'm the only person on the planet who never thought Kanye was worthy of the praise he gives him self. It could be my age (27) but I've always seen his music as hacky and ripping off other artists but I guess I'm good at seeing patterns. This includes his early music. I'm sick of his fans calling his work innovative when there is nothing innovative about any of his music. He has some talent but musically speaking to me he's never been noteworthy.

I don't think they deny that he makes great music, it's just his ego speaks very loudly. It's okay when it's in music, unless the lyrics are very controversial, but speaking normally outside of music, he's just a complete jerk, it's literally that you can say anything not relating to boost any ego, and you can count on Kanye finding a way to make it so that it can speak out.

The real douchebags are the ones who climb on their high horse and criticize others without understanding their backgrounds/circumstances. Granted, some people truly deserve the backlash, but others have long made amends and yet people still act like assholes to them. It's quite unbecoming of the stone-thrower's character, in my opinion. Let's not pretend you've never screwed up or acted out against someone before. These guys have it harder because a camera is constantly in their faces.

I'm not saying we can dislike someone, but there has to be a limit to how much we dislike a person. Like you've said, the worst things these guys have done is get on the wrong people's bad sides.
