I can't stand Oprah Winfrey. When she first had James Frey on her show, she had all these testimonials from people who felt that his book really spoke to their own experiences. But when she found out he'd embellished parts of it, suddenly all those testimonials no longer mattered, and the only thing that did, was Oprah's bruised ego. So she gets him back on the show just to publicly shame him and his work. James Frey may be dishonest, but Oprah's reaction was far worse.

I could not agree more. Oprah Winfrey is such an entitled phony, who shrieks about discrimination when she and her entourage are not allowed to insist that a high end retailer manage its own business and refuse after-hours private window shopping excursions. Oprah pilloried Frey in an effort to salvage her own credibility for fawning over and endorsing "A Million Little Pieces."

***** if you are referring to rolf he was very popular in australia and britain before his fall from grace. which made the whole thing quite a pickle for the royal family because he was allowed to paint the queen and he groped a woman in front of her own husband during a charity event for military veterans in the buckingham palace garden. what made it worse was that while he was painting the queen one of his victims sent a letter containing a full account of what he did to the queen's security detail and nothing was done at the time.

Miley and Kanye have never been arrested or gone to rehab. They're still very successful and making a shit ton of money. Y'all are just gonna have to accept the fact that twerking isn't going to ruin someone's career. As for Kanye, the worst thing he's done is interrupt Taylor Swift and act like an arrogant asshole, but the music industry is rife with people like that, it's nothing new. Unless he does something terrible like Chris Brown, he's not going to be blacklisted any time.

***** People rape because they can get away with it. These women all had the same story - they went to Cosby because he said he would help them get into the business. Then he raped them. And because he's "the third most trusted actor", and the father of america, and the pudding man, and just an overall nice guy, no one believed any of these women when they came forward with the same story of being drugged and raped. I believe them, because they have nothing to gain and so much to lose by coming forward with rape allegations against such a famous and loved individual. Most people would rather believe these women are liars ans fakes and frauds rather then believe that Cosby could do something as despicable as that.

Sometimes, I do feel bad for celebrities. Yes, most of these people in this list were a bunch of douchebags, but just how the media treats them is so sad. There are many magazines that post false articles for the sake of getting readers (I remember seeing one that said Ellen Degeneres was divorcing her wife. What?!?!), and paparazzi mercilessly following them, flashing a billion cameras at once and asking questions that range from "appropriate" to "downright cruel." And to top it all off, one slip-up instantly makes them a joke. They can do a thousand good things in their lives, but as soon as one juicy slip up occurs, they become the laughing stock of the world....

I love the guy and hope he does come back but so far he has just been in The Expendables 3 ( all his other films so far have been direct to video movies ) which seems to be inviting any action star that was popular in the past. Mel's career is a complete shell of what it used to be. He used to be one of hollywoods biggest action stars, now Expendables 3 is the only time one of his movies has been in wide release theatres for like 5 or 6 years.

Rolf Harris should be #1. Unlike the other things on the list there is no getting away from child abuse. Even if a star is found innocent the damage such a claim can do is permanent. Also Harris was a national treasure and part of many people's childhood memories.

Agreed. As a kid, I had a tape of his songs. I dearly loved that tape. After his conviction, I mailed it back to him. I doubt he'll ever get it, but the act was cathartic. He's a monster. The others don't compare. Rolf and Jimmy Saville should have taken 1st spot here.
