It always bothered me that Raven and Hector don't have a support.

Ahh, spoilers but, my boy Erk finally made it on one of these lists! I never see enough love for my favorite mage in the series with big Fire Emblem content creators such as yourself, so it warms my heart to see he hasn't been forgotten :') Like most in the U.S., Blazing Sword was my first Fire Emblem game, and it was early in my adolescence. I didn't have much friends growing up and this series was one of the first to help me better understand people by how much Fire Emblem likes to follow tropes, and Erk was someone I related to right away. Reserved and had trouble interacting with others emotions, didn't really know how to express my own. Plus, introducing players to the magic system and classes was really interesting, he had been my introduction to traditional mages in these types of stories as well. I was also one of the very few people who uh, shipped him, with Nino. Annoying as Serra was, she did grow on me and I was excited to see her and especially Nino when Heroes came out (though I have since deleted the app out of boredom, but I'll tell you what, soon as Erk gets in, I'll be back in for life). Their interactions resonated with me as well, even later in life as I would have a relationship very similar to theirs, and my love for these two actually inspired an unfinished fanficition of mine I released a few years back, haha. I even used to roleplay him for a bit on Tumblr around the same time, and through him I made more friends in the community than ever. In the end, Erk has just been a special character to me since day one. I was extremely happy to see him included in the Cipher card game, I bought one immediately after finding out and am glad to have some official art of him, now only if he was in Heroes.... Anyways, Erk's stats in the game really do reflect his character in my opinion. He has some shaky growths, but he puts in a lot of work and has potential to be great, just like Pent sees in him. Sorry for the rambling, I'm sure no one will care, but I'm glad to see some love for Erk in today's time :')

When I was a kid and played for the first time having no idea and Lyn is there when you wake up and later after all the troubles you leave her after saving his grandfather in tears hit me in the feels so hard. She is my fav character of the game even if she is not the strongest.

a little correction thieves could promote in genealogy of the holy war and thracia 776 and were way more combat focused hence the name thief fighter so yeah they could promote in 2 games before being taken out again and then put back in blazing sword

Even though I never played Blazing Sword but I've watched your let's play of it and it looks like one of the best games on the GBA. Plus I got to experience the characters through Fire Emblem Heroes. My favorite character in Blazing Sword is Ninian with my 2nd favorite being Eliwood who is my favorite lord in the series.

Raven x Lucius is best ship in FE7 fight me. His con is not a problem when he has good speed

I'm only gonna say one thing in regards to this list, especially the number 1 character: Yes. Just, yes

For me Lyn was one of my best units to the point that I could predict when she'll get a critical. Sure she's a glass cannon but I still enjoy her and I don't really think she's a bad unit.

Played Blazing Blade for the first time in the past couple months. My personal favorite unit probably has to be Florina. She gets a great head start from Lyn mode (helped further by the map design in Lyn's story having lots of maps with mountains she can fly over), and while she did take some stat boosting items (most notably a body ring) to bring up to speed, she performed great. In fact, she was the only character in my playthrough to reach 20/20, and ended with Strength, Speed, Skill, and Luck all capped. Lyn is also great, though. To hell with the meta, Myrmidons/Swordmasters are my favorite class, and Lyn being a lord version of them is one of my favorite things about her. And her unique animations are fantastic, especially with the Sol Katti (real shame that weapon is too heavy for her most of the time).

Everytime you post a video, it makes me want to go back and play every game in the series.

I hope FE 4 gets a remake before FE 6 and 7

looking at this video blazingknight i will admit blazing sword flew over my radar because at the time the permadeath kinda scared me away and at the time my tactical mind was not as potent as it is now and now i have this game downloaded and now the permadeath is not as bad and i still proudly call awakening my first fire emblem and all so biggums judgment was also on point so props to him ps i am still trying to figure out discord and now i will try not to hit the phone icon unless in the future you wanna talk but other then that thank you for the good work

Every-time i try to use erk he gets magic screwed and only has around 9 magic by level 18 the only downside of having a 40% magic growth

A real shame I never got through most of the supports in blazing sword without sacrificing tactician rank. Can anyone tell me how to gain supports faster without having to place units together and wait at the end of the map when it's time to sieze a throne?

How about top ten Fire Emblem Sacred Stones chatacters next? Anyway, it's a shame Erk isn't in Heroes. Anyway: 10. Raven is voiced by Bryce Papenbrook in Heroes, who also voices Henry in Awakening. He's an Axe infantry unit, must be a pre-promoted hero, and he's a good unit with Basilikos, I think this should be Raven's personal weapon in Heroes while Linus should have something else. Overall, not a bad unit, if you can manage to recruit him. 9. Erk has yet to make an appearance in Heroes but I think he should be a green tome infantry unit, and he should be voiced by either Johnny Yong Bosch or Michael Sinterniklass. Which do you think? Also he is a good mage, but never underestimate any unit, they may surprise you. 8. Lucius is voiced by Michael Sinterniklass, who noiw voices Takumi in Heroes and Warriors. I'm currently in Chapter 7 so I can write the script for the wiki. A shame he's a colorless staff infantry unit. He should be a legendary hero with blue magic infantry unit. That would be nice. 7. Hawkeye is voiced by Taylor Henry in Heroes, and also voices Zephiel. He's certainly beefcake material, was he inspired by Arnold Scwartzeneger? And wow, learning he's the father of Ingrun from Binding Blade, THAT WAS a surprise. I have a 4 star lv 40 +10 Hawkeye, so he's ready for five star, his skillset is not bad for another green axe infantry unit.. And holy cow. Why is it his and Zephiel's battle sprites are unique among the GBA titles? 6. Nino is voiced by Sarah Blandy in Heroes, who also voices Kagero and Fae. I wrote a Fire Emblem Warriors fanfiction adding more chapters and characters to utilize, and Nino happened to be one of them after saving her from the detestible Lust clone Sonya. I have a five star Nino with Vantage 3 and Glacies. Forgot to mention she's a green tome infantry unit. She also has an alt where's she's a green tome Flying unit. Also, judging by looks it's no wonder Lugh and Raigh remind of of this cute mage. She is their mom after all. FE7's Est never disappoints if you're willing to put the time and effort into her. 5. As of now I do not have this guy in my roster but I'm hoping to. Jaffar in Heroes is voiced by Walden James, who also voices Subaki. He's a colorless dagger unit with a deadly skillset if utilized correctly. Plus the fact he's a green unit who can hold his own is awesome. Recruiting him is a hassle but it might be worth it. And he will give his enemies... "their eternal reward." 4. Florina was voiced by Julie Kliewer in Heroes, who also voices Sharena. She was a bad unit once upon a time but now with her own personal weapon she can kick all kinds of butt! Again, forgot to mention she's a flying lance unit. Now I wish her sisters were in Heroes. 3. Oh boy, here we go, the three lords, starting with Hector. In Heroes, Hector is voiced by Patrick Seitz, who voiced Garon in place of Travis Willingham. With his stats in Blazing Blade it's no wonder he's an armored axe unit. I am glad I have three of his four alts, the only one I'm missing is Valentine's Hector. The only one left is beard Hector from Binding Blade. 2. Eliwood is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal... Man he must be Marth since these two share the same VA. I have both of his alts, regular and Valentine's, with regular being a sword cavalry unit and Valentine's Eliwood being an armored Lance unit. Man Eliwood gets the shaft a lot. Makes you wish he was in Warriors too. 1. Yup, even I kinda saw this coming. Lyn is voiced by the legendary voice actress Wendee Lee, who also voices Sophia, and Veronica. Lyn has five alts to her: The basic infantry sword unit, her bride alt, a colorless staff unit that introduced many a player to Dazzling Staff skill, her Brave Alt, a colorless bow cavalry unit who was, for a time, everyone's worst nightmare, Valentine's Lyn, an armored blue tome unit and Legendary Lyn, a green bow infantry unit. From the first time we see this woman we knew she would be popular. She's an assist trophy, she has stickers, there is various fanart and finally she has a spot in Warriors. She not only had humble beginnings in her own game, but humble beginnings with the fanbase. Lyn, you keep being you, there's no one else like you.

On the fe 7 front, my fave units are 10. Serra 9. Ninian 8. Jaffar 7. Matthew 6. Nino 5. Florina 4. Hector 3. Eliwood 2. Lyn 1. Kent

Another cool list, differences here and there but opinions! Also fitting that perhaps this is the only FE game where the lord characters actually take up the top spots, I don't see any other pulling that off

Pent was a beast in this game, and saved my hide plenty of times in the later chapters

This list sounds about right to me; I am well familiar with all the characters mentioned, used them all at some point (Except Nino; sorry girl, Erk and Pent were way ahead of ya), and I agree with your analyses of the three lords, I felt much the same way about them. Now, if I were to have a top ten, it would be similar to this...but I would replace Nino and Eliwood with Heath and Rath. I liked Heath from the start because of his look, his honor, and the fact he was a guy riding a dragon; by the time I got to the last few chapters, he was one of my best units, certainly my best tank, and might as well have been a guy riding Grima. And I'd go with Rath because despite his stand-offish behavior, his sense of honor also stood out to me, and I liked how he had the same background as Lyn and was another of my best units because being an archer on horseback led to him killing so many enemies before they could touch him...huh, kinda like Brave Lyn in Fire Emblem Heroes.

I may not have much experience playing Fire Emblem Blazing Sword nor has it broken the rank of being my favourite in the series (that honour still belongs to both Awakening and Fates: Conquest). But after careful examination I can see why people hold this game in such high esteem even though it does not entirely synergize with me. However, like any like any other Fire Emblem game there are a selection of characters the you personally gravitate to whether it is because of their personalities, their combat utility or their contribution to the advancement in the story. Fire Emblem Blazing Sword is no exception with my personal favourites (not objectively the best) being, 10) Pent. 9) Lowen. 8) Florina. 7) Lucius. 6) Hector. 5) Lyn. 4) Jaffar. 3) Nino. 2) Eliwood. 1) Canas. But of course a very good video Blazing Knight and it was good to see you collaborate with Honest Biggums. Well done and thank you.

Lyn and Jaffar were my initial favorites when came to FE being like most the first game played of the series.

I enjoyed the video. Personally, my list would be rather similar, except I wouldn't have Eliwood, and would instead have Serra. (Though, not ranked nearly as high.) Hector would be my #1. That said, I wouldn't say I consider Hector a meat head. He was someone who was supposed to appear rather head strong when you first play the game, but in Hector mode we see he knew more about what was going on than he told Eliwood, and wasn't just acting brashly.

For having such a problem with foot & sword units not a single cavalier hell lowen and kent have some best starting stats

i have only played this game Once, and it was when I didn't do great in Strategy games, but i wanted a good Rank at the End, which hurt my Gameplay. I am thinking of Replaying this game again, and this time ignore my Tactician Rank and just focus on Keeping my Units alive and develop more than 2 Pairings in game!
