Another really hard achievement is "Getting Wood" in Minecraft

While not necessarily "hard" I feel like the achievement "Go Get Some Sun" from Call of Duty: World at War could qualify. It made you reach the highest level prestige in multiplayer, so basically restarting your progress online 10 times. Best part? It's worth EXACTLY 0 Gamerscore. Totally worth it, am I right?

When I play on difficulties like Legendary, I just find myself not having any fun. I'd like to get the achievements, but I don't enjoy doing it.

Beating the Library in under 30 minutes on Legendary

The hardest one of Halo should be Halo 3's Vidmaster Challenge: Annual (the one where you have to complete the final mission on 4 player Live co-op on Legendary with the Iron skull on in Ghosts). That was a fucking pain in the ass, only 0.2% of all the player base actually got that achviement. One of the whole team of 4 died? Too bad, restart the whole level again.

Reach solo on Legendary was difficult? Please, play Halo 2 on Legendary, then come back to me.

Reach solo on legendary wasn't too bad actually, Tip Of The Spear was the only mission that gave me any grief. The vidmasters in ODST probably deserved a place on this list though.

Oh god....7 Day Survivor, the first time I tried it I fell asleep 4 hours in on top of that roof thing you can climb on outside. Second try my xbox froze on the 5th day, after that i just went like "FUUUUUUUU" But I got it on my 3rd try, and it felt soooooo good.

The hardest achievement for these guys to get is the Unlocked Virginity achievement

I only have the Monument To All Your Sins, took me almost a week of frustration and salty outbursts. Once I had completed it I felt so empty like my life suddenly had lost all its meaning.

I hate this "play the game for hours non-stop without save" games and achivements. At some point it turns into pure suffering for nothing. Points that describe how you have nothing else than games in your life. I'm a gamer myself, I play many hours a week. But at some point it turns into an addiction that starts eating away your time and life. My little brother looked terrible when he played for wow achivements. After school he arrived at home, he ate then he played for 6-10 hours before going to bed after midnight and starting the whole thing over and over again for a year! His health was terrible that time, just like his socialisation skills.

For me the hardest achievement to earn was the "Dark Soul" achievement from Dark Souls 1where you need to get every other achievement in the game to get this one

How about the Game Over in a Flash achievement from NBA Live 10? You have to hit a buzzer beater with D wade in a double overtime in a single silo game.

Halo Reach Legendary Solo was the hardest for me to achieve on the 360 lineup because the last few missions are just brutal to the player and literally it pushes you to where you want to just give up on the achievement, but if you're a strategist you will get it soon enough. Just takes time.

Not to boast or anything but a monument to all your sins was quite an easy achievement to get as long as you take your time

I witnessed a man completing through the fire and flames on expert difficulty, it was the greatest thing I've ever witnessed.

By far the hardest Xbox 360 achievement.... Take the G.O.A.T in Fallout 3

Number 10 wasn't too bad for me. If you have played the campaign before (as I have many times) and are a decent halo player with somewhat of a patience it's not to hard. Sometimes it does get very frustrating when you are in a firefight for 20 minutes and die due to 1 grunt and have to restart at some checkpoint a long ass time ago.

Wow, none of the Vidmasters? Endure? Annual? Really?! WatchMojo what the hell?!

The COD 4 one literally made me want to throw my controller across the room, i don't care who you are, that mission is a nightmare on veteran!

I can proudly say I have the Mr. Perfect trophy (PS3) from Megaman 10. It takes A LOT of trial and error, and you have to know exactly how to dodge every attack or enemy that comes your way as well as have a lot of patience.

I'm surprised the achievement from the last mission of Halo 3 wasn't on here. You had to complete the mission without anyone dying (if I recall correctly) on legendary and end the mission with everyone in ghosts. Dear lord the memories I have doing that with my friends in middle school. LOL.

That honorable mention for South Park isn't from "The Stick of Truth" it's from the Tower Defense game "South Park: LGTDP"

On Orange Box for 360, there was an achievement worth 50 points in which you had to beat all of the half-life 2's (the original 2, 2 part 1, and 2 part 2) while firing only one bullet the entire time. Thought that deserves a spot on this list.

i imagine if Fallout 3 had an achievement where you have to discover all the location in the Capital Wasteland, including Vault 87

lol I got "Monument to all of your sins" on reach without dying once and yet I have spent over 50 hours on left 4 dead 2 trying to get "THE REAL DEAL"... and still haven't. "THE REAL DEAL" is so much harder xD anyone else agree?

Halo 3 ODST LASO: Solo and blind. The hardest game in the series, you die, you restart the whole mission, no motion sensor, no HUD, no gun (on your screen) 2x damage taken, enemy health x2, Enemies never flee, always suicide bomb or berserk, 2x the grenades thrown, but twice as many dropped, 25% ammo, all enemies are at their highest levels, 2x enemy damage resistance. your on you own, on the highest difficulty. Or for the single hardest achievement in gaming, Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius, Space whale difficulty, we don't even know if it's possilbe to beat.

The number one in the world in Tom Clancy is easily the hardest on this list. At this point if you've never played the game you could play the game for a decade and still never get it.

I can't remember if there was even an achievement for it but playing Halo Reach on legendary with all the skulls activated was the hardest thing. No reticle, no HUD, you can't see your weapon, you can only gain health by punching enemies, all enemies have twice the normal health and throw twice as many grenades, weapons have less ammo... It was almost impossible.

Let's be real here. Free Clanker from Banjo-Kazooie is tougher than all of these achievements combined.

I would like to see a list on the Top 10 Hardest Xbox One Achievements. The Xbox One had already been out for almost 3 years and there should be some hard achievements.

How can you not put max payne 3's "shadows rushed me" achievement in that?? Beat the game, without dying, saving, and under a minute (well you can game Time by killing people) and this is rewarded by only 10 points... Way harder than the dead Space 2 one, I know I have both

Where is The Shadows Rushed Me from Max Payne 3? Complete the game on the hardest difficulty without dying once, no aim assist, no checkpoints or saves AT ALL, if you fail once you have to start the whole thing again from the beginning, and you have to constantly get kills as you're playing New York Minute, which means that there's a timer constantly counting down and if it reaches the end you die! Not even a mention? Really guys? Come on...

I completed the halo reach campaign on legendary alone with all skulls expect Iron and the no hud. I can't tell you how many hundreds of hours of grinding and slowly beating them took. Worth it though totally I miss the memories

You make a Mistake. Mannbearpig is an Achievement in South Park Let's Go Tower Defense and not the stick of the truth.

Back on xbox classic there was a 3rd person shooter called Brute Force and to get all the medals you had to complete the entire campaign on Brutal difficulty (the hardest) not have any of your squad die once the entire time. Kill every enemy. Complete every objective etc. By far the most difficult achievement ive seen.

Clan Hands achievement: Dishonored. Go through the entire game without killing a single soul

Halo Reach's No 10 Spot is doable, bring certain weapons to fight "bosses" and difficult opponents. Just remember the layout from the previous playthrough and keep the skulls off...you'll need a lot of ammo. For any Mass Effect game in the No 9 spot, he is correct just do insanity after unlocking the assault rifle or sniper rifle and play as a biotic adept. Shotgun can be used by anyone in mass effect for close range shots, so you don't need training for that. But for assault rifle or sniper rifle those you NEED training to use and both offer good offensive capabilities. Sniper rifle for damage and assault rifle for rate of fire.

The hardest achievement I've unlocked on Xbox 360 is either: Seriously 2.0 in GoW 2 (not hard, it's just time-consuming boosting kills in the campaign), A Monument to all your Sins in Halo Reach, or Mile High Club in CoD 4. Star 69 on MW2 was pretty tough as well towards the end. Hardest achievement I've unlocked on Xbox One is easily GoatRoped on MCC

They forgot the one in brothers in arms, "remember September'44. You can only get on September 17th and if you miss that day you have to wait a whole YEAR to try again.

Marathon on Trials HD should definitely be on this list.

Uhh.....Oblivion Walker (Skyrim): obtain all 15 Daedrik(I spelled that wrong) artifacts in this massive world rpg. It really tests your morals as a person and then has a few trick items that aren't actually considered the needed item. It took me seven characters to get this 1 achievement that will drive you insane.......and only gives you 30 points

Beating "Halo 2" on Legendary difficulty is the toughest achievement I've ever done. Beating "Halo 2's" level "Regret" on the Master Chief Collection in less than 16 minutes is a close 2nd.
