First vehicle 0:18 is not Ashok Leyland MBPV, it's Ashok Leyland FAT(Field Artillery Tractor) an artillery gun towing 6×6 tractor. Those all white colour cabin vehicles are commercial vehicles of Ashok Leyland. 1:01 it's Ashok Leyland LBPV, light bullet proof vehicle. 1:13 is actual MBPV Medium Bullet Proof Vehicle.

its not needed anymore heavy armored vehicles, because there are more heavy ammo to destroy those vehicles. For transporting soldier can be used only 5 mm thick armor, just to protect from infantry rifles. Or, simply use trucks. There is rpg easy accessible during wars, there is anti tank rockets, there are 12.7 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, 70 mm, 100 mm, 120 mm, 150 mm, 230 mm guns. No "heavy armored vehicles" can protect itself from such weapons, so there is no reason to use them. Such vehicles more are killing himself and soldiers inside are trapped, burned after died. The side which use such "heavy armored vehicles" will be bombed with more heavy bombs than not using such vehicles at all. But, if you use such vehicles to carry a big gun, then is OK. Is no needed to use apc to carry only one 12.7 gun, does not make sense. But if one apc use 70mm gun, then plus 40 mm grenade launcher, plus 12.7 gun, plus 4 anti tank rockets inside, plus 4 anti aircraft short range rockets, then its OK. Howitzer from 40 km away can Shatter every apc produced until today. Use some soldiers to provoke the enemy, give them equipment with laser pointer, gps and communications system, when the enemy defend himself then use your drones to spot the enemy, then shoot with howitzers, multi rocket launcher or airplanes, continue forward. This is the strategy used today. Only manufacturers will earn big money from the business by producing such "heavy armored vehicles", and they will be the target of enemy. Who use big guns will win the war, who use big "heavy armored vehicles" without gun - will be defeated.

My friend the better the armor the better chances of actually surviving. For example South Africa developed and enhanced the V-shaped hull armor underneath the armored vehicles to survive anti tank mines and that helped significantly and every armored or troop transport vehicle has had it In SA. USA developed the humvee without any mine protection whatsoever and when they occupied Iraq and started facing an insurgency with radicalized people amongst the population developing and placing IED on roads. Those IED rip through the humvee killing people inside or them losing their legs. Right now in Syria an armored vehicle from SA called the mamba is being used and built by USA under licensing and other countries and UN in peace keeping missions. You have to continuously push armor technology to its limits and armored vehicles capability to suite as many roles as possible. With your logic the Abrams tank would be obsolete because of the anti tank mines, missiles and drones available that can blow them up yet the tank is still used by USA, Russia China etc because of the firepower, presence and tactical advantage you could have over the Battlefield. Armored vehicles are meant to transport troops to the battleground and support them with guns mounted on them or turrets. Troops are trained to get out of the vehicle immediately when gun fire is heard or patrolling in the city. You want a vehicle to take on patrol in an urban setting without armor be my guest.

Obakeng Morobane You know yourself brother. A £20,000 dollar TOW system is causing widespread grief, Syria, Armenia, Azerbaijan it's messed bro. They even yes TOW on soft infantry targets. Forget ERA stuff like this, it's no help. Screw heavy armour unless 155mm or less.

@@gangstar8652 like I said before with the other guy, you have to try and develop the most versatile armored vehicle you can make. I gave an example with the humvee it wasn't created to withstand IED while in SA they created a vehicle that can withstand IED or mines even though their a poorer country. The USA paid dearly for not making a more versatile vehicle. With your logic tanks are also obsolete just because there's anti tank mines and missiles. That navy ships are obsolete because of anti ship missiles. Heavy armored vehicles like in the video offer as much protection as possible taking into consideration all the threats that it faces. These armored vehicles can be used to support infantry during a fight. Some even have anti aircraft missiles,r or other anti aircraft systems that can easily take down a drone that can accompany the infantry fighting vehicles. You would rather go to a battle field in a lightly armored vehicle with little mine protection because it's obsolete against anti tank missiles? When your Convoy could get decimated by small arms fire.
