So by this video's logic Jack Sock should be at least top 5. He has all the characteristics Monfils has; speed, flexibility, no stamina, passing out after two hours of a match. Djokovic and Nadal easily takes first and second while Dimitrov has an easy third. Tsonga and Sampras are great athletes but nowhere near top ten in tennis history. Murray in ninth is a mistake. He could run, semi-agile, and has the endurance to run long matches and still (somewhat) retain the quality. Obviously with terms like "best" there will always be differentiated opinions as the word best is a subjective term and therefore, debate will occur. If you use logic to make a list however, Monfils arguably shouldn't be in this list at all. For anyone who care to disagree with me please go read the definition of 'athleticism' then come back and run your mouth about how I'm an idiot and know nothing about tennis. I expect many replies from children about nine years old.

I really can't choose which player should be higher on the list, Nadal or Nole... I think those guys are so different but in this context (athleticism) the same... They can catch the impossible balls, last longer than anyone else without losing intensity. Nadals intense fighting spirit, Nole doing the splits on the court, both running for each ball, just insane. Their rivalry is the best in my opinion. Each game is a delight. I honestly hope to see more of them competing against each other.

If you look at speed, strength, agility, hand-eye, leaping ability (and not racquet skills, per se) my list would include these player in no particular order : Federer - Fed is never underrated, except possibly as a "jock". Fast, quick, great agility, can get up easily from both sides for overheads, does tweeners, etc. Nadal - Pure speed and power that jumps off the screen. Agile, good hops and a underrated touch. Djokovic - Speed, agility, conditioning and flexibility,he is the plastic man. You don't really see as many highlight-level pure athletic shots, perhaps, as we do with Roger and Rafa, but that's partly due to his exceptional balance and anticipation. Sampras - Very fluid mover, and powerful, and had great hops. Perhaps, not as agile as The Big 3 as to change of directions, etc. Borg - Strong, fast and perhaps, the best-conditioned of all. Lendl - He moved well for a big guy and was strong with great conditioning and court coverage. Yannick Noah - Speedy, athletic, strong and great hands. Dustin Brown - Athletic, best diver along with Becker, magic hand and awesome cordination. Mecir - The big cat! He moves like a cat in the jungle and made everything so effortless with his sharp tennis IQ, a pure genius.

Bill Turner Stamina is important. Even if Monfils is faster in a dead sprint and can jump higher than Nadal or Djokovic, it means nothing when they can play back to back 5 set matches with no trouble and he’s gassed by the 3rd set of some random match.

Very solid list overall because all of these guys are beasts, but overlooking Fed was a mistake. Actually, I see Roger as Top 3, so there's no way that Ferrer, Tsonga or Baby Fed could make it in before him. Sampras is the one old-school guy who definitely deserves a spot on an "all-time" list, so kudos for adding him. Lastly, Djoker should be No.1 for sure though, and I'm not one of his fans by the way, but I'll give him his due.

Roger Federer is one the best athletes ever to play tennis and to me it’s totally wrong that he is not in this list. However, I understand why. What is shown here is mostly retrieving abilities and Roger is more about attack, pace and efficiency. But to be able to play the way he has been doing in his late 30’s you have to be an exceptional athlete and to me he is probably the fastest player ever in his first “attacking reaction step”. He is so incredibly fast to put an opponent under pressure. That said, Rafa and Novak are overall superior but in terms of pace over their careers I believe Roger is. Should definitely be in this list.

No Fed is surprising. He played 5 hours in the Wimbledon final last year & still looked fresh in the post-match interviews, at an age most players have been retired for over half a decade. If that’s not fitness Idk what is. Has anyone actually ever seen Fed panting/trying to catch his breath? Weird choice not to include him.
