The slappy from the tv show is based on mr woods who was the villain of night of the living dummy 1 but slappy got more popular so they named him slappy so what you meant to say was slappy looks scarier then mr wood

I think the original evil doll "Talking Tina" is the most creepiest of them all. Many evil dolls in TV, movies and formats are based on it.

They shoulda showed Emelia's teeth after the Zuni doll took over her soul. She had the same sharp teeth, she was actually more scary looking than the doll!!!

Great call on the Night Gallery Doll. I saw that episode and the Zuni Doll segment from Trilogy of Terrors when they both first aired back in the 70’s as a kid and I never forgot them. Great episode and one of the reasons why I have a love of Horror anthologies.

Slappy is one of my favorite scary figures in the Goosebumps tv series, hell sometimes i even picture what it would be like if Slappy teamed up with Chucky from Child's Play.

The Zuni really scared me. I was in high school when I first watched it. I’m was so disappointed when the woman turned evil. She fought so hard.

The Zuni doll.... My father let my sister and I watch Trilogy of Terror on TV when it first came out(1975). So I was 8, and my sister was 5. I was OK, because I loved and still do love, horror movies. My sister, in the other hand, had nightmares for days

One great TV doll that I never hear people talk about is Buddy from the show 'The Nightmare Room'. I think he was in the episode is called 'scareful what you wish for'. It starred the Sprouse twins and Shia labouf

Talky Tina is voiced by the same actress who recorded the phrases for the real Chatty Cathy dolls, which nade the episode even more terrifying for viewers at the time

That Night Gallery episode STILL scares me, decades later! I used to say it looked like a Baby Jane doll from Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. Not so sure about that now, but that smile still terrifies me! FYI The nanny in that episode was played by Shani Wallis, who you might remember as Nancy in the musical OLIVER.

Just as a point of clarification, that ventriloquist’s dummy in the Twilight Zone was first used in the third season episode “The Dummy”, with the dummy’s name being Willie, and the ventriloquist played by Cliff Robertson. The same dummy was reused in the fifth season episode “Caesar and Me”, with the dummy’s name being Caesar and the ventriloquist played by Jackie Cooper. Of the two, I personally think Willie is scarier than Caesar.

Slappy’ has a striking resemblance to his older brother “Fats”, who co-stared with Anthony Hopkins in the 1978 movie “Magic”. Sounds just like him! 😄

The Twilight Zone also had 2 episodes with ventriloquist dummies that should have been included. But Talky Tina is the original "Chucky".

There was that one episode of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour "Where the Woodbine Twineth" that featured a creepy doll. Also that one Twilight Zone episode with the ventriloquist dummy, It encouraged a little girl to murder her aunt with poison darts.

not sure the crimson clown counts as evil as he only goes after bad kids, but if they generally retreat the bad things they did and all lets them be and gives them a second chance but only if they prove themselves and more of a Necessary Evil and a Villains by Proxy
