Jurassic Park should have definitely been on this list. It was the first time there was lifelike CGI of organic beings, and it held up alongside live-action as believable.

The fact that the crew placed these artful jokes for future consumption by the viewer when they were older is one of the many reasons why Toy Story strikes such nostalgia. Adult themes give children's movies a way to connect with kids later in life and the Toy Story franchise does this well.🥰🥰🥰✌✌✌

"Spirited Away": The first Japanese Anime to win Best Animated Feature at the Oscars. "Gone In 60 Seconds" (the original): Changing the face of car chases. "Sharky's Machine": Stunt man Dar Robinson, doubling for Henry Silva at the end of the film, dropped 220 feet, setting a record for the highest wireless free fall jump from a building in a film, changing movie stunts.

Mary Poppins and Three Caballeros both looked amazing for their time. Poppins won the Oscar for visual effects, and Caballeros should have at least been nominated but they may have not considered animation effects in 1945.

A new hope was more than just the first start film in Star Wars, it began the age of visual and special effects, changed the way movies were made forever.

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind: Led to the creation of Studio Ghibli and influenced the development of anime. Also, Miyazaki's films were a major influence on the Disney Renaissance Gone with the Wind: First swear word ever said in a movie

Bullet time was actually introduced first in the Movie "Blade", it was only two bullets but thats were it came from. The Matrix just did it a thousand times better. ..im so happy they did.

Mr. Decency, Psycho is on of my all time favorites. Oddly though the older I get the more disturbing it gets for me. The whole scene in Norman’s office with Marion Crain is so profoundly unsettling Listening to the both of them having a civilized conversation and knowing that moments later this same person is going to butcher her. It’s just horrible. I get sick to my stomach.

I would of thought the invention of the motion picture it's self would be the most important piece of history, where objects actually move and don't require lots of sheets of paper to produce an moving image, otherwise things like video on demand wouldn't exist!!

Psycho was important for the fact that it signified the end of the Hays Code, and the end of censoring themes that were considered taboo.

I saw 'La belle et la bête' by Jean Cocteau, when I was 5, so haunting and beautiful! Also, 'The day the earth stood still' (both versions), 'Forbidden Planet' and 'La planète Sauvage'!These are some of my cult films.

The most important impact of Star wars was not the birth of a franchise, but the discovery of the importance of merchandise. George Lucas saw what the studio did not, and the world of film would never be the same. Also deserves more than an honorable mention for that part.

The Story of the Kelly Gang (Made in & around Melbourne, Australia, released in1906) should be on this list as it’s the world’s first ever narrative feature-length film. It had a runtime of 60 minutes (1200 metres in reel length), but currently, only 17 minutes of the film are known to have survived.

10:14 not really, the first long featured animated movie was the argentinian film "El Apostol" from 1917, and the same guy behind that movie released another movie 1919, both way before Snow White, that being said, Snow White is the first colour animated film, and the first to receive a wild international distribution, so its still is historic.

PSYCHO wasn't the first early killing-off of such a star: Marilyn Monroe in NIAGARA and, to some extent Joan Bennett in MAN HUNT (she wasn't the lead, but not the sort of character to be casually killed); Monster as protagonist in M; Missed out a lot of stuff (largely outside the English language): Exchange of close-ups in conversation in THE PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC; flashback based on what the character is thinking in HIROSHIMA MON AMOUR; slow motion violence in SEVEN SAMURAI

now add Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame for having an stadium-audienced movie theatre, and Spiderman: No Way Home for being a three-generational superhero movie, topped highest grossing film in a pandemic-era, and having a stadium-audienced movie theatre. Marvel Cinematic Universe is the only franchise that save some of the movie theatres from bankruptcy in pandemic (i remember when Spiderman:NWH premieres, dozens of people flock even in a high quarantine status). Agree or not, MCU helped the cinema, and paved the way for old actors to starred again.

Brando) and one of the best directors ever ( Coppola) and a lot of amazing actors like John casale and a great story Show how the new history of America was established by the Sicilian mafia, casinos and betting, not to mention the filming, which was premature because you can not find another movie in that period with that technology but the Godfather, an overrated film so it remains the greatest movie in cinema history and the greatest trilogy ever

Some of these delivered on the promise made by films previously. Toy Story is easy, but that promise of CGI was made in The Great Mouse Detective, The Rescuers Down Under and The Little Mermaid. Gollum was eye catching, but that ground was broken with Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I'd have add Raiders of the Lost Ark for breaking the MPAA. Forcing the creation of PG-13. It really changed the ground game in what could be made.

What do I think is the most important movie moment? Probably Star Wars, because that first movie redefined all of show *BUSINESS* from that moment on. It also feels like Night of the Living Dead should be on here. Not just for the current zombie craze, but, as John Carpenter put it, "Every independent film owes part of its existence to Night of the Living Dead."

I think either the T-1000 from T2 or else the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park should been on this list. CGI has changed movie making and those films were pioneers.

The Trip To The Moon was based on H.G. Wells' First Men In The Moon. Jules Verne had a great story called From The Earth To The Moon which told of man's need for oxygen, weightlessness, and when the bullet shaped craft gets stuck in the moon's orbit, retro rockets are used to break orbit so they fall back to Earth. All this we would find out over 70 years later was true. Jules Verne lived in the 19th Century. But he foresaw the future incredibly accurate.

The mind blowing thing was introducing my kid to early photography and film was when they asked me if the world didn't have colour back then... Well kid, in some spectrums, some things were always black and white and in the rest of the world it was full of colour. That aside, it did take them a while to understand that animations like scooby doo wasn't irl. Really interesting to see how the new generations perceive things without context.
