His Dad’s passing was incredibly sad, but the game after clinching the NBA title in 1996, as he sobbed on the floor, was the saddest scene man. How heartbreaking.

There has to be a price to pay if you're going to make millions. You can't have it both ways. If you don't want to be in the spotlight then do a hard job that no one cares about, but then you don't get millions.

A few things inn no particular order that I found shocking: - The color of Michael Jordan's eyes in the interviews. It's a bit concerning. - The audio of MJ crying in the locker room after beating the Sonics. Seen the footage hundreds of times but there was never any audio to it... until the doc. Hearing him sobbing was heartbreaking. - Pippen saying he would quit on the team again if he could do things over. Wow.

When MJ broke down at 7:10, it ain't about the 'passion for the sport'... His attitude of winning broke friendships and family. *Winning comes with a price* As a human being, he's a rare personality. And for him to accomplish what he did against his idols just shows he is the GOAT.

For me, personally, the most shocking part was the reminder of how great and magical Michael Jordan and the entire Bulls team made my childhood. They were a huge inspiration. I had forgotten and it was a bitter sweet reminder.

I like how Malone and Stockton where the ultimate professional athletes and we're there waiting for Mike after the games to congratulate him..like it was just expected of them something that had to be done...that's respect..never liked malone after the story about deserting his daughter but after I saw the last dance my respect for that man has come back..

People that competitive in this DNA when we have players loving each other,being super friends, doing the WOOWW Banana boat,vacation together frieeeeend! type of soft stuff. The low amount of players with the same drive and competition like that is just shocking.

I’ve followed the NBA very closely and have heard most if not all of the stories shown in The Last Dance in some form or another over the years. I’ve seen the picture of him clutching onto the basketball in the locker room so many times, but hearing him balling out was tough and very heartfelt

I think MJ holding back tears there was about regret. Regret that he took it too far at times and broke people down when he didn’t need to. He says he did it all for his teammates but I’m calling slight bullshit on that one. Yea he wanted his teammates to do as well as they could to win, but you can’t tell me he didn’t enjoy doing it. Or that he didn’t get a “high” off of putting others down. Maybe I’d believe him if he had a kind reputation off the court but he seemed just as much of a bully whether it be practice, a game, or off the court.

Joe Were From what I got from the documentary Jerry Reinsdorf offered him a one year coaching contract, but Jerry Krause was set on rebuilding after the ‘98 championship regardless, so Phil declined as he didn’t want to coach a bad team. I think Krause was also quoted in the series saying he’d love to bring Jordan back if he could but the offer wasn’t extended to the rest of the team

Reinsdorf didn't want to offer multiple years contract to a 72-10 win coach. Krause was just doing owner's bidding, lowballing Phil, and then Reinsdorf offered 1 year contract. It just didn't work this time.

I “attended” a global resilience summit a couple weeks ago and one of the featured people was George Mumford, who was the mindfulness coach for Phil Jackson and later Jackson and the Lakers. He was actually close with Kobe as well. And shared how he was saddened by his death and he flies in helicopters as well so he has that fear. But yeah he came in, pretty much right after Jorden’s father died and he retired, and how much of a chaotic season that was and how he helped introduce mindedness to the team as a way of dealing with it.

If all of the details from each guy were different then THAT would mean that someone is likely making it up and it’s not true. Why do you think police separate suspects and coconspirators when they interrogate them? It’s to see if the details of their stories and alibis match thus making it more likely to be true. No offense, but you would make a horrible detective.

I agree with the number one. I follow about a dozen NBA youtube channels and naturally they post A LOT of stuff about Michael Jordan. While there was TONS of stuff in this series I'd never seen or heard of, what amazed me the most was all of the "took it personal" moments. I'd heard numerous stories about him reacting to trash talk, but never the ones where he'd go off on someone for something like "Oh Jerry Krause likes this guy? That's all I need!" or someone not saying hello to him. The man was truly a mastermind at getting himself gassed up and using anything he could find to motivate himself and get the most out of himself.
