As a Logano fan, this is the first time I've ever heard anyone refer to Logano as underrated. That said, I heavily agree and that he doesn't get enough acknowledgement. Yes, his driving style is questionable at times and I won't deny that, but you can't let that draw you away from the fact that he is a very accomplished driver and can be a Championship threat for the most part.

I'd have two different lists for me. One for the driver and one for the team. As a driver may be very talented, yet be held back by his equipment, so could good equipment make up to a degree a less talented driver. Therefore, my Driver's Ranking is based on who I think is the most talented in Cup alone (not necessarily at all motorsports), and my Team's Ranking is based on how strong I think a driver's team is. For some, the team holds the driver back (consider Logano this year), so it'll be ranked accordingly. Some drivers may be a great driver but makes too many mistakes (consider Larson and Kyle Busch, who seem to spin or hit the wall too often on their own), that hurts them in my rankings. Anyway, it's all subjective as NASCAR racing has always been a balance between a driver's ability and their team's ability. Drivers on Talent 10. Ty Gibbs 9. Tyler Reddick 8. Kevin Harvick 7. Chase Elliott 6. Kyle Busch 5. Denny Hamlin 4. Christopher Bell 3. Kyle Larson 2. William Byron 1. Joey Logano Driver's Team Ranking 10. Martin Truex Jr. 9. Joey Logano 8. Kyle Busch 7. wow. The Chase fandom really comes out. The guys hasn't won a traditional oval race in over an year (nashville 2022), has been disappointing at best at his supposed signature event the road course, and generally has not been the same since NASCAR clawed Hendrick's technical advantage with the NextGen. Yeah yeah yeah, he made it to the championship 4 last year, but you have Blaney and Logano out of the top 5 and they have both done that. 9th place at best for Chase.

I don’t like this list at all, actually. First off, the list is called the best drivers right now, yet you give us stats and facts going way back into the early to mid 2010s. Is this a list of best drivers all time or is it just ranking them based on now? Also, having Ryan Blaney not even in the top 5 is kind of insulting. Especially when he’s below guys who had a terrible playoffs like Logano, Busch, and MTJ. I also have a huge problem with Elliott even being mentioned as well. Yes he missed multiple races and still came close, but close shouldn’t matter when you are in a Hendrick car and you have a dozen chances to win a race. If you’re truly the third best driver, you win one of those races. If you left Bowman off the list, then you should’ve also left Chase out as well. Here’s my list for the best drivers RIGHT NOW: 1. Larson 2. Byron 3. Blaney 4. Bell 5. Hamlin 6. Buescher 7. Chastain 8. Reddick 9. Truex 10. Busch Honorable mentions -Bubba Wallace -Brad Keselowski

I hate to say this about my guy, but Kyle Busch is on the downside of his career...i think he still has alot left, especially if that rcr equipment catches up to him, but i don't think he can consistently elevate it like he could have in the mid to late 2010s However, you're list is pretty much spot on

It's time to kill the narrative that Denny Hamlin's personality is why everyone hates him. Hamlin does not have his own personality; he's trying to be the new Kyle Busch - the give-no-fucks, brash character who does what he wants - but lacks Busch's wittiness, ruthlessness, and sheer driving talent. "I beat your favorite driver" was not the own NASCAR's marketing department seems to think it is. Years of losing championships and his rivalry with Ross Chastain have done great damage to his ego. He's mentally weak and he's running out of time, so he tries so damn hard to compensate by being someone he can't be. Denny Hamlin will never be Kyle Busch and he will never be a champion.

If you look at Byron's wins, the only one he won without help was Watkins Glen. Atlanta he had rain and it's already an "anybody can win" sort of race. The other four came as "right place, right time" sort of deals. At Darlington and Texas, Larson crashed out, but was clearly the dominate car and driver. At both Vegas and Phoenix, late cautions gave Byron a chance that he wouldn't have had otherwise. For me to see someone having "breakout year," they need to go out and lead a bunch of laps in the races they eventually win, not have it seem more like a matter of good fortune at someone else's misfortune. I'm not saying he didn't take advantage of those opportunities, I'm just saying I want to see him get wins without that sort of help. I want him to go out and win like Chastain did at Phoenix, like Larson usually does in his race wins, like Truex, Hamlin and even Blaney at Martinsville or the 600. I have to see him do that more before I call any season "breakout" for him.

Do you not remember Martinsville spring race 2022? Or the Atlanta race that year as well? Also I feel like the argument doesn’t hold too much weight because you can make it the other way as well, like Richmond he dominated and was in position to win but late race caution and got spun. Or Dover, he also led a bunch of laps. I still think Byron is one or two seasons from truly breaking out, but he still led just about as many laps as Larson. And people forget that at Atlanta this year he spun out and drove up to the lead after a strategy call, then held on to it. How is that a fluke? Everyone knew rain was coming

Oh my god I disagreed with your 10 and agreed with Blaney at 9.. putting Kyle Busch at 8 is such a massive insult to him that I had to write this comment. He is a top 3 guy on the grid, period. On any track. On any day. He can win anywhere and has won at almost every track. Then you put Joey at 7 while I was typing this and it just blew my mind. They are the *only* two multiple champs on the grid. This is top 10 DRIVERS. Not top 10 guys who have great equipment. I am literally a Chase fan and he is not top 3. It’s ridiculous to even think that.. he’s on like a 50 race winless streak.. The number of non-road races he has dominated I can count on one hand. Top 3 guys who can win anywhere on any Sunday: Larson, Busch, Logano… Denny would be my 4 and after that it’s just a mess. Watching this makes me regret not making nascar content a decade ago because I can’t even fathom how someone so wrong can have this many views.
