Interesting theme for the list and probably my favourite genre of fragrance. Perhaps a bit on the nose but Chanel pour Monsieur EDP from the last 10 years is fantastic

I have been rocking Shalimar EdP this summer on the cooler evenings. This is classic in a bottle. People are floored when I tell them it's officially a "women's perfume."

Good contrast with the season. Tried Shalimar a few times in the heat myself and it does work really well. It's totally does not smell like today's women's perfumes

I would add to these Jovoy Private Label. Not a traditional scent in the sens that it's not cologne-y or barbershop-y, but it celebrates unapologetic masculinity with its intoxicating earth tones of vetiver and patchouli. And it is a performance beast on me, even surviving dry cleaning on my cashmere sweaters.

Good one.. I haven't smelled it in some time but remember the vetiver smelling impressive. It was indeed a big fragrance.

Yes, I agree, it's a great theme. For me- Terre d'Hermes is #1 for Neo Classical. After smelling hundreds of fragrances, I always think 'retro' when I smell it, which is a good thing. It just doesn't smell modern, yet it is. JCE is brilliant.

I'm choosing 31 Rue Cambon from that list. Scent Of The Day was : Hermès - Voyage d' Hermès, edt. Music Of The Day : Carl Maria von Weber - Der Freischütz Merci beacoup, mondieur Brodeep !

Hello Uncle Bob, that's just a small corner table in my bedroom where I keep keys, change and fragrances I am using at the moment. I just move it toward the window light for videos. I am yet to reach a point where I need to seek space at the Kitchen 😄

A reviewer commented that Chanel Comete is in the line / similar to Guerlain Apres l'Ondee and the Cartier Heure Promise (assuming you have this one). Your thoughts, please? Thanks.

Yes, I also found a nod to Après L'Ondee as I mentioned in my Impressions Video and in my full review of Comète because of the almond/heliotrope note but the overall smell is different. I have never smelled the Cartier so no idea. Hope that helps

@@ScentZatura The juice color of 31 Rue Cambon has turned darker, must be from some time ago. (IT is a nice frag, though !) Would you think the Guerlain Après L'Ondee smells more chemical or synthetic? The Caron Yatagan smells like the long-discontinued Nina Ricci Phileas (much preferred by me) [if you are familiar with Phileas] and "may" still find the 10 ml size over there. Wish the company would bring back the late 80s gem. :) Thank you, Sir.

Yes, The 31 RC has turned colorwise. I don't find Après L'Ondee synthetic, atleast my old bottle. It just smells like it uses materials from a different time. I have never smelled that Nina Ricci. Will try to find a sample. Thank you...
