Cant believe it took all these years for snake eye ring to receive the speedy proc and to make every class which doesnt have a speedy ability or 60+ speed playable. Truly crazy

i dont think you see it like a new player would. if all your chars die cause you try to learn a endgame dungeon and you finally get your first endgame white you want it to be op. you will lose it anyways in some days but its really rewarding to get something op from a dungeon you try since weeks and you die 50+ times just to get to the endboss :D

You are right man i dont have the time to play like this guy does and nowhere near as good as to be able to get theses kind of items easily . That’s why devs should never listen to the top 1% of players to steer their games. He has some points about those wierd ST items that no one likes being op and easy to get but items in the shatts or oryx 3 should be very strong at least.

The only item in realm that I think is over polished is fury flail, every other item is balanced by how hard it is to get those items. Plus we the players deserve actually good gear, not mediocre garbage.

something seb didn't mention about the turret is that it does have a cooldown so for burst damage void quiv is still better if you have a full mana bar to dump before an invuln phase

Yeah, if we say the power creep is inevitable and stop arguing about it, turret at least partially nerfs the necessity of a top pet, so i guess devs in the newest updates are trying to make that big jump in the power creep to kind of nerf pets without nerfing them directly. Newest classes being summoner and kensei also fits that narrative as they are both not exactly about smashing your spacebar to dump your mana. Maybe they even were thinking about the same when releasing the flail too, as increasing AD makes spamming ability relatively weaker. I can't get why they also decided to make those so much accessable with the ST forge though.

You did what you could ROTMG feels like looking at the finest pile of clay ever conceived, a great structure/plan for the final product (Infinite cash generating addictive MMO Roguelite); so many fantastic gamecrafters get onboard and hands on to create this beautiful experience and BOOM! I feel like it’s fine having items from shatters and umi being op as it’s an end game item you need to grind for that beats out other things. Maybe it shouldn’t beat them out by such a massive margin but they should be the best items in the game. I also think event whites really shouldn’t be so easily craftable or craftable at all. Part of the fun with event whites was that they were so rare it was amazing getting one of them before crafting.

The poison stuff seems like it may have been recorded some time ago. No mention of the damage boost mechanic which is polarity's biggest weakness as a poison and the description screenshots are outdated too, makes me think he recorded this part before the change took place. (This was basically a nerf to polarity poison)

Idk, polarity is still better than other poisons usually. The damage is +2k more and slows, so that's still better than the damage boost. You can use any damage boosting poison and then swap to polarity if you got a credit card divine pet.

@@Zombarakh the damage boost on t7 also scales with wis and is 4% more than polarity. both of murky's poisons have their own boost scaling of att and dex each totalling to 27% with a best in slot set (compared to polariy's 10%), even if you took murky without any scaling, it has a better damage boost than polarity does with a complete max wis set. polarity has its place as a utility poison but its absolutely not overpowered or anywhere near a title of "best poison"

@Zombarakh to reply to your edited comment. Murky lasts 3 seconds and costs 120 mp, and so does polarity. It doesn't matter how strong your pet is trying to swap murky and polarity is very hard to keep up especially if ur in combat. You would have to use gemstone to do this which is viable, but not better than just only using murky and running a crown. Polarity is a great swap out for its slows but that's the only reason you'd do that, and with how many items are in the same boat as a "a slow swapout" it doesn't make polarity nearly anywhere near OP.

I think the big problem is all the power creep that has gone on. It feels like every number whether it be stats, hp, damage, enemy damage, enemy hp, etc all needs to not have so much distance between them on a spectrum while also being better blended together. I mean, you wouldn't need +60HP heavy armors if you weren't taking 300 damage shots. I'm surprised you mentioned the archer Sentry Gun (quiver) and didn't mention the flail aspect. Someone posted months ago doing something like 50,000 damage on one of the guild dummies using it.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but probably, and sorry if people have already told you, but the first part of kagenohikari is pronounced "kah-gey," the japanese word for shadow. The whole name translates to shadow light or shadow lantern, which fits its description pretty well! Super helpful vids as usual

I think pyro sheath is underrated. It shoots 6600 damage worth of shots in a straight line while having a negligible dash distance only for 100 mana. Imo best sheath for enemies that are too dangerous to dash through.

The dash is still very, very annoying on pyro. The delayed shot makes it extremely hard to hit moving targets. If a target doesn't move, you might as well use the better cavern sheath.

I think one Ability I would choose would be Planewalker. You are essentially fusing 2 different clases into 1, gives you less of a reason to play Trickster besides the slightly more damage and decoy, which for most new players would be hard to learn, you get a free escape rather than the chance of the Decoy getting nearby you by accident and it comes from one of the easiest dungeon in the game. Also on that topic. Cuband. The Cuband supremacy is hilarious because it is essentially free extra healing that's worth more than other rings, comes from Sprite World and is like Snake Eye, just a swap-out

To me it doesnt come off as much that the balance is off, as the balance of forge is off. your issues with items like oreo would (in my opinion) not apply if you couldnt forge it. But now that you can, its overpowered purely because of its accessability. I think deca just needs to rethink the forge when it comes to event whites. It makes no sense why i should be able to craft a jugg when i havent ever gotten one dropped.

There was actually a design trend over time of noting how little ability damage mattered (even with divine pets) compared to weapon damage, so a lot of pure damage abilities have trended up in power. Having said that escu and the turret definitely take that too far. For items on your list (ignoring fury flail) that i think are actually the most broken, I would have to say Oreo. I've played other games with similar effects (like 2 seconds invuln) on 15 second cooldowns and they still feel extremely strong when used there, oreo just not having a CD is insane.

If Oreo ever gets nerfed I'd uninstall on the spot. With as hard as it is to get (literally spent years to get one). Yes I get the bp makes it easier, but bruh feels like this game is already miserable, stop nerfing anything good.

I feel like Snake eye ring is pretty arguable on this list, it may benefit you a lot if you aren't a speedy class, but pretend you are running a cultist hideout, there will probably be someone rushing the dungeon for you in most runs, same thing as shatters in most discords runs. What i mean is, it is only really that useful in certain circumstances, for example if YOU want to rush, or if you are in early game and don't have enough speed to escape certain attacks, but overall, you don't really use it much oftenly. So i would say it is more close to being balanced, than op

Honestly I'm chill with most of these items, most are endgame items that is super hard to get, if they weren't fantastic then they wouldn't be worth farming for. Turret and flail seem too good for how easy they are to get though.

Im curious as to why nerfs in a game like this would ever be good. I understand you play it a ton and are insane at it, but the majority of casual players would want these items to be op so they have something fun and exciting to look forward to using. Theres no pvp or anything and the other items are still viable to use in clearing the games content

OKAY so for the most part i don''t have problems with the list, I know that fool's prism is a troll entry but i unironically agree with your reasoning and honestly it deserves to be 0th on the list for how absolutely game changing and broken it is (for the playerbase's mental health), BUT i do have acouple concerns, I think polarity poison and visage aren't good enough to make this list when compared to some absolutely BONKERS abilities other classes have, How the hell are you gonna make a top 10 op items list and NOT include scepter of rust/t7 scepter?, Or peacekeeper?,, or the shatters ST robe that gives 100 MP every 5 seconds (basically a required item if you want to do true umi consistently), Otherwise i think its a good list keep it up!

Isnt the point of t7/rust is to sacrifice DPS stats for wis gear? If you want DMG on sorc you go for deva and DPS set and if you want clear you go t7/rust with gem and ritual

@@zenooz548 Eh honestly i guess that's fair, But even without a set built around it the scepter of rust just does SO much damage and its incredibly cheap too, It's really busted for clearing enemies and the 10% damage reduction on enemy bullets is not negligible, But as a standalone busted item i guess there are better cause sorcerer is set reliant

I think a good way to nerf items like snake eye ring and cuirass is to make the cooldown go slower while you don't have it equipped, so you can't use it as a swapout as easily. Also it would thematically make sense for oreo to curse you on use, so even if you avoid a lot of damage you are placing more risk on yourself.

Good idea, but cuirass's stats weigh it down. Snake eye's terrible fame bonus and requirement to not be silenced, unstable, or quieted weigh it down already. I still agree they are sort of OP but they feel annoying to use in many dungeons.

Mighty stein has better aoe but if you know how to aim a poison perfectly in front of a moving enemy, polarity is the winner.

if you miss just two or three daggershots because you were leading your aim to hit polarity it loses. mighty stein is simply better dps that you dont have to adjust your aim for so its always usable@@Zombarakh

Assasin doesn't suck, it's just a middle of the pack class. Better and worse than half of the classes imo.
