Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf was essentially shadow banned from the NBA for refusing to stand for the national anthem in the 90s. He was one of the greatest shooters in NBA history but is often forgotten because of this controversy.

If we’re keepin it 100, Enes Kanter was a starter on the Celtics, started talking about China, China refused to broadcast Celtics games, the NBA lost hella revenue and no one will touch him now. Blackballed hard lol

@@mandrooz his play declined for sure, but he still has value to bring to a roster. But if his presence on the court means no Chinese revenue, no one will touch him. If you don’t think that’s a major factor in him not playing, you’re not paying attention.

While that definitely plays a part, he’s an all time bad defender in the pick and roll for any player who plays high level minutes and that’s 65 percent of offense now.

We have different definitions of blacklisted. Banned and blacklisted aren't the same to me, blacklisted connotes unofficial conspiring to keep someone out.

@@jimbo9208 No it doesn't, being banned is basically an execute decision to where someone can never (In this instance) play in the NBA again. Whereas blacklisted means no one chooses to hire you.

@@jimbo9208 no, the OP is right. Banned is you OFFICIALLY and usually PUBLICLY have been told you can never play in the league again. Blacklisted is where the league has never removed you officially. But no one wants to hire you because you are viewed as some type of determent. See Kaepernick of the NFL. The NFL never banned him. But most teams rather avoid any baggage he might bring and won't give him a chance at employment.

the kanter one is sad the dude spoke out against the Turkish government and China's treatment against uyugur Muslims and the Turkish government put a bounty on his head and he wasn't allowed to travel outside of the USA and as of the issue with China they didn't want nothing to do with the league cause of what he was standing with

Make a video about zach randolf and quintell woods, they were fiighting pitbulls, smoking weed. All on video at my grandmas house. It was when they both played for portland. It should all be brought to the public. They promised us 6 figures to keep quiet. He got traded from portland soon after and got a huge contract. Never heard from him again.
