A country may not be rich but it need all the basic necessities. 1. Clean water 2. Electricity 3. Proper medical care 4. All weather roads and good transport system. 5. Enough schools, colleges and universities 6. Trained teachers, medical personnel, security personnel and good politicians 7. Non corrupted enforcement system 8. Proper toilet and sewage treatment 9. Freedom to run businesses 10. Freedom of speech and religion Unfortunately 90% of people who live in the countries earn less than 1 dollar a day and walk miles to reach the nearest school or hospital. Many do not have access to clean water.

You cannot say that you're happy poor because poverty bites and the poor are always despised in general. Lack of oneness, determination, selfishness and corruption of the leaders and the local people in their respective countries has lead to this. Poor people will not be able to afford a healthy diet leading to malnutrition, they cannot afford proper medical facilities leading to high mortality rate, they will have poor education facility leading to poor quality of life and a vicious circle of poverty, violence and thuggery will prevail in large numbers as the order of the day. For example in Chicago and south Africa where the blacks reside in poverty, there is high prevalence of crime rate, people shooting and killing each other just because they cannot afford the basics. There is no integrity or value of fellow human beings but a total disregard of others and promoting egocentricity. Notwithstanding, some countries and communities have come to terms with such issues and have learnt to leave together in harmony irrespective of poverty.
