Still Breathing with Brendan Fraser. The cinematography is so beautiful and Brendon Fraser’s character has such a cool personality. It is so romantic. Only thing I wasn’t greatly fond of was he did it coming off the George of the Jungle movie. He still had that overly muscular build. I like him better as his Teddy Bear self with his real hair color. It’s all in his eyes and smile, what more could you want?❤️

I absolutely adore Decoy Bride! The chemistry between David Tennant and Kelly MacDonald is incredible, and I really love the fact that there isn't truly a "bad guy".

Oh what about Blast from the Past? It’s this romantic comedy with Brendan Fraser and Alicia Silverstone. It’s so cute and I barely hear it mentioned anywhere.

I’ve always been obsessed with just wright. When i say common and queen latifah gave me so much life. Still 1 of my favorite rom coms to ever be created. I watch it faithfully.

Austenland is so sweet & I watched it twice in one weekend. About time was so good & to me, heartbreaking. I won’t watch it again, but don’t regret it AT ALL.

Austenland is one of my faves and I totally agree an underrated gem. Always hard to say something is unheard of - some of the suggestions ppl are throwing out seemed quite popular to me - but I am going to assert Austenland def falls into this category. I also love that it featured Bret McKenzie from FoTC :)

Back when we had a video store, the owner and I would laugh about how we were the only people who watched them-and multiple times, too. One of my all time favorite movie quotes is “I have five sons. Only You was always one of my favs. Robert Downey Jr. and Marisa Tomei had insane chemistry in that one. There's also a cute one with Chris Evans and Anna Faris called What's Your Number. Edit: just thought of one more... Leap Year with Amy Adams and Matthew Goode.

I like the Last Holiday with Queen Latifah and LL Cool J better than Just Wright. I also love the message in the movie. It motivates me to quit my toxic job and live my life.

I agree! "Just Wright" was objectively terrible and horribly lacking in chemistry. Ms. Mojo says "slow burn" but no, non-existent is more like it.

I loved Juliet,Naked. Ethan Hawke, Rose Byrne played prospective lovers well. I also love Catch & Release with Jennifer Garner and Timothy Olyphant. They had great chemistry onscreen.

I saw Paperback Hero a few years ago. It was good. Kate & Leopold is criminally underrated. No one even mentions it. Its like the male version of Enchanted. Another rom com thats actually good is The Decoy Bride. About Operation Delivery Reese Witherspoon would later reunite in How She Knows with Jack Nicolsen and Owen Wilson

Just Wright is one of my all time favourite movies! Awesome chemistry between the actors, subtle comedy, being able to root for the underdog, girl that gets the man without changing who she is - checking all my boxes!

I love that you included "Overnight Delivery" and "Sleeping With Other People". "Jack and Sarah" starring Richard E. Grant and Samantha Mathis (with great supporting performances by Ian McKellen and Judi Dench) is a precious film as well. I wish more people knew it. ❤

If we are talking about Queen Latifah rom coms I think Last Holiday is perfect. My absolute favorite rom com though is The Baxter from 2005 starring Michelle Williams, Michael Showalter, Elizabeth Banks and yes even Paul Rudd. I also really enjoyed The Decoy Bride mostly for the Scottish scenery though. Actually speaking of Scotland, Not Another Happy Ending was very cute. It stars Karen Gillan.

I have watched a few movies in my life WAYYY too many times over. Austinland is one of them. I just kept going back to it. I enjoy period Dramas and I love Pride and Prejudice so this strange take on a love story was straight up my alley. And a side note, Jennifer Coolidge is fantastic in it as well.

I highly recommend Lost in Austen, if you haven't seen it. It's a fun & creative take on the P&P canon, with Elliot Cowan suitably dashing & brooding as Mr Darcy.

Overnight Delivery came at the right time where I had started fawning over Paul Rudd (circa Object of my Affection) and it is something to see and worth another chance where it is funny and charming without going too sappy. but if I may add another underrated rom-com to the mix, I vote for Micki & Maude. after 37 years, it is still criminally underrated...and yet, it makes some form of sense where there are many not who'd sympathize with Dudley Moore playing a bigamist with two expecting wives.

Love this list. Watched most of these on the list. Loved Priceless. One of my favorite romcoms. Still remember the ending scene from it. Not word to word but it was nice. Had finished watching Amelie around the same time too. Same with Austenland. One of my favourited too. Just Wright and Overnight Delivery are darling pair to me. Kinda want to see the first one on the list though. Looks interesting. Hope there is a Part 2 list.

A Life Less Ordinary, Cameron Diaz and Ewan McGregor. It was the first movie I ever saw him in, and I've been in love ever since. Down with Love is his best though.

Austenland was first a book by Shannon Hale. It’s quite different in some ways- they went for more extremes in the film, but I love both. So much love to JJ Field for agreeing to do an Austen spoof.

The Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon movie that I think should be on the list is “How Do You Know” where their two characters meet at the lowest times in their lives, but fall in love anyway. It’s a sweet Rom-Com with a lot of heart and hope.

I've seen Populaire in the cinema, after my final French exam in high school. Really small screen room, and it was the two of us with my friend, almost felt like a private viewing, one of my best cinema experiences. :)

Excellent choices! Heart and Souls doens't get NEARLY enough shout outs. It was a sweet story all around! Robert Downey Jr., Kydra Sedwick, Charles Grobin, Alfre Woodard, Tom Sizemore, and Elizabeth Shue. It was so good!

Back during Covid lockdown in 2020, I discovered a quirky jukebox musical called “Walking on Sunshine“. It’s a British salute to the pop music of the 80s. It was recommended to me after I became a fan of Italian actor Giulio Berruti (from Passionflix’s “Gabriel’s Inferno” adaptation), who has one of the leads in the movie (serious eye candy, ladies). So if you’re a fan of music from the 80s and cheesy goodness set in an Italian beachside setting, along with a bit of angsty romance, check out “Walking on Sunshine“.
