Dragon's Dogma 2 is the first game I've been truly excited about in about 10 years.

Love this list. I'm happy to see stuff like Fera: The Sundered Tribe and No Rest for the Wicked are already on your radar! I'm happy to learn about stuff like Ardenfall and Duel Corps too. Can't wait to see you cover all of these. For me, besides stuff you covered here there's plenty of stuff coming up in 2024 that I'm going to try to play and/or are excited to see more of next year - Eiyuden Chronicles, DecaPolice, Monolith: Requeim of the Ancients, Where Winds Meet, Babylon X, Enshrouded, Visions of Mana, PalWorld (the insane-looking 'Pokemon with Guns') - but my Top 3 would be: *Xbox and Brass Lion's Wu-Tang Clan Action-RPG.* I mean, we know nothing about this officially until it's unveiled, but according to rumors it sounds awesome. Some kind of third person kung-fu action-RPG (a la Jade Empire!? Heck YES) with a somewhat "Into the Spider-Verse"-style aesthetic/animation style and multiplayer co-op? I really want to see this already! It's apparently been in Alpha in 2023 (as in, content complete even if some of the content is still in greybox state, built with placeholders, and loaded with jank). Definitely expecting to see this in 2024. *Spearhead Games' Unforetold: Witchstone Chronicles.* Spearhead is an _insanely_ underrated studio imho. Their last two story-driven games, Omensight and Stories: The Path of the Destiny, are some of the ONLY games I can think of that are legitimately _interactive._ Not sprinkling a few optional choices here or there that can tweak the core narrative a bit or may affect a side-character here or there, but LEGITIMATELY changing where the story will GO in a playthrough. The only way to see everything in those is to just replay them and pick different destinations to head off to. They had well-executed action combat systems that were flashy and fun, and starred anthropomorphic animal characters straight out of a storybook.... well, _Omensight_ was edgier, so it was more like Samurai Jack-meets-Secret of Nimh than storybook *(btw; you absolutely should play Omensight sometime for your, "Played 5 Obscure Action-Adventure-RPGs" series).* So naturally, both games flew under-the-radar. Which is extra weird when you consider that Chris Avellone was one of the lead writers on Omensight! NO OUTLET MENTIONED IT; I didn't know until I beat it and read the credits! Anyway, with Witchstone here, they have dropped the indie, stylized visuals and the charming animal characters for a more traditional CRPG look and more realistic visuals, so _HOPEFULLY_ it will get more people to notice them and their games finally. Because, thankfully, Unforetold: Witchstone Chronicles still has the crazy interactive storytelling systems that only Spearhead Gamse' deals with! _Put this on your radar:_ kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mq92i7dy2ri2e6c.html *CyGames' long-awaited Granblue Fantasy: ReLink.* Been looking forward to this since Platinum Games was working on it, and even after all the development struggles with the transfer over to CyGames' newly-built console development studio, it still looks amazing. Is there footage of the magic system in dragons dogma 2? I am very curious about because it was very good in dd 1 but had only ice, lightning and fire for damage. I like some magic missles or some witchfire or whatever in my rpgs.

Banishers, Black Myth, Flintlock: Siege of Dawn, GreedFall 2, Outcast 2. That's probably my top 5, off the top of my head. The Inquisitor that's coming out in February should be some janky fun (based on the demo), but I'm not sure if that qualifies as an RPG. EDIT: Having played the demo for Morbid: Lords of Ire, that one is up there as well.

There is also gedonia 2 but its likely 2025. Excited because i started gedonia and it wax surprisingly good

Dragon dogma should let play you as dragon (like in divinity game). There is very rare games where you can be dragon or summons dragons . Or riders like "drakan order of the flame"

Black Myth: Wukong is something i will play for sure and i would like to play Rise of the Ronin(but i don't own a PS5 yet so...). Now for Wukong i would not mind using a staff only cuz Wukong without a staff its not him to be fair like a samurai without his katana is not a samurai.

I greatly hope for dragons dogma 2, they change the fact that your stats on level up depend on vocation...because if you play warrior for 50 levels and switch to a wizard, your hp, attack and defense are great but your spell stats are totally crap. Same for wizard. It's permanent too. So if you play wizard for 100 levels and switch to warrior, you have horrible attack and defense...I would like to see that balanced out..

I think Skyrim's one magic spell on one hand, and having to switch is... bad, as someone that grew up playing Phantom Dust. As they showed in Elder Scrolls Online, it's not good enough for actual combat. I think a lot of action RPGs have a lousy magic system.

I loved The Outer Worlds, so I am pretty hype for Avowed :)
