I was placed in Slytherin too by Pottermore. It’s my house and the one I’ve wanted all along😅 I can change the Slytherin’s reputation😉 if they want to know something that is a big secret about the Silver Trio, Golden Trio and others who hates them, they each have been abused or forced to do something that they don’t want to do! Forever a Drarry, Pansmione, Blairon, Scorbus😊 the funny thing is that me and my brother are placed in rivaling houses... I’m a Slytherin my brother’s a gryffindor😅 but we fight a lot so it makes sense😂

Are you guys dumb? He only almost made it into Slytherin because had had a part of Voldemort inside him. But that's not his character, he's brave at heart and is obviously a Gryffindor. He's showed that he's a Gryffindor since the beginning, so I don't understand why this is even a debate.

Fun fact: Tom Felton, who played Draco, is not actually a slytherin. He's a gryffindor. He was pretty sad to get that news. Edit: he is, in fact, as of the date that I am writing, a hufflepuff. Forgive me guys, for misleading you all and spreading outdated news. My apologies.

I found that most of these weren't quite right. Also, the full saying is, "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." Meaning, the loyalty of friendship is a stronger bond than the duty of family. Also, a Slytherin will fake a smile and be polite if it means getting what they want.

I was FORCED to be fake nice to a former coworker of mine and I hated it. Wtf I felt so dirty doing that! The Slytherin in me just felt the need to tell her upfront that's she's a stupid twit, that sucks at listening. But I held my tongue. yep he could of STILL been a griffindor and been mean. It’s not based on their personality it’s based on their aspects, he could’ve been SOOO horrible but also brave, therefore making him griffindor. Slytherins are also not just mean, it never says anywhere that they are, they are ambitious and determined. And it only happens that some of the people in slytherin are mean. As the same as griffindor.

I really wish that Slytherin would stop being typecast as the "Evil House", just because they're ambitious and want to achieve their goals. I know plenty of Slytherins who are hardworking, determined and resourceful, traits synonymous with their house Yet nearly every Slytherin depicted in the franchise are Death Eaters and self serving, with the exception of Slughorn. Slytherins DEFINITELY deserve better reputations!💚🐍

The thing is, there's only one Slytherin I truly dislike, and that's Dolores Umbridge. I actually really like Voldemort's character. He just wants to be the greatest Sorcerer in the world. In fact, I think the Gryffindor house has way more scumbags in it than Slytherin. Out of the Trio, Ron is the only tolerable one, even then he annoys me. Hermione annoys the FUCK outta me! So does Harry, himself. Neville Longbottom is the only Gryffindor I like. I do like Minerva McGonogall, Albus Dumbledore and Rubeus Hagrid, but they're considered faculty. I'm talking about the actual students, and Neville is the only student I can tolerate from Gryffindor House. The Weasley twins are OK. A bit obnoxious at times but more tolerable than the trio. But yeah, Gryffindor isn't the best house. I get tired of people thinking that it is.

You need to understand that there is a huge difference between Slytherins in the story and Slytherins in real life. It’s not the same context. In the story, you cannot divorce Slytherins from the history of its house and the circumstances surrounding when the story is told. The context is that this is a house that’s tainted by pure blood supremacy because of the last war and the influences of certain people within that house and how much family influence can affect children going to school. Slytherins in real life do not have the baggage of in story history, and thus Slytherins in real life can express Slytherin traits to its full potential without it being “evil” Slytherins aren’t typecast as evil because of ambition and wanting to achieve goals, they’re typecast in story due to very specific circumstances and history. You in real life should not be ashamed of being a Slytherin because you are not someone that exists within a story and its set of circumstances and history.

I was placed as a Slytherin from Pottermore and when I figured out I was a Slytherin after doing Pottermore I was like “I’m not surprised” and my classmates wasn’t surprised either. Just because you are a Slytherin doesn’t mean you’re automatically evil. Just because Salazar Slytherin was a pure-blood supremacist doesn’t mean you have to be exactly like him. Sure, there have been multiple people from that house who were totally prejudiced against Muggles and Muggle-Borns, or as they prefer to call them: “Mudbloods”, however, that doesn’t mean all Slytherins act that same way. We must be happy with our own houses and we shouldn’t be enemies with the other houses. While it might be true that most of the Dark Wizards came from that house, with the exception of Wormtail and Quirrel, that doesn’t mean we must be totally against the house as a whole. One example of a Slytherin who was never bad was Horace Slughorn. He’s ambitious, determined, and fights against the Death Eaters at the Battle of Hogwarts. Harry’s son Albus is also a Slytherin. We are not supposed to hate each other just for being in different houses. Let us be happy with our houses and keep having magically wonderful lives.

I used to believe in "Slytherin scum," but a couple friends and this video are helping me to slowly overcome that prejudice. This belief was so pertinent that I honestly would not be surprised if, at some point, there was at least one wave of a Slytherin killing spree.

Sylv The way that Slytherin was portrayed in the books was mostly negative. They were mostly described as bullies, cheaters, prejudiced, and murderous people who abused those whom they considered to be in a lower rank. J.K. even stated that she herself hates Slytherin. That’s why Slytherin is way too over-hated. Slytherin is not supposed to be viewed as “The Evil House”, it’s just too harsh for one of the most well-respected houses at Hogwarts.

People who don't know me says I'm cold hearted, too unapproachable and look intimidating. My family and friends know that I'm loyal to a fault, though. Once you have my loyalty, you don't lose it unless you betray my trust. I'm also quite manipulative but I think that's a trait most of us have, no matter how intentional. I am very intentional in manipulating people and I'm not ashamed to admit it. And yes, I'm a Slytherin. Took the sorting 6 times and the results were always the same. 🤷🏻♀️

That's some voldemort level crazy. Slytherin competitive trait is Snape giving gryffindors detentions during their scheduled practices so Slytherin is better trained, or not awarding house points to anyother house.than Slytherin while taking unjust amount of points form other houses; its Malfoy practicing potions and spells in his home before school starts so he has a leg up in class; its Slughorn giving special treatment to the most accomplished students; basically, its strategic decisions made to guarantee a win in life. The Slytherin way.
