Another honorable mention is Alexey Voevoda. His arm power was similar to prime Denis’s and to current Ermes and Levan’s. Moreover, he hooked and pinned John Brzenk with ease back in the day. His prime form was kind of anticipating today’s monstrous superheavyweights. I honestly don’t know what chemistry he was on, but it must have been something mad!

Yes, of course he’d lose against those three… I was just remembering his gym numbers and concluding that his arm’s strength was otherworldly for the time. Anyway, I think that he’d have reached Denis, Ermes and Levan’s level if he had continued training for armwrestling.

Denis should be above Ermes, specially since your reason to put him where he is because of his arm power, and in that department Denis would still be better.

@@PerformanceEnhancingPancakes There's a difference between gym lifts strength and actual match strength, even in the arm strength department. Like Levan, he supposedly beat all Denis records in gym lifts, but if he ever loses is because he got hooked or flop pressed (where he doesn't have arm power to finish the match and gasses his arm out), so we can say that Levan's weakness is his arm (as insane as that might sound, lmao), whereas with Denis, I legit have never seen him lose a match because his arm was lacking power or endurance, for me he has the strongest arm power in the history of armwrestling.

I would've picked the same guys like you for this list, but it would be a bit different: 10. John Brzenk (yeah a bit of an honorary title, but he was still super good) 9. Dave Chaffee (Dave Chaffee is super good and could give everyone a run for his money, but in somehow I dont feel like putting him higher) 8. Vitaly Laletin (I think Vitaly now or 2019 would beat Dave Chaffee with his pronation and speed) 7. Andrey Pushkar (prime Pushkar was impressive, but I dont see how it shouldnt be an absolute war with Vitaly) 6. Travis Bagent (when the prize money is good enough, he will become the best, Prime Travis like we only saw him in very few matches is a menace and in my opinion would've deserved the number 1 title at some point, but he is also Travis so yeah😅) 5. Richard Lupkes (I think he is quite underrated, he already was very old, when he came back to the sport and he had wars with everyone, now I think his prime was still a bit stronger, and in my opinion he sits here, although yeah, highly subjective) 4. Ermes Gasparini (The backpressure Gladiator on the 4th spot, he had a great victory against Vitaly, who had similar benefits, like Pushkar or also Travis would have against him, so Ill put him above them also he is very technical and has a lethal press, I think he will get even higher on this list) 3. Devon Larratt (simply insane what he did this year he only lost to Genadi, while Genadi was a stylistic nightmare for him, but still it wasnt only that, what brought him down at that match, and now he is even stronger and destroyed everyone besides Genadi this year, he didnt even lose a single round since Genadi, maybe he is the guy to dethrone Levan) 2. Levan Saginashvili (without any doubt he has the most power out of all in general, he is so powerful he can beat everyone in just one lane, and thats absoltely insane) 1. Denis Cyplenkov (I mean it could be wrong but anyways I think prime Denis was literally invincible, not in a tournament, I think Levan would beat him, if its just one round, but in a supermatch I think Denis reigns supreme, he has likely the best hook, that the sport has ever seen, and literally beat Michael Todd in an endurance battle, and then there is Denis kingsmove and Ill say it in my opinion it is a serious case for the best kingsmove ever, I didnt see anyone beat his kingsmove, besides when he was already beat up, like against Liliev, and all these factors combined, that likely is stronger inside than Levan, that his endurance was absolutely crazy and that his kingsmove is also a quite good weapon he had let me think, that he would beat Levan, now would he beat Devon, I dont know, since Devons versatility could be a serious problem, but for now I will let it like this) Likely this list is wrong but anyways, I had fun😅

One big issue is you have Laletin at 9th and Ermes at 3rd. But a weaker Laletin (in your opinion since you cited 2019 as his prime not current shape) gave hell to Ermes in a match that could’ve gone either way…. So they def should be a lot closer to each other on the list! Imo Ermes is 6 and Laletin is 7. I also think Laletin today is at his prime, not 2019 Laletin 🙂 jmo!!! Also (and this is just my opinion) but prime Brzenk is top 5 for sure. Maybe even top 3. I also have the same top 10 (but in a different order) except I have Goodridge instead of Lupkes. Goodridge and Lupkes went back and forth when Lupkes was at his peak - and Goodridge was 6-7 years away from his peak. People underestimate / forget about Goodridge imo…. And I’m not sure why that is…. Not sure the overall score between Goodridge and Lupkes though!
