Never payed much if any attention to Armwrestling I'm here as a Brian Shaw fan and Strongman fan. Has a strongman ever competed in armwrestling? There is lifting weights and then there is lifting weights like Brian does. His muscle density is out of this world. I'm not here to say he could beat anyone but until a match is made he needs to work his way up. If you look at all the ways Strongmen are its not in doing one thing over and over there entire body is strong. Brian right now is doing all he can to make Strongman more popular then it currently is. If he can help Armwrestling then we all win.

If Brian Shaw really made a commitment to the sport, I think he could level up fast, but it would still take a few years. He would have to train hard and with purpose for arm wrestling. What he has going for him is unmatched baseline strength, huge body and frame, huge hand and grip strength that already matches top arm wrestlers. He's intelligent and knows how to use his body for leverage, so potentially he'll a be a quick study. Most of all he's extremely competitive. I really hope he makes a run at it. He would be a great ambassador to the sport and would be so cool to see.

LoL what's so cerebral about going to a gym to lift as much weight as possible in the deadlift, squat and pressing? Shaw gave up on MMA, because he would have embarrassed himself, and has NO TECHNIQUE +'the dedication once he stopped getting paided. The amount of not just strength but experience and specificity needed to be JUST the local arm wrestling champ is way more than Shaw can learn at his age. (Think CM PUNK trying to learn MMA, and he worked with the best for 2 years) Shaw should just entertain this and get as much money as he can (Because we all know he's just going to get on the main card (Like Larry Wheels did) and not work his way up thru the ranks. I don't get why Devon didn't try blocking with his shoulder one of the rounds. Not sure what the move is called but it is what he did against Jerry back in 2018. Also I feel like when Ermes fought Levan, when he got the match stopped he turned and used his shoulder and triceps in sort of a flop wrist press, I was hoping Devon would try that if he could get another stop.
