I think rare saw what happened when they added Chest of Fortunes to the FoF vaults and tried to mimic it with skull of siren song voyages but they made it to common.

I have a really annoying bug that I get almost 100% of the time. The bug is where my Ship title will not show up on my ship. So I half to scuttle to fix it but heres the kicker, if you want and have a nice clean ship but end up with no name showing now you half to scuttle and pay money. Having to pay in game money for a bug just to have a nice looking is hard to maintain money wise.

Man I wish sooii much that Rare remake all Hunters Call gameplay. - Missions of fishing (go to island X to fish Z) with bonuses rewards for these fishing. - Sea Monsters loot remake (parts of the monsters with especial rewards, ex: megalodon eyes, teeth) - More wildlife like octopus, crab, seahorses, starfish (not just get it by fishing, but also finding it along the shores or while they are "swimming" in shallow waters just like living things).

To add to the last one, i got kicked the other day for lazybeard while in the ship customization menu. I was able to get back in, but still annoying as i was active the entire time, checking out all of the trinkets and stuff.

None of this actually needs to get fixed except for the rejoin errors. This seems like a bunch of quality of life stuff. You know what really needs to get fixed. Hit reg and the fact that you can turn off the anti-cheat or maybe even the running problem.

Very happy to see the UI in #2. Please Rare. Don’t add more menus… MOTD…. This is after hiring another studio to help them with their UI/UX so big improvement that was. SoT has the worst UI of any game I’ve ever played. I know this sounds harsh but it’s been years and the UI only gets worse each update.

The amount of fights i have lost by accidentally opening brigsy's request is too damn high

I wait for hourglass invades and there are 3 huge problems with it. If you get the same invader twice in a row you won't get rep for the second win. The invade timer starts after you sink the player it's 20 minutes they need to cut it to 5 or 10 minutes.. you could have a 20 minute fight, win, wait 20 minutes then end up waiting another 20+ minutes because everyone who can invade you is already in an hg fight. And all ships need to be 6 blocks away for you to be invaded I think they can lower it to 3 blocks away.

This is a great video sir! 🎉 You hit all of the major points perfectly! The only thing I disagree with is the world events being visible on the map and under the skybox. I remember way back in my day they said they want you to keep your eyes peeled. I think it would kind of ruin the immersion even though, yeah it would make your session easier to figure out. I might not have the most time in Sot but as someone who has a fair amount of play time, The sink time for items have never been a problem for me.

Loot used to not sink so fast (I think) and the loot did not spreed everywhere on the water. Also if it is a lot of loot it will sink faster. It is not ideal . - Great points

About the megalodons and krakens. I would say, make them give a small amount of ancient coins depending on the rarity. It doesn’t have to be much, but if the most common megalodon gives like 25 ancient coins while the shrouded ghost gives like 200 (I don’t want to go overboard with these because i get rare needs to make money somehow) then that would make them way more enticing, especially to newer players or people who don’t have that much money yet want cool skins and stuff. The ancient skeletons are just simply not enough in my eyes to justify the game having this many microtransactions seeing as this is a 40 euro game. Having something else besides the pass that gives a small amount of ancient coins and that also isn’t too easy or rng sounds like a good plan to me. Megalodons and krakens take some time and resources to kill and you can’t really easily go out and solo a bunch of megs because they still are a bit rng to see. I tought of this idea a while back because I would love to see something more done to make ancient coins accessible to more players and this is an easy implementation with no chance of really ‘farming’ it because i also want rare to still make money. Another thing i’d like to see is more cursed treasure. The chest of rage, a thousand grogs and sorrow ar my favourite chests in the game because they are more interactive and fun to mess around with. I thought of a bunch of them, so here’s my list: Chest of the serpent, which would poison you unless you feed it Chest of dark clouds which attracts storms and lightning but can be calmed with placing it in the sun Chest of a thousand curses which would apply a random cursed ball effect unless you hit it with a sword once and a while Chest of the party which makes you dance unless you play a shanty for it Chest of the siren song which attracts sirens to your ship unless you find a siren gem to give to it so it calms down Chest of the living skull which has a skeleton clinging on to it which shoots at you if you don’t shoot i first after which it will flop over until it can shoot again Chest of wandering phantoms which summons ghosts on your ship periodically Chest of the hog which dies if you don’t feed it after which it becomes worth less Chest of the hen which tries to flee seeing as it has chicken legs so you gotta feed it worms Chest of ancient fiends which hightens the chance for megalodons to spawn Chest of the tentacle which (you guessed it) hightens the chances for krakens to spawn These are just a few but i think they would add a ton more fun things to see and do and also makes the athena voyage for cursed treasure more diverse because currently that voyage 9/10 times just gives you a million vhests of rage

On Xbox, I go into the water and the water is insanely buggy. It will disappear for a slight second and I’ll fall through the map but get teleported back to where I was??

This list is pretty solid but there are couple things that came across my mind that I feel could be added. I think guilds were a huge let down for me. My hope was that they would make it easier to interact and make friends with people. There's no guild chat. There's no way to tell who is online. If people are using the guild crew feature and their ship is joinable, I don't know if that means I'm allowed to join or if they're waiting on someone else. There's no way to communicate any of that so more often than not, I see people pledging their own ships and doing their own thing. It seems to me that there's not really much point to being in a guild and people are just in them because it's another faction that they can grind out. Additionally, they could also add a way to search for guilds to make it much easier to find people to play with. Most of my friends are only playing this game because I'm the only person that they know. I think making changes here and combining them with your suggestions in point #10 would be a huge improvement. I would actually put this at #2 on your list. I think custom servers are also another big let down. Recently the stability of custom servers has declined a lot. Trying to get everyone onto the same server without having disconnect issues is a major problem. It's really frustrating to be watching an event and seeing them lose the fight because they can't get back into the game. You have people working their butts off to organize these events and it's super discouraging for both them and the participants. Also I think custom servers need to be a full sandbox mode. The fact that a skelly ship spawn and ruin the battle during a tournament is ridiculous. Some options I think they should add include turning off PvE spawns, customizing supply counts, creating items on demand, teleporting players/ships, arena boundaries, and an observer mode. While there are only a small number of players that partake in these events, I think it's much bigger than that. Events are great at bringing the community together and they can be great tools at creating interest for the game itself when done properly. Thanks for the video.

Double barrel is a great finisher tool as if you hit someone with the eye of reach it gives you 2 chances to kill. But yeah the charge shot is kinda worthless and feels like its just there to get people to use the weapon over the pistol by pretending you can use it like the normal pistole if you just use the charge shot.

I always use double barreled pistol in pve since it can still one shot skeletons, which gives you 6 bullets for 6 skeletons, in comparison to the 5 of other weapons, in pure pve I usually rock the double barreled in combination with the flintlock

Here's something that I want them to change. That f****** blowhorn! Seriously I got stuck in a corner by two pirates that did nothing but kept me locked in a certain location with two blow horns and I couldn't do nothing to fight back or even stop my ship from sinking! Either they need to remove this item or they need to rework it to where it doesn't interact with the player that much so we actually have a chance to fight back and not be locked in a f****** Corner in our ship and not be allowed to even do a goddamn thing when they destroy our ship. Or constantly blown off of our ship. And they need to make it where you can't read bury this thing and then unbury it to make it have its full charge again.

I think that the daily messages aren't that big of a deal, it's cool to see the new thing that rare has created. It's also a company that needs to make money and I would rather have a daily pop up then have the game devolve into a pay to win system.

My thoughts on the world event timer is that it would ruin tucking if a world event appears empty but the timer says it's not. Really just in general, the ability to do raids makes world event timing QoL unnecessary

As a newish player that has played for about 2 months now I'd really only change two things about this game. I'd nerf the blunderbuss, make it 9 dmg per pellet instead of 10, keep the knockback as is. This would still make the blunderbuss the most effective weapon to guard ladders, but since it wouldn't be a 1 shot any longer you'd see less and less people running it otherwise. And secondly, if you get sunk twice while on a server you should get kicked. It's frustrating to have to deal with the same idiots over and over again since they got nothing to lose by coming back.

I was playing on PS5 the other day and my crew and I got disconnected mid ship-battle multiple times. We lost hours' worth of looting and got a "gg" from the talented folks.

As a PS5 player, a bug I come across often is the merchant alliance shop. Starting my session, buying resource crates. The money gets taken off me but I can't get the crates. The only way to solve the issue is sail to another outpost, quite annoying.

Guild rep gain speed NEEDS to scale with the size of the guild

I have a few issue with the game and ways to add or make it feel better. In general i think they need to relook at everything they add and make small changes. Weither that is re looking at some commodations completion's, im sorry but 120 chest off Fortune or 250 horn is ridiculous, buffing or nefing loot and money ect. Now for the specifics. With world events, i think they need to buff the loot across the board. We have new loot items and raid items so they should be in world event. I also believe they shoulr add a new type off worls events, Fortune events. Were every WE can spawn in as a fortune like fof were is spawns very high level loot, athena and the chest off Fortune. Normal we have a chance to spawn in as a fortune event. Secondly i think guilds need to be look at foe smaller guild. A buff to the rep they give depending on the size off the guild. Lastly i think safer seas should get a change for veterans and high level players. Keep what we have for new plays but lets say when you reach 100 in every faction you can now do pretty much everything in safer seas. This would inckude athena and reaper, all world events captain ships and guild. With a 50% reduction to gold and rep. The only restrictions would be HG and events. I believe this could increase it player base and let people enjoy the game how they want to. And besides when you reach 100 i believe you've experienced a lot off what the game has to offer in high seas. These are just some ideas I would like too see to make the game just a bit better. And not going to lie this does come from a solo player. I love the game a lot but playing solo is a nightmare

The solo player is at a huge disadvantage against two or more players. Something needs to be done about that. Maybe have the sloop load two or three cannons balls per cannon

One thing I'd like to see is an Hourglass rework, because currently it is frustrating and demoralizing to fight a long battle giving everytving you got just to lose and get a tiny portion of xp. No timer, and the enemy can just repair over and over, it's like capture the flag but the enemy team can uncapture the flags you got, and resetting to the start ith no time limit. The gamemode onoy takes the outcome in consideration and not the time invested, nor the effort and performance done. So either rework hourglass to alleviate the frustration for losing players or just add more ways of earning allegiance, perhaps more PvP .odes or whatever. Right now it feels pretty bad, and perhaps it is only worth doing it during gold and glory and community weekends.

They need to fix guns and double gunning. Its super clunky and sometimes your gun just will not shoot even if its been enough time since you swapped. Ive never used quick swap anyway. Im sure theres a way to use two guns without getting killed randomly because you pull the trigger and the gun decided to just not work

I really wish there was a better sense of physicality in the game. You really do just feel like a pair of floating arms. You look down, no lower torso or legs. There's no headbobbing when you're moving. Just literally a floating pair of arms. Melee combat is floaty and has no sense of weight. Melee animations are super basic and boring.

Idk if its just me or what but almost every time i use a barrel to get supplies as soon as i exit if I'm already trying to turn my character and run it doesn't let you turn at all, you can go backwards and forwards all day but until you literally stop and hold still for a few seconds you cant turn or move at all besides forward and backwards, and often that couple seconds it takes to be able to change direction again is the vital few seconds that gets me killed by a player or attacked by a skele finally that i'd been juking 🫠
