I think the scene of Pam (with her new face) in her doctor's office with her doctor/ " new love", confronting Cliff should have been featured as well. Pam telling Cliff that she's going to stay with her new man and to tell everyone else that he never saw her was in some way out of character for her.

Great idea!! As usual, overall very well done, but I must quibble a bit. It's not hard to believe JR had a love before Sue Ellen. He is several years older than she so Vanessa is not so far fetched. I don't think JR asking Donna to lead the oil lobby is so far fetched. Whatever JR can be, he is no dummy and what he said to her was right on point. He may not have liked Donna but I think he always respected her.

The whole Hayleyville storyline. There is no way that a man like JR Ewing would not have made the lives of the people of that town a living hell for the hell they put him through and for the sheriff to have the nerve to come to JR's office was especially ridiculous.

I don't see a Donna out of character there... I see a tired Donna with JR's tricks. I see a Donna watching her mariage with Ray sinking. I see a Donna on the verge of exiting Ewings universe. I see a fed up Donna with anything she's not. And back to her roots : politics. Washington. The passion of a lifetime. Maybe Donna was out of character when she first married Ray and pretended to become a country girl. I honestly see this Donna (widow of Sam Culver and stepmother of Dave Culver) being back to her true self... At last.

I don't think it was "out of character" that a hungover Sue Ellen wandered around instead of calling someone. It was right after Bobby's funeral and J.R had told her once more that nobody likes her, even Miss Ellie (understandably, she was in mourning) had turned her down. She had lost Dusty. So who should she have called? Her purse was also cone, she didn't have a dime on her body and she didn't know in which part of the city she was. She was totally lost. For me it was a very fitting (albeit temporary) ending of her being a drunk.

Things happens and you react in a way you certainly didn't think you would have reacted a few years before... We change, we grow up, get old, loose a dream or two, become wiser or dumber... I agree TNT's Cliff had turned into some sort of a psycho for unknown reasons... But who knows what might have happened between 1991 and 2012... ? (Except for Cynthia Cidre practice of vodoo) Twenty years is a long timeline... Was he sick ? A brain tumor ? Who knows... ? Anyway, Cliff never been a saint. Remember first seasons ? He used to be a politician ready to sell his soul. A selfish prick who manipulated and betrayed Sue Ellen, Afton, Jamie, Mandy, his own sister and so on... The only out of character character seems to be Sly. A rebel at last ! Fuck the boss ! I didn't see that coming ! PS : And goody two shoes Bobby (actually another selfish texan prick) not even trying to empathize with his awfully wounded wife is no news and certainly not out of character. (Season 2, Season 3, season 6 etc. Just check)
