Big fat word. In addition to your musical talents, you have just exhibited a great deal of sagaciousness. Well done........

The first reason I want to push me to write faster, and produce faster, even if I write for myself and nor for any client, is that I don't wan't to lose the impulse and whole "vibe" or feeling of my original idea. Maybe it's still an amateur kind of thinking, I know, but I feel that working a bit faster is forcing me to become somehow "better" at this. I don't overthink, etc...

Same for me, when I have a new idea I always try to push myself to get it done as quick as I can before I lose that "spark".

Hi Jon! I'm currently writing music for a tv series and they are asking me to deliver stems for the main mixer but I don't know how much should I "premix" my tracks, I usually use a couple of plugins in my mixbus for my client bounces, so I'm worried that when making stems my tracks will be a little "flatter". I hope you could talk a little more about mixing or premixing stems for this kind of media. Thanx for all the tips!

I have a question about #4: Is your recommendation here to NOT use temp music / reference tracks? Or were you trying to say that trying to decode how to get the same "mood" is acceptable, but it is a slippery slope?
