I can’t believe how the Twilight Zone was so ahead of its time. With each episode being so unique and powerful.

The episodes are truly timeless, and most of them are still relevant today. They aren't trying to be contemporary, to complain about the politics of the day or to make pop culture references. Each story has some kind of statement.

The term ahead of it's time is a ludicris term based on the idea that things progress and get better....If Twight Zone where AHEAD OF IT'S TIME we should have better shows than the Twight Zone Now WE DON"T......We should have better pop music than we did in the 60's and 70's WE DON'T.....We should have more buying power than we had in the 1950's WE DON"T

"You've been looking behind you Martin, try looking ahead" Is one of the most heartbreaking and heartwarming lines in the whole show. A man face to face with his dad, as a grown man and having to let both his dad and his childhood linger in the past, while his dad encourages him to look forward to new memories instead of the one's he's already made. Its such a brilliant episode.

My favorite is "One for the Angels." An old street vendor makes a deal with Death that he won't die until he gives the best sales pitch of his life. Thinking the vendor had Death fooled, he immediately retires. But one of the children who frequently buys his toys gets hit by a car. To distract Death from reaping her soul, the Vendor ends up giving the best sales pitch of his life to Death and takes her place.

That one's called "One for the Angels" and it stars the late great Ed Wynn playing the role of Lou Bookman. Definitely a true classic, and I couldn't help laughing at the very end when Wynn, now aware that he is about to go into the afterlife, apprehensively asks the angel of death if he is going "up there" only for the angel to reassure him "Up there, Mr. Bookman. You made it." RIP, Ed Wynn and RIP Murray (Angel of death) Hamilton.

Lord Nurgle- He wasn't making the pitch at the end to save himself. He was doing it to save the little girl Mr. Death had decided to take in his place. Another episode that falls under the category of "Inspiring."

One for the Angels is not only my favorite Twilight Zone episodes but one of my favorite episodes of any television series ever. The performances, the story, the outcome, it's all virtually flawless to me. Time enough at last is such a close second that it's almost impossible for me to even say that One for the Angels is my favorite, despite how amazing it is. These two episodes are immediately what I think when I hear the words Twilight Zone.

I find there are two types of episodes, those that try to be creepy/freaky, and those that are just weird/twisty but not necessarily frightening. I think one of my favorites that was not listed here was Night Call, the one where the lady receives calls in the middle of the night from someone but she can't figure out who for a long time. There's an eerie realness to the calls that would really freak me out, and everything else is so silent when the phone line is picked up, that it gets to you in the best way. Especially when you hear the person start talking.

I had the pleasure of voicing Talky Tina (I'm a stocky bearded guy btw) and serving as the tech manager for my school's production of the Twilight Zone (which we actually asked for the rights to adapt into a production) back when I was in grade 11. We adapted "The Living Doll", "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up", "Five Characters in Search of an Exit", and "The Shelter"; we were also considering on doing Nightmare at 20 000 feet, but ultimately we cut it due to set limitations and our already decently lengthy run time.

The Twilight Zone was everything that America isn't anymore. It featured amazing actors, incredible stories, and thought provoking messages. The episodes were full of traditional American culture and values. The ideas and feelings of the 50's were prevalent, views that are "taboo" today. This was the era when America was great. I think we all know why it isn't great anymore. When I view The Twilight Zone, I'm taken back to the past, to watch an incredible show that doesn't suck ass.
