Number 3. In English we have, “make a mountain out of a molehill” which is conceptually pretty similar!

"robiti z mukhy slona" - to create an elephant out of a fly. In Hungarian, to create an elephant out of a flea (a bolhából elefántot csinál); meaning is the same.

"Like two peas in a pod" is an English idiom for two things alike, especially two people who are very similar. "Even though Sue's cousin Deb is two years younger than she is, they are like two peas in a pod."

For number three, "to make a mountain out of a molehill" is to make a bigger, more negative situation from a smaller one. So, to exaggerate, assume the worst and "jump to conclusions"

2:24 English translation suggestion (from a native speaker): “During stressful situations, Anna always exaggerates too much” or more directly “Anna always exaggerates too much during stressful situations” -- sounds more natural to English speakers ♥️ your channel - keep up the good work!

What is "dab hand"? I am not familiar with this term 🧐
@TurtleRocker12
@TurtleRocker12 5 ай бұрын
It's obscure. I hadn't heard it before. It means you're good or "old hat" at something. I've heard "having a deft hand" which means a skilled hand. Anyways, it means you're good at something or a pro. 😊
