I’m so happy that you guys actually acknowledged how heartbreaking Alaric’s death really was. I knew Elena wasn’t dead because I knew eventually somehow she became a vampire so when she died there were no tears for her they were alllll for Ric. I cried my heart out for him the whole entire day and the next I was so sad😂 in my opinion, his death was the saddest in the whole show. But Enzo made me sob so much and so did Stefan but I loved Enzo more then Stefan so it was a lot worse for him but not nearly as bad as Ric’s death.

I know nobody cares but WHAT ABOUT JOE. Hers was so sad because Alaric had lost so many people he loved and when joe died it wasn't just her, she was pregnant. Even though the twins survive, it was lead on to believe that Joe and the twins both died.

I actually hated Klaus after he killed Jenna. When I got to understand his character more I realized he was misunderstood and hurt by the world.

Lexi was one of the first on the show to bite it and Jenna's was a very major death.Iit still hurts me to this day to think about either one. I know Lexi was only in 1 episode, but her and Stefan's relationship really made her special and his reaction to her death is absolutely heartwrenching. And Jenna's hurt because she was such a nice character and one of Elena's only parental figures. Her death was especially heartbreaking because of Elena and Alaric's reactions which were sold amazingly by the actors. I hate that nobody ever talks about either one. And sure, Lexi has come back a couple of times because of Stefan's imagination or as a ghost-like figure, but that just makes her death even more devastating.I am glad Jenna at least got a spot on this list, but I think Lexi should've been more than just an honorable mention. Sorry for rambling, I know, I am kidding of annoying.

Kai is one of the most misunderstood characters in the show. I am not saying that the things he did was right, because he definitely did a long of bad things. He had a very very rough childhood because his family hated him and isolated him probably for most of his childhood because he had different powers than the rest of his siblings. His family also hated his powers so much that they told him he was an abomination (which he literally didn't choose to have those powers, like it's not his fault that he was born with them) and Kai's parents kept having kids until they could have another set of twins just because they didn't want him being the leader of the coven because of his unique powers. Kai being hated by his entire family and isolated because of his powers probably caused him to be embittered against them and built up anger. Then, they betrayed Kai and put in him in the prison world, only further allowing him to hold that anger for 18 years in the prison world alone.

How the fuck is Sheriff Forbes a honorable mention!? She was one of the purest characters on the show and she was definitely one of my favourites, she deserves number 1 spot. Also Aunt Jenna should be like 6 or 5 not 8. (Another thing, am i the only one that didn't find Vicki's death sad?)
